Sound like me Steve. Left Fleetwood in 1974 for London at 21. Many jobs, and businesses. Lived in many countries. Now on the road in our self-converted 100% off-grid life-pod. Now in Albania, departing for Italy on the 24th Oct, making our way to winter in Tunisia. Life at 71 could not be any more enjoyable. Brilliant video. Brought back a good few memories and one or two familiar faces too. I served my apprenticeship at Fylde Ice and never imagined the fishing industry would disappear the way it has. I also worked at ICI and look what happened to that.

This has brought many memories back. I was a Trawlerman from 1967 to 1970.
Glad you enjoyed it.
Very nice 👍
I left in '77 never to go back. That brought back so many memories of how it was. Grew up hard in a hard town ready to take on the world, and I did.

Great pictures! I had forgotten the paddling pool. The town looks strange to me with no pier and no Lifeboat House.
Thanks Tony Sampson . A great ODE. I think we may have known one another in the late 60’s.
Thank you David..Your name rings bells for sure... :)
An excellent video .
Thank you John

Thanks George. Did you work with Bob Long?
@@wheelyliving4093 I did. He's a little bit older than me but I used to work with him sometimes. His dad Tony was the chief engineer at Fylde Ice.
Can't go back, you can never go back
