Mad love for this song. I've been listening to Eminem since like 03/04 and always thought this song was so cool, just him being honest. Then it came on while I left a playlist on shuffle after my daughter was born and literally kinda breaking down before just going to her room and watching her in her crib for nearly an hour. I always thought this album was the best produced of the first three. It's not my favourite of them, it lacks a little of the rawness of SSLP and MMLP, but it's still quality from end to end.

My honest opinion is that this album was his greatest musical creation thus far. His technical skills have increased and from a music theory standpoint, his latest takes the cake but the music this album contains is just special and I don't know the words that define or describe this element but the only other artists I've heard that can capture this (in my opinion and experiences) are Tupac and Tech N9ne. Some songs that come to mind are Never B peace, ghetto star, mama's just a little girl, good life, thugs get lonely too. For Tech, happy ending, last words, low, feel so sad, Angel baby, trapped in a psychos body.

That was more of a melody but I hear what you’re saying. Eminem was actually holding and hitting notes in Hailies song and Mockingbird. Marshall Mathers was one of my favorite songs off of MMLP
