For your lower cabinet and plastic storage, I recommend getting a storage basket, like a felt basket sort of thing, from Home Goods. They usually have handles on the front. When you need to get your items you just slide it out and grab your stuff, works great in older cabinets that don’t have roll out drawers.
I live in a small town in Iowa. We have one plumber in town. It only cost me $350, toilet and installation. I am sure if I lived in a larger town, it would cost me more. But like you said that's what comes with home ownership! Love your dog.

Ants are a menace, and if you don't spray everywhere they are going to just keep moving to a different spot. Is it the black ants or red ants. We get black ants, they don't bite but are just a nuisance. We have the slow closed toilet seat on our toilet too. Love those seats. Does the new one flush more quietly than the old one did? I will pray that you stay healthy until you can get some decent health ins. Our homeowners ins. has gone way up here and it's ridiculous. But it's happening to everyone, from what I understand. Such a shame for people that have to choose between medicine and groceries. This country is in a sad state for sure. Oh also, just wanted to mention, even though the toilet fits nicely, you may want to check to see if you can lift the cover off of the tank. If you ever have to get in there to fix something, that bottom shelf will definitely be in your way.
Hi there! I had a new toilet 2 weeks ago too lol. Ewww ants - we have loads in our garden but so far none in the house. Think the poor summer we are having in UK is deterring them 😊
Once it gets above 80 degrees, a swamp cooler is useless. I leave my AC on 73 and it’s comfortable in my double wide. My bill runs around 150 a month in this heat.
There are these things I bought at Walmart around the Raid and all that. They were these little clear square containers with liquid in them and you break open the lid and sit them around. They really work for ants. I am sorry I cannot remember the name. There were like four to a package. I got a new faucet several years back and I was excited as if I had won the lottery.
I know the ants are so bad I've been dealing with them for months I'm surprised I'm not dead from all the spray I've been spraying I've cleaned all my cabinet out I've cleaned behind my stove my fridge my dishwasher and my pantry I still can't kill the ants I don't know what to do. And I need a new toilet too mine is leaking from the wax ring it never ends .Take care and good luck with you're ants hope you can get rid of them.

It flushes better and not as much water, and yes plenty of room to remove cover too
