You can find high quality PCBs online, and the wire I use for soldering connections, are a single string of a 1.5mm wire.

Timer IC (NE555) doesn't use terminal 4 at all?
What's wrong with you? You have to bundle the terminals 8 and 4 together and send them to VCC for normal operation. You don't care. I don't understand how to operate normally. I'd like to hear why.
