    I love these plants they are so Majestic and for the first time ever I have kept them through the Winter here near Watford
    and hoping they will flower fingers crossed ... btw loved your video ..👍👍

    Have been grown them for years love them, have tons of them growing in garden they reseed like anything....I love them cos the bees love them and the size of them they are way past height of our garage.

    Echiums are a huge genius..please which specific Echium is this ?

      HI Ya they are Echium pininana (pinnifolium) which are single-stemmed biennials

    Mine have never been shorter than 15ft one was close to 20ft this year , any tips on the little spikes that stick in you??? More concerns about the dogs I can put on gloves

    I feel that given how mild this winter has been, Echium pininana is surviving everywhere this winter in the British Isles, this may mean it becomes a bit of a pest soon. Like you said once it flowers it will get anywhere and everywhere.

      @@wiltshiregardener8038 as it turns out Echium pininana create a vast seed bank so last year seed set will be popping up for many years to come!
