I've been waiting for an in-depth review of the Taculus. Thanks for taking the time to do this, it's definitely on my list of things to get for the range. Hoping they make other colors in the future. An OD Green would be great!
Great review. I'm surprised there aren't more reviews on Viktos products in general but there isn't too much said about these rigs that I've seen. Hiking with even OWB holsters sucks after awhile. We go to the UP in Michigan a few times a year, along with other remote areas, and I'm thinking about running this as a, well, as intended 😆. Carry a Springfield Armory Xdm Elite 10mm (4.5) and it's tough to find holsters right now, much less anything light-bearing, extra mag capacity, and won't freak out if we run into anyone on trails. Actually, your review basically sold me on it after I typed that out! Thanks for the great content!
So you use yours for hiking trails? I'm trying to find something now that I can use to carry my Glock without having to use a holster (not fun). A chest rig seems like a better, comfier option.
@Chellsee I did! Well snowshoeing...in the UP...on the coldest day they've had this season. It worked out well for my purposes which was basically carrying a Springfield Armory Xdm Elite OSP 10mm with a 4.5" barrel and a couple extra magazines. I need to think about what else to include in the load out but I just needed the basics. Also to give you an idea on the fit, obviously I was layered up. I'm 5'11", 165-170# and an "average/fit" build. Can't remember my chest measurements but I believe it'saround41-42". Point being I was very comfortable wearing it and the straps had room. I was wearing multiple layers. Very discreet as well and not alarming. I totally understand about the holster. I used to wear a holster with a full size S&W M&P 2.0 45 and that 💩 sucked.
Very nice! I love viktos stuff I’ve been debating on getting one of there packs but I really do love my vertx packs. I will definitely need to be picking up one of the chest rigs for sure!
@@babyyota nice. Every few months I look up multicam black phone case on Amazon and all that pop up is generic nonsense. I’ll throw pelican in the mix and see what comes up

I've been wondering about this rig. I've spent so much on Viktos gear it's kind of ridiculous. I checked out your Insta and it seems you run some cool gear. You should review some of it. It'd be cool.

Makes sense. When I wore mine I had a few people mention how there should be something added to the front which is exactly what I was thinking. Should people decide not to add anything there, they wouldn’t have to even if the chest rig offered it.
@@babyyota trust me, patch areas, even when left blank, are far too conspicuous for actual covert operations. You can spot this half-hearted semi-tactical look at 100 yards

I added an admin pouch along with a Tops knife on the side. Works gang busters! Black multi for me as well.

As the name "low key" suggests, this chest rig is intended for covert use. Therefore, no patch areas or molle. ;)
