What do you spray do you use to keep the weeds down and not hurt the plant / tree? I never spray because I'm always afraid of damaging the plant. I have some 2-year-old fruit trees that I would like to spray around. Thank you
So if you’re taking the approach of synthetics no matter what you spray it is going to have a negative affect on your plant whether or not you spray it on the ground or on the plant it does not matter, (it is a legal requirement to be under a certain amount of contamination for a 48 hour period, the problem with this. Is that they’re only measuring the amount of contaminants on the outside of plants so what happens to it it’s taken within the cell wall and transferred to the plant. But even in this case there are organic options to help remove these harmful contaminants found in synthetics) a much simpler approach is to follow the principles of nature. If you’ve ever been in a forest you’ll notice that nobody’s removing dead decaying organic matter but yet the ecosystem thrives, the reason for that is the soil food web keeps nutrients in a perpetual cycle water in a perpetual cycle and allows things to continue naturally. There are definitely alternatives to doing things like they are teaching here take everybody’s word with a grain of salt because you all go onto college campuses and read studies that they published and have been peer reviewed saying that there is no disease control there is no pest control for certain situations but it’s simply not true. Natural farming methods have revolutionized the ability to put the power back into the farmers hands using Korean natural farming, JADAM, and partnering with the soil food web by feeding the soil rather than breaking down complex soil systems that we as a human species still do not understand completely. There’s new information being released about soil relationships every day. I hope this helps you along your journey and realizing that there are other options and you do not have to go to the store and buy some thing that’s organic. There’s 3 ways I know of two naturally keep plants at bay, the first one which will come as a surprise is using species that are more desirable and more prolific, the second option is to change the succession of soil so these type of plants aren’t able to thrive and survive the third option is to simply deep mulch and there is a multitude of mulch options available you don’t have to rely on a store to get mulch if you live in a community most likely people will give you mulch for free
