This one time I really needed lotion, and I was fairly broke and so I took a banana peel and rubbed it on my feet. It might sound crazy but it worked! Being rich in happiness, as you mentioned, that's a great outlook on life, love it!
The containers like the one the Mini Tarte came in are great mini greenhouses for when u are starting seeds from scratch. Just put some seeds in a small cup of yogurt w your grow medium, spray it w water, place it in mini greenhouse in the window and watch it grow. Just spray when it looks dry. It works well 😊

Great video. I do the same thing with my lotions and toothpaste. I used to have a the same fridge. It is surprising how much will fit in there. Nothing wrong with being frugal. I can tell you have a grateful heart.
Thank you! Yes, the mini-fridge can pack a lot of food, surprisingly! When I bought it, I did not know if I could make it work, but I been using it for a few years. One benefit is I don't "lose" anything in the fridge! There's people who live in much smaller dwellings like vans and campers who also use the mini-fridge. Where there is a will, there's a way! I was so glad to get that moisturizer from the food pantry, it's a great product.
@FlavorsandTextures I'm happy I qualify for the food pantry. They coordinate with some really nice stores. I'm glad they have vegetables and salads, plus their personal care products are things I would probably not be able to try otherwise!

You didn't mention how you spent Thanksgiving day. I stayed home and cooked traditional dishes for myself from my preps. It was fun, I spent time with my animals, and didn't drive anywhere.
@hoosierpioneer We had dinner. It was not a Turkey Thanksgiving dinner but that is just fine with me! The holidays can be challenging with the departure of loved ones, it's just not "the same" if you know what I mean. I try to stay off the roads myself during the holiday season as much as possible! But I will make a trip to the store if I run out of coffee creamer, ha!
Hi Sarah! You did so well at the food pantry! I couldn't believe the price on those packages of chicken thighs. $5.49/lb?! My grocery store has chicken thighs on sale for .99/lb this week. Granted, they're not boneless and skinless like yours! Lol! I'm always looking for sales, especially on meat. Just cut out my cable TV and installed Roku last week that I purchased with a gift card. The savings is incredible! Couldn't be happier with my decision. Very cold here in NJ. We had some light snow showers here today. Winter is on its way! Have a good week! ~ Chris .

Hi Sarah! I cut my lotion tubes in half because it makes it easier to get to. Then I can still use the top half of the tube and slide it back over the bottom half and it doesn't dry out. I also use everything to the last drop. I don't think it has anything to do with being poor. I think it is just being a good steward of the resources that God has given you. I use an old Popsicle stick to scrape out empty carmex tubes. You wouldn't believe how much is left inside those little tubes after you can't seem to squeeze anymore out.

I found out the hard way! My ideas for working on the home got flipped upside down! Some of the home improvements were put on the back burner, then I became accustomed to it like not having a stove or using a mini-fridge. I like your idea for a Day In The Life (DITL) eating! Thank you for your suggestion.

I used your paper towel trick too and it works so well. I have a cucumber that is still fresh almost an entire month in the fridge.
