    My flight included 2 checked bags as well as a carry on and a personal item and im gonna try to fit all my stuff in the smaller suit case or my backpack so i can fill the bigger one with souvenirs

      Sounds like a plan!

      Dude 100% use Yamato TA-Q-BIN... It is a GODSEND. You don't need to walk anywhere with that luggage. There are lots of stairs in Japan and the stations are like labyrinths. Yamato just delivers your luggage to your next hotel... From your current hotel... Trust

    Nice tips! I used some of these strategies when we were moving internationally to cut down on our need to ship things back from Tokyo. Yamato's forwarding service was a lifesaver.
    I've followed you guys for the past few years and really enjoyed your travels through Thailand and Malaysia. Based on the shift in content, it seems like you guys are living long term in Japan now? Good for you! My family and I loved the five years we spent living on the east side of Tokyo

    So much great information! I need to watch this again and take notes! Thank you. We are cruising around Japan in autumn but plan to spend a few days in Tokyo at the end of the cruise.

      Exciting! Which cruise line are you taking?

    Excellent! Even, if not travelling with children.

      Yay! I was hoping it would still be relevant to people traveling without kids. 🌸Heidi

    Thanks for the video! I am going to Japan this fall. I saw the July carry on in the thumbnail and was wondering how it worked for you. Looks like it worked out.

      It’s working great. I just make sure not to put too big of a bag on top, since it is a small suitcase. The wheels normally work great, but it was a little hard to roll in an airport that had carpet. We used a free small luggage cart in that airport. 🌸 Heidi

    Your videos are informative for family travel, thank you!
    Can you share about the small luggage scale please?

    • @KenshoQuest
      @KenshoQuest  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi. I’ve purchased hand held luggage scales on Amazon or at travel stores. They are very convenient! I pack the scale and bring it with us, to make sure our bags are not overweight for our return flight. 🌸 Heidi

    Hello!! This is really helpful and we will definitely use your tips for our next trip to Japan! Can I ask where can I find the art supplies bag your daughter is showing? My daughter loves to color and draw during trips. Thank you in advance!

      My daughter has a Doodle Book by Mori. I can’t remember if that’s what we showed in the video.

    I was sad I didn’t have much room for souvenirs last time. I have to figure out better packing or a larger suitcase. I want to go see Team Lab Borderless too. Have a good trip, thanks for the tips

      @KenshoQuest  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks! We loved TeamLab Planets, so we’re looking forward to TeamLab Borderless too. ✨We will definitely bring items back with us, hopefully for us grown ups this time, instead of just our kids. 🌸 Heidi

    Enjoy this trip and be safe!!!
    Great callout for buying luggage there. Since we’re going carry-on only, we’re buying a checked bag from Ginza Karen for souvenirs.

      @@KenshoQuest forgot to mention that I can’t wait for George’s tech video.
      I’m a street photographer by passion (digital media educated) but am not sure if I should bring my film camera on this trip, especially given the colder weather in Nov. We’re trying to be as nimble as we can and also want to have the fondest memories, but I don’t wanna rip my HP5s - never shot film in cold weather before
      I’m also considering getting an Insta360 X3 (for the immersive memories part), so I’m keen to learn more tech suggestions.

    please advise where & brand your blue shoes are. & are they waterproof?

    • @KenshoQuest
      @KenshoQuest  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi. Sorry, those blue ballet flats are not waterproof. They are made of suede, which isn't great when it rains. They are by Belenka, but I prefer Shapen www.shapenbarefoot.com/en/

    We were planning on going to Sapporo for the snow festival. My wife and I looked at each other and said "COLD".🥶 We are heading back to Malaysia next week instead.😂🥵 We are such lightweights!

      @KenshoQuest  ปีที่แล้ว

      Maybe next year!? Since we are tropical people too we originally thought the same until we spent last winter in Sapporo and it changed everything ( for the better )... We're going to miss you. Aloha! 🤙🏼

    This is really helpful, as are all your videos. But I would like to point out that the Nomad health insurance is NOT available to people over 74. If you turn 75 after you buy it, coverage will lapse in that case, as well.

    • @KenshoQuest
      @KenshoQuest  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thanks for pointing that out!

    What do we do if we want to buy a lot of stuff. We are going for 2 weeks going from Tokyo to Kyoto and Osaka

      You could purchase a suitcase in Japan. Or bring an empty duffle bag for your return trip.
