Dragons, Team Rocket Returns... RETURNS!, I'm really looking forward to see what else we will get in the 2nd half! As someone who loved the 1st half, I'm excited.
For me, second half of SM to SWSH is the Golden Age of Pokémon (a time of great prosperity, a time of huge gains and profits, empty shelves and massive prints, and more people joining the hobby then ever). SV so far for me is more of a “modern renaissance”, an age of rebirth, cultural shift, dedication to the arts (like a paradigm shift to English silver borders, art rares, amazing art styles, return to EX, team rocket, and what is to come in the second half…).
I think S&V block is gona go down as one of the best eras. Looking back at older sets, I just don’t get that special tingle anymore (accept the alts but tbh it’s only because of the price point…. Accept Tina that art is fire and no one can tell me otherwise lololol) After experiencing all the artworks and new styles of cards from S&V bro I 100% agree we live in the golden age rn.
Every era focuses on game dlc new pokemon for a few sets then gets back into multiple mons. Most people don't realize that most of the pokemon in a set are only in them because they have some kind of highlight corresponding to the games.
@@MrGuitarfreak132 battle styles, chilling reign were both dlc related. Lost origion and silver tempest where for legends arceus bot sword and shield. And crown zenith is for literally every game/dlc on the switch at the time. We've only got two dlc heavy sets in scarlet and violet so far and the same thing happened in sword and shield. Both being back to back. Wr already know we are about to get a dragon set. So we know they aren't going to keep up with dlc inspired theme. I think the problem is people just want to shit on scarlet and violet but the same thing happened with sword and shield. Had back to back dlc sets which where some of the most under rated sets being battle styles and chilling reign.
If you loved Shiny Treasure and VStar Universe and don't mind terrestralization you will probably highly enjoy Terestal Festival since its the high class Japanese set for this year. Expect another Charizard though considering every Japanese year end high class set has had a Charizard for the past 5 years (which I believe is actually when they began?).
well dragon set is still likely DLC heavy tbf (Paradise Dragona) so i wont be surprised with ppl being disappointed with expectations they set for themselves
True but I love many gen 8/9 dragons so I won’t be disappointed but many may. If they put Charizard in that set I’ll be pissed… he isn’t a dragon.. lol
Team Rocket blasting off again!
Never gets old lol

Seems like S&V is doing more dlc themed sets though than swsh did.
Exactly
