Black ops 2 is my favorite. It perfectly summed up the campaign. It started off with showing high tech computer programming (letting us play as David in the future with high tech weapons and stuff), then it shows Cold War era soldiers, tanks and helicopters, and weapons (letting us play as Mason and his missions take place during the 80s), and the Menendez’s necklace (showing that he’s the antagonist of the game)
Something Id like to mention is the readable sentence near the end on the CIA paperwork. "The calm has ended. They are begining to return." Which I think alludes that they (CIA?) Have been gathering info or observing events between BO1 and BO2. I think BO2 takes place during a 2nd Cold War. After all these years of info, they now know that shits about to go down soon, very soon...
I love how the Zombies round start theme probably started as Treyarch's theme. Then got added into the zombies mode, which was a passion project in w@w. Then finally with bo2 it cemented itself as Treyarch's theme. It's probably the reason I associate zombies with Treyarch. Seeing the logo while hearing the round start theme.
Every treyarch intro when the treyarch logo appears, the same sound effect of changing the round from the zombies mode is still being used, but they've changed it a little in order to sound it more way modern, it's obviously because the rest of the Black Ops series are part from the modern year and not from the 40's year.
They need to bring back these super cool intro cinematics cuz they are really nice especially black ops 3 that one’s probably my favorite out of them all
I'm curious about your opinion. The black ops 3 cinematic intro is for me the least interesting one. No images, very few sound effects, close to no music, minimal color pallet, strange Activision logo jingle and a freeze at 1:06. The geometric patterns may express advanced technology and the silence of space, but it doesn't really match the game's tone and storyline. In short, I get that BO3 intro tried a new and unique approach, but it failed to optimise its originality, which didn't make it worth the change. (still in my opinion)
