I don’t Think that Anakin would stay with The Jedi if Obi wan left the order to be with Satine. He would want to be with obi wan on Mandalore. And I don’t think that Anakin would be more trusting of Yoda or the Jedi order if obi wan left in fact he would less trusting of Yoda plus Yoda would want both obi wan and Anakin to remain as Jedi . Since they were the Jedi that council calls upon to deal with people like Dooku and maul etc. so instead of letting Obi wan and Anakin leave the Order Yoda would rewrite the rules on marriage and relationships thus allowing both obi wan and Anakin to be happy. Thus ensuring that Obi wan on Coruscant to stop Palpatine from manipulating Anakin.
While honestly I completely agree that Anakin would've left, I always want to try and changeup what you'd expect characters to do. The reason I had Anakin stay is because when Obi Wan opened up to him about Satine it would've given Anakin an avenue for consultation. Trusting Yoda would be a large what if in of itself, but the way I saw that is Yoda just lost the master for Form 3 and Kenobi being the 21st lost Jedi master it could be eye opening (considering Dooku left not so long before). And of course they don't want to lose the chosen one. I definitely agree with what you're saying but these are some explanations to open the story up some more :)
@@PentePatrolStarWars with what if’s you need at least stay true too the characters and their values and personalitys least in part which you fail to do with Obi wan, Satine , Anakin and Yoda in your story which why I don’t I see any the of story as a likely out come or believeable one.plus Yoda wise enough to know that Anakin staying with the Jedi and being separated from obi wan is not a good thing due to unique the bond is between Anakin and Obi wan. So Yoda would realise that if obi wan left there would no barrier for Anakin against the harsher council members like mace etc so he would do what ever it took to make sure that Obi wan stayed ie changing the rules on marriage and family . The reason why this a more likely and more realistic out is because Obi wan and Satine are very loyal and committed characters and Satine would never have allowed Obi wan leave the order for her aleast not completely so Yoda would have had to come up with a compromise that allowed obi wan and Satine to be together but also allowed obi wan to remain a Jedi at least . You also need to remember that Yoda also would have likely communed with Qui gon force ghost/ voice while meditating on the obi wan wanting leave for satine situation and qui gon would have made it clear to Yoda that keeping Obi wan and Anakin together was important to Anakins emotional and mental well-being it was the fact that the council separated Anakin from Obi wan that sealed their fate in stone in movies.

The reason for that is if Yoda didn't change the rules to alone Obi to stay a Jedi and marry Satine then he would leave in this story. What that would highlight to other Jedi cause how famous Obi was in such a short time as a Jedi was there were other choices. The main one that comes to mind is the bombing of the Jedi temple and Ashoka's trial. With Obi wan gone Baress may have seen that as an option to leave especially if yoda allowed or Kenobi decided to train Jedi as protectors of the neutral systems. The other option is Ashoka's trial happens no one sides with her as we don't know the vote save Obi sided with her. Anakin completely looses it with the Order and leaves doesn't know what to do and decides to follow Obi wan. Padma either decides to stay with the Senate or pushes Naboo to join the neutral worlds. If that latter happened Alderan and Chandrila would join them and the separatists would break away. No one to save palp, kill dooku, or grevious. Galaxy now 4 major factions, Republic, Separatists, Neutral, and Hutts. Leaders are palp, palp/dooku, Obi wan/Satine/Padma/Bail, and Hutts. Palp either ends the war with 66 or lets separatists loose making 3 factions, either way tons of rebels and future rebels flew to Obi, Jedi seek refuge there, and Satine would encourage for her pacifies nature. Now you have a weak republic or seps and a really strong and growing neutral group lead by an experienced Jedi/General with Mando army.
You brought up a good point. If Obi Wan left, then the other council members would have to bury their prejudice toward Anakin. The council seemed to like sending Obi Wan and Anakin together on missions. Without his usual partner, somebody is gonna have to make sure Anakin does not do anything to crazy.
As someone who's still learning the many different occurrences in Star wars, this video and the comments beneath help me to learn more about this amazing Galaxy, thanks mates!
For absolutely all of the people here on TH-cam who are pretty talented at making Star Wars What-If Scenarios, can you pretty please do one or more of them about the overall story of the Star Wars: Dark Forces Video Game? As I haven't seen one of those having been made yet.
The whole " had you said the word i would have left the jedi order" makes me think of when obi was a padawan. When he got his nickname ben from her and when he was spending alot of time with her. So anakin would have never even met obiwan
I do think obiwan would push for a much stronger defense force for madalor to ensure madalor is seen as a neutral power but a neutral power that no one wants to get involved. Should let's say the empire is still formed, mandalor wouldn't fall from obiwans preparations. And potential for the death watch to be peacefully quelled by obiwans choices.
I could imagine Obi-Wan forming a Swiss style army to deter aggression. The population would be heavily armed and could mobilise in days, then fight a drawn out urban battle that would be of questionable value to an invader, even if it's just droids being thrown into the grinder. This kind of strategy helped to deter a German invasion of Switzerland in the Second World War.
@@TammoKorsai exactly, with him in the war in the thick of it, he would also be able to assist in what would be useful construction plans for ships and armament. Saving costs but maximizing effectiveness. Hell even my friend was talking saying that a potential for a force sensitive group to be formed. While it would not be another Jedi order, it could potentially be a way for few if any mandalorian force sensitivities to harness those basic abilities

I could also see Obi Wan willing to negotiate terms much better than satine as they would see him as a potential and respectable warrior and defender. Satine not so much, proof of that was the fact death watch rose to power
That is one of the ideas I had for this, it’s possible that the senate could’ve changed the order, depending on whether or not the senate was aware of the orders they could use on the clones. But I believe the Coruscant Guard attacking the temple makes more sense than a full on galaxy wide 66, just so Palps could get extra assistance. At the same time maybe the clones would be conflicted by the the CIS invasion… but that’s kinda why I avoided it lolll

You really need to make a whole series based on this video. It's gonna be an amazing series I'm totally up for it. Keen as to watch more of this series maybe 6parts is a possibility for genuine story depth and natural character growth. Actually Ki-Adi-Mundi would be understanding after all he was given an exception to have relationships to save his species, not only that but he was the one council member who approved of Anakin to be trained.
Just learned of you yesterday through the plo-koon what if, loving these. Can't wait to see what the channel becomes, I love the way you think about these scenarios. Luckily I've got 44 or so left after this, plo-koon what if and your very recent What if on anakin being trained by shaak ti! Also.. Holy shit, Obi wan would be a member of the lost 20 in this scenario.. now the lost 21.
So, just finished, and I'd love to see more in depth stuff if you haven't made it already! Maybe a revamp somewhere down the line, I love this scenario, especially the acknowledgement that if obi-wan stayed on mandalore, the death watch would have Essentially become irrelevant. However, one thing I'd love to see in a full series for this would be Maul's appearance, perhaps with savage, if you're a fan of those two. He could really shake it up and give kenobi some stuff to do while anakin is out there being the chosen one!
Also, don't feel too bad about keeping a lot of these what if scenarios anakin-centric. Star wars is his story, after all. Writing from the star wars prequels without anakin as the main focus would be incredibly difficult and very speculative- the fact that you didn't in your first time around, indicates to me that you know what the series is about. You love to see it
Definitely from this video on out videos get more detail heavy, like the video coming out today. While I think I'd like to return to some of these older videos and update them in the future, I think the addition of Maul and Savage would be great! Also, always a challenge to write around characters the series is based off of, but they're always the most fun!
I really liked this theory and believe that Anakin would too leave the rider if Kenobi did as well but I think that Palpetine would have sent assassins after padme to provoke him and also Kenobi cause they were technically separated but had each others backs. I do believe that Kenobi and Satine would have kids together though cause even if he doesn’t show it he does like them.
I really like your video. The only thing bugging me is you saying at 19:40, that the protestant/catholic split went on without violence. It was really bloody and laid the groundwork for centuries of war and destruction in Europe.
I think most people can agree that it wasn't the attachment itself that drove Anakin to the Dark Side. It was the fact that he had to hide it which made him vulnerable to manipulation when he thought he could trust Palpatine. If you look into Star Wars history back in the time of Reven, Reven believed that in the same way negative emotions strengthen the Sith, positive emotions like love can strengthen a Jedi. This would definitely make sense, and it would not only strengthen the Jedi, but would prevent problems like in Anakin's case from even happening in the first place. If something was wrong, the individual would be able to go to the Jedi Masters without the fear of being cast out. It would strengthen the Jedi Order in numerous ways. Maybe even open them up to new possibilities in the Force. Perhaps it would be a stepping stone to true balance in the Force.
The thing with Palpatine siphoning Padme's life force is that most Force techniques require the user to know the target is there and be able to see or sense them. Padme's Force presence would have needed to be considerable for Palpatine to pull that stunt from such a distance.
Here is kind of an interesting idea for a "What If" video. What if during the fight with Maul on Naboo Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon Jinn switched places where Obi-Wan died as Qui-Gon watched helplessly just as Obi-Wan had in cannon, then Qui-Gon trained Anakin. I have been going through and watching all of your Star Wars "What If" videos, I try to leave a comment on each when I have some constructive criticism to offer.
Here's a good what if story for you. What if Ahsoka didn't leave the Jedi counsel to join the Rebels team, and if she stayed to watch Anakin Skywalker and Padme raise his children together?

Y’all know how like on Disney+ for marvel they have “What If” story’s? What if they used TH-camrs who do what if story’s like Mr.Patrol and SWT and collab them with Disney’s animation team and made “Star Wars Story’s What If” I think that’s a million dollar idea if I do say so myself

What if master yoda and master Qui-gon Jinn gave asoka tano a secret mission that only the three of them knew about. A mission that could take ten years or more to complete if it's is possible complete it at all. Only then can asoka tano return to the jedi order if she chose to. Any story about Obi-Wan and Sateen has to be a crossover, depending on your point of view. Ewan McGregor filmed Moulin Rouge just before Phantom Menace. His character fell in love with a woman named Sateen (Nicole Kidman). They were star-crossed lovers, with Sateen basically dieing in Christian's (McGregor) arms. Additionally, both movies were filmed at the same studio, and in the case of the Jedi Council room, on the same stage as the Elephant Love room. Excellent story, especially being your first of this series.

Not a bad first what if and thankful things worked out very well. Not surprised a series never happened, but I don't think one with Kenobi need to happen since he is already very happy with Satine and I can see them having children and see if be able to protect Mandiore without too many issues. Thought of one more what if scenario that could go two ways. One is what if Luke Skywalker saved Oola from Jabba the Hut's pet in Return of the Jedi and fell in love with her. Or maybe somehow before the events of Return of the Jedi and before Oola going on a spy mission to Jabba's palace, Luke somehow gets a chance to meet Oola early on and falls for her. Not sure how their relationship/connection would work, also I think it would be nice for Oola to have a chance for a bigger role then sort of being wasted from being killed by Jabba. You may most likely have to do research on this little know character, might even check out some fanfictions with Oola in it. If this does not seem possibly to make either scenario happen, I understand. It would still be an interesting challenge.

It's been a while since I wrote this one but there's a point where I tied that end off. I can't remember if it was because Kenobi established an actual military for Mandalore for protection or not
I do not think that a gray jedi order would be formed. What I think that would happen is that anakin would begin to do research in the jedi orders archives. Research on the roots of the jedi order. Which is the ancient jedii order that predates the sith and jedi orders respectively in this way anakin will bring balance to the force by rebuilding the ancient Jedii order in the modern star wars era. Qui gon still dies but; he becomes a force ghost, convinces Mace and Yoda that Anakin IS the Chosen One, Poo THUN Shi Ti and Mace Windu take Obi-Wan for a year apiece to make him ready to train Anakin. Obi-Wan gets corrupted by dooku and keeps his marriage and child with satine secret. How much?

That said.. i am sorry, but to me, you butchered a lot of characters and the way you convey the information does not speak to me at all. So, just finished, and I'd love to see more in depth stuff if you haven't made it already! Maybe a revamp somewhere down the line, I love this scenario, especially the acknowledgement that if obi-wan stayed on mandalore, the death watch would have Essentially become irrelevant. However, one thing I'd love to see in a full series for this would be Maul's appearance, perhaps with savage, if you're a fan of those two. He could really shake it up and give kenobi some stuff to do while anakin is out there being the chosen one!
Also, don't feel too bad about keeping a lot of these what if scenarios anakin-centric. Star wars is his story, after all. Writing from the star wars prequels without anakin as the main focus would be incredibly difficult and very speculative- the fact that you didn't in your first time around, indicates to me that you know what the series is about. You love to see it
Definitely from this video on out videos get more detail heavy, like the video coming out today. While I think I'd like to return to some of these older videos and update them in the future, I think the addition of Maul and Savage would be great!
Also, always a challenge to write around characters the series is based off of, but they're always the most fun!

I really liked this theory and believe that Anakin would too leave the rider if Kenobi did as well but I think that Palpetine would have sent assassins after padme to provoke him and also Kenobi cause they were technically separated but had each others backs.
I do believe that Kenobi and Satine would have kids together though cause even if he doesn’t show it he does like them.
I really like your video. The only thing bugging me is you saying at 19:40, that the protestant/catholic split went on without violence. It was really bloody and laid the groundwork for centuries of war and destruction in Europe.

What if the Jedi Temple withstood Order 66?

I think most people can agree that it wasn't the attachment itself that drove Anakin to the Dark Side. It was the fact that he had to hide it which made him vulnerable to manipulation when he thought he could trust Palpatine. If you look into Star Wars history back in the time of Reven, Reven believed that in the same way negative emotions strengthen the Sith, positive emotions like love can strengthen a Jedi. This would definitely make sense, and it would not only strengthen the Jedi, but would prevent problems like in Anakin's case from even happening in the first place. If something was wrong, the individual would be able to go to the Jedi Masters without the fear of being cast out. It would strengthen the Jedi Order in numerous ways. Maybe even open them up to new possibilities in the Force. Perhaps it would be a stepping stone to true balance in the Force.

The thing with Palpatine siphoning Padme's life force is that most Force techniques require the user to know the target is there and be able to see or sense them. Padme's Force presence would have needed to be considerable for Palpatine to pull that stunt from such a distance.

Here is kind of an interesting idea for a "What If" video. What if during the fight with Maul on Naboo Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon Jinn switched places where Obi-Wan died as Qui-Gon watched helplessly just as Obi-Wan had in cannon, then Qui-Gon trained Anakin. What if master yoda and master Qui-gon Jinn gave asoka tano a secret mission that only the three of them knew about. A mission that could take ten years or more to complete if it's is possible complete it at all. Only then can asoka tano return to the jedi order if she chose to. Any story about Obi-Wan and Sateen has to be a crossover, depending on your point of view. Ewan McGregor filmed Moulin Rouge just before Phantom Menace. His character fell in love with a woman named Sateen (Nicole Kidman). They were star-crossed lovers, with Sateen basically dieing in Christian's (McGregor) arms. Additionally, both movies were filmed at the same studio, and in the case of the Jedi Council room, on the same stage as the Elephant Love room. Excellent story, especially being your first of this series.

Not a bad first what if and thankful things worked out very well. Not surprised a series never happened, but I don't think one with Kenobi need to happen since he is already very happy with Satine and I can see them having children and see if be able to protect Mandiore without too many issues.
Thought of one more what if scenario that could go two ways. One is what if Luke Skywalker saved Oola from Jabba the Hut's pet in Return of the Jedi and fell in love with her. Or maybe somehow before the events of Return of the Jedi and before Oola going on a spy mission to Jabba's palace, Luke somehow gets a chance to meet Oola early on and falls for her. Not sure how their relationship/connection would work, also I think it would be nice for Oola to have a chance for a bigger role then sort of being wasted from being killed by Jabba. You may most likely have to do research on this little know character, might even check out some fanfictions with Oola in it. If this does not seem possibly to make either scenario happen, I understand. It would still be an interesting challenge.

I do not think that a gray jedi order would be formed. What I think that would happen is that anakin would begin to do research in the jedi orders archives. Research on the roots of the jedi order. Which is the ancient jedii order that predates the sith and jedi orders respectively in this way anakin will bring balance to the force by rebuilding the ancient Jedii order in the modern star wars era.
