To answer some of your questions on the wardrobe and Ed’s behavior: Basically the idea of the magic in the wardrobe is it only becomes a portal when you’re not looking for it. That’s why it didn’t work when they checked it the first time Lucy came back saying Narnia was in there. Then when her and Ed went, Ed still didn’t believe and she didn’t know he was behind her, so he wasn’t looking for it either; it really opened for him, not her. Then the last time with all 4, they were all were just looking for a place to hide like Lucy the first time. There’s a post-credits scene where Lucy goes back into the room in the middle of the night and the Professor is there and tells her he already tried and mentioned this same theory. As for Ed snitching to the witch, they didn’t make it clear in the movie but in the books I feel like I remember there being a line to imply that the Turkish delight she conjured for him to eat was spelled to kind of amplify his cravings for it, to the point of doing anything at the promise of more; in his case, betray his family. Then after the witch shows her true colors, his compassion for others starts to unfortunately backfire because every additional time he gave her information, in his mind he was scared and trying to give her what she wanted to spare Tumnus and Fox’s lives. But clearly him being a child and underestimating her malevolence worked against him.
Omg thank you so much for this information because it makes so much sense!! I didn’t think about any of this ESPECIALLY not that the delights could’ve been charmed!! also, love your account pic!! Miss Ororo is my queen!!
no implication, that crap was straight up poison to the mind. the book stated that if allowed to, he would've litterally gone on eating it to the point of being so sick he'd unalive.
They really don't make movies like this anymore. Like, The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe had STAKES! Defeating a witch, finding your Judas brother, keeping your remaining siblings safe...THAT'S SOME HEAVY SHIT! As a child and an adult, I consider this film the ultimate adventure movie.
I love how the film establishes the impact of the war on the siblings and takes a moment to show the evacuation program of children under 14 and how mothers had to act brave when sending their children off to strangers in the countryside, while also dealing with their husbands away at war as well as staying behind to support the war effort and ensuring there’s a home for everyone to return to… the book just has one sentence saying they were evacuated because of the blitz as when it came out no more explanation was needed
Wow this is one moment where I feel that a movie adaptation did a situation justice because you definitely feel the impact and sacrifice through the scene! It was so powerful just-wow!
@@wwhn absolutely, it also helps understand the relationship dynamics between the siblings too, such as the parentification of Peter and Susan and how Edmund’s insecurities make him lash out while Lucy looks for the silver lining in any situation
Aslan represents Jesus, and the 4 children represent the descendants of Adam and Eve The Professor was the main character of the 6th book released (it's a 7 part book series), and the 6th book is an origin story of Narnia, and the professor was actually there when Narnia was formed and met both the witch and Aslan
They should definitely make a movie about the professor being there at the start of Narnia that would be so cool!! And I thought Aslan was Jesus that makes so much sense!!
New to the channel! To answer a few of the questions I think you had… and adding a couple thoughts… 🙈 1. The professor knew about Narnia because HE went there as a little boy! He was actually there for Narnia’s creation, when Aslan sang it into existence. Since time works differently there, only the Professor’s lifetime has passed in our world, but centuries have passed in Narnia. 2. The Narnia books ARE heavily based on Christian themes. Like you mentioned, Aslan dies for Edmund’s transgressions, like Jesus died for our sins. He rose again like Jesus rose again. Once a king or queen of Narnia, always a king or queen; once saved, always saved. 3. Even though it is allegory at times, the whole premise of this series is basically, “What if our world isn’t the only world that God has made?” 4. Aslan IS Jesus. In the third movie AND the corresponding book, Aslan tells the children as they’re going back to our world, “In your world, I have another name. You must learn to know me by it. That is why you were brought to Narnia: that by knowing me here for a little, you may know me better there.” 5. This movie has had a HUGE part of my heart ever since I was little. ♥️
omg thank you so much for this!! the clarity that this brought me is..wow! I honestly love the parallels but the one that sticks out the most is the, “in your world I am known by another name…” for the writer to create an entire world like this based off the christian religion is astonishing because it’s so very subtle yet done beautifully!! Thank you so so much for this again!!
the wardrobe is magical because it's made from a narnian tree! When Professor Kirke was a boy he got to see the creation of narnia (and a bunch of other stuff happened) and he came back with the seed of a tree. He planted that tree and many years later, it was stuck by lightning, I think. So he cut down the tree and made a wardrobe of it. Now, Professor Kirke probably knew it had *some* magic, but he probably didn't know it could be a portal to Narnia.
@@AstaGruwier-vi5ht I think he still had the seeds from the apple he was meant to give to his mom? though it's been a while since I read the book so the details are fuzzy
I suspect that it's both the rings, and the tree's origin. As the rue grew it absorbed the magical properties of the rings and it's wood led to Narnia because, well, it came from Narnia.@@AstaGruwier-vi5ht
This movie is so special to me 😭 i can watch it a million times (and i have) and it never gets old, there's a special charm and magic to it that makes me feel so much. And yes the music!! So glad you reacted to it and the second movie!
His reaction to the first Mr. Tumnus scene was hilarious. “If you don’t punch that thing in the face” 😂 As a kid I didn’t get how creepy that scene was, but rewatching it as an adult it’s kind of uncomfortable. Great acting by James Mcavoy though.
Your movie reactions are iconic!!! You have the funniest comments, and you're so good at picking up things in the movies! Just wondered. You talked about in another video I belived that you where thinking of starting a patreon? if you do, will the movies like this be on there`😊 Thanks for a brilliant reaction as always!
you’re gonna make me tear up on this gloomy day 😭🥹 thank you!! And I’m not sure if this one will be up there but I will put the ones moving forward on there since I’ll be recording with my camera and it won’t be a lot of stopping and recording unless I figure out how to make it no as noticeable but thank you for asking 😭 I also have so many reaction footages save that I could possibly still add those as well! But it’s definitely coming soon!
The witch essentially groomed Edmund. He was living during a time of rationing (hence the sweets) and going through an age where he felt misunderstood and hated by his family. She took advantage of that, and his selfish immaturity and manipulated him. His arc of growing up and then he’s my favourite character in the second one 😊
That silence right before the very first clash between the armies in the battle sequence is and will always be one for the books! I love that this movie is literally a re-telling of the Bible and Jesus’s ultimate sacrifice for us. That is so DOPE!! Aslan does not represent Jesus Christ. Aslan is in fact Jesus Christ. He’s showing Himself as a Lion to Peter, Susan, Edmund and Lucy because He has His ways of doing things and He chose to do this for them. Edmund represents Judas’s betrayal. Turkish delight represents temptation and gluttony. Tumnus represents redemption. The White Witch represents Sin and lucifer. The four children represent Jesus’s 4 apostles. The stone table represents in fact, like you said, the cross.
Yayyyyyy I love narniaaaa so I’m so excited to see your reaction you should definitely react to the divergent trilogy after your done with the narnia series 🙌🙌🙌🩷🩷🩷🩷
Idk why, but I feel like you would really enjoy the BBC series Merlin; it has magic, dragons, and beautiful characters. Based on your videos and what I gather from your personality, I feel it's something you would just adore, lol
I’m definitely gonna look into that toNIGHT! I’ve never heard of it but thank you so much because you already know me so well 😭😭😭😭😭😭 now I’m excited to go check it out lol
@@wwhn giving you your 10s, particularly about Edmund and how he deserves a level of forgiveness. One thing the movie does leave it out is that those turkish delights were created to be extremely addictive, as well as the white witch lowkey feeding into his blatant resentment of his siblings, his older brother particularly, by "offering" him sole kingship of Narnia.
In terms of the king/queenship, it follows the model of Christianity. So Aslan is King of Narnia because he is an analogy for Jesus Christ, but the Pevensie children can also be kings and queens because they are descendants of Adam and Eve (so it follows Romans 8:16-17 that we are coheirs with Christ). Basically, we have an inheritance alongside Christ.
I think Aslan isn’t actually an allegory for Jesus Christ, he quite literally is Jesus. His form in Narnia is that of a lion, but it’s mentioned how he’s known in their world by another name.
I don't think it was answered by others in the comments here (and spoilers for the books) but, the reason why the Witch is after the kids is because she's not human. She's the last of a race of half-demon half-giant people from the red sun world of Charn. When she and her sister fought against each other in the last war of that world for the throne, she was seemingly defeated until she casted The Deplorable Word, an incantation that wiped out all living things in that world except the speaker, making her queen by default. She then takes an enchanted sleep in the hall of wax work images of her ancestors till a visitor from another world wakes her via enchanted bell in that hall. After countless years she was woken by the curious Digory Kirke (who would later be the professor). As he and his friend Polly Plummer escapes her, she was able to catch up to them in the Wood between the Worlds, then to 1990's London (bringing a piece of lamppost with her), and then to unformed world of Narnia, mistaking it for Charn. There they witnessed Aslan creating Narnia. The witch slips away and Aslan confronts Digory for what he had done. Aslan promises that the worst of the evils that the Witch brought to Narnia will fall on himself (his sacrifice) and Aslan makes sure that the country of Narnia will have a happy era before she returns again. He assigns Digory to find a silver apple in the far west and bring it back to plant a Tree of Protection. He fulfills this then Aslan gives Digory an apple to take home to his sick mother. He plants the apple core which grew into a tree (which seem still connected to the three in Narnia). When he was already a professor, the tree was blown down by a storm (which means the tree in Narnia died as well, allowing the witch to return and cover the country in winter for 100 years). He couldn't bear to have it chopped up as firewood, so he had part of the timber made into a wardrobe.
I’m very new to this channel, and I must admit I only watched your reaction to the end (I will watch the whole thing when I have time 😭) but I’m so glad you enjoyed it, Narnia is literally everything to me and it’s my favorite movie (I have a fanpage on Instagram 😅)! Your reaction to their coronation is completely valid, these movies are amazing. I hope you will be watching Prince Caspian and The Voyage of the Dawn Treader soon and enjoy those as well!
When Edmund eats Turkish Delight, he falls under the White Witch's enchantment. The enchantment makes him so desperate to eat more Turkish Delight that he is willing to betray his siblings to the White Witch. Turkish Delight symbolizes temptation and sin in The Chronicles of Narnia. When Edmund eats it, he becomes enchanted: he is so desperate to get more Turkish Delight that he is willing to betray his family.
Not sure if this has already been mentioned but in the books Edmund is essentially drugged by the White Witch because the Turkish delight is actually enchanted/laced, so she's essentially giving him magical heroin lol hence him desperately wanting more, which is kinda fucked up 😭 Also, the slap she gives him is real according to the actors. They discussed it before filming and he wanted it to look real which is why he looks pretty shell shocked afterwards 🫠 Also there's an idea I've seen tossed around that the griffins dropping the rocks on the witches army at the beginning of the battle was Peter & Edmunds idea, since they've seen how effective an air force can be from their experience of being bombed in WW2, although I can't remember if that's canon or not! Glad you enjoyed ❤️
since the story is christian inspired, when u asked what aslan was if the kids were "kings and queens" i think he is supposed to represent or straight up be god
Guys can we please get together and have our favorite reactor watch Billy Elliot! It’s literally my dream to see someone react to it and especially my fav WWHN!😭😭
Aslan is suppose to represent jesus. Because all 4 of them are sons and daughters of eve and adam their princes and princesses "your magesty" Aslan is apart and the higest king and ruler
Aslan ain’t shit. Basically aslan is supposed to be “god” in this analogy. And he makes them go through all types of suffering to show “commitment to faith” I absolutely hated him as a child.
during the air raids on London, second world war- children were evacuated from the capital including a very young and at the time Princess Elizabeth (Queen Elizabeth) and her younger sister Margaret.
Nearly all of this movie and a lot of the second film was shot in NZ (my country!!) because the director was from NZ but the third wasn’t because of different director. Which is cool having it as kinda fantasy world country with both middle earth (lord of the rings) and these movies fantasy worlds being filmed here!!! and also technically avatar as well I think especially number 2
@@wwhn honestly yeah if u enjoy these movies its worth visiting and seeing filming locations. I've been to a few from lotr and Narnia and it was pretty cool!!!
Im all for character development. But can't nobody make me like Edmond. The way he told sold his siblings out each time knowing they could be killed...he had so much hatred. Especially the way he did Lucy. I get his complicated relationship with his brother. But the levels he was willing to betray his siblings multiple times were just jaring
The turkish delights were enchanted to make him desire infinitely more, before that he was a child going through war and fear for his father with harsh older siblings acting like his parents. His character development is amazing and it especially shows in the second movie i can't imagine still disliking him after that one if you've seen it

To me it never gets old. And I’m so glad you even picked up the storytelling of their costumes! I’m also happy to see other Narnia fans here sharing fun facts about the books! They are written so beautifully. There’s so many great quotes that are heartwarming, funny, emotional and inspiring! ❤ And yes most definitely give the last two movies a try! The next two films aren’t completely canon to the books, but the themes are still there and I give them credit for creating it since they were difficult to adapt to screen.😊 Here’s my fun facts: Edmund is my favorite Pevensie sibling. His character development and depth is beautiful. In the books they actually earned their titles during their time of reign and Edmund was in charge of diplomacy and he was always wise, fair and compassionate. So they called him “The Just” 🤍 There are neighboring countries in Narnia and we get to see them interact with foreign royals as well! 👑 Queen Lucy and Queen Susan had many marriage proposals too as it describes that they grew up beautifully with flowing long hair. 👸✨ They left before marrying anybody tho cuz it would’ve been awkward leaving your man and kids behind 😭 And my favorite color is pink! 🤣🩷 I’m gonna watch your other vids cuz you’re reactions are not only hilarious but really insightful and it’s nice to see another person just appreciate the art of cinema! 🤌 I hope your channel continues to grow! ☺️🌟
Cant wait for you to see the next one! You may recognize a actor 😉 I am such a fan of the Narnia movies just because of the depth of the story and the world. Dont even get me started on the heavy full on battle scenes. Battles in these movies I just don't see as often anymore in other media.
The story Narnia's stories the witch and the lion is a story about Narnia's eternal fight against evil and deep friendship as well as great responsibility and loyalty to king Aslan. For the Narnia and for the king Aslan was the battle cry for the Aslan, the battle cry of his valiant warriors until death for the Narnia and for Aslan!!! ⚔️⚔️⚔️🦁🦁🦁 Are you with me? Until the death!!!
7:41 If you read "The Magicians Nephew" which was originally the 6th book of the series (they've changed it to the 1st now but that really spoils the surprise) you will find out about the professor.
the women stayed behind in the citys to run the factorys, fixing planes and vehicles, basically filling any and all jobs and roles that the men had to leave behind to go and fight in the war, so every brit man and woman (except for children irl) had to step up and do their part for us to win the war, and this movie to me shows that even the children had their own battles to fight being away from their families and homes, we put everything on the line really and it breaks my heart that its still happening in the world now
@@marshallb_JesusSaves Always love and I love that you are being the beacon of light for many. I send you so much love and I pray for nothing but an abundance of love, peace and blessings.
5:20 The beginning of the movie is set in London (Finchley where the children are from is in the Northeast part of London) during WW2 when Germany was bombing London. The opening scene is based on the first sentence of the book. In WW2 they sent children out to the safety of rural areas.
Aw, once the enchantment stopped affecting Edmund, he was trying to save Mr Tumnus and Mr Fox by telling the White Witch more information - he thought he could try to protect them. Of course, the White Witch is pure evil and there is no bargaining with that.
I loooove your videos! Hilarious, adorable, relatable and emotional 💓Hopefully you finish and enjoy this Narnia Trilogy if and when you want to! Keep doin ya thaaaang cause you're the best!☺🥰

Turkish Delight symbolizes temptation and sin in The Chronicles of Narnia. When Edmund eats it, he becomes enchanted: he is so desperate to get more Turkish Delight that he is willing to betray his family.
This was so goooood! ❤️ The next movie is my favourite of the 3 by far!
28:52 SIR NOOOOOO 🤣😭🖐🏾
😂😂😂😂 listennnnnn
I love Narnia my favorite childhood movie. I really love your reaction to this movie.
These movies are a huge highlight of my childhood! On top of that, I made a fan-film on my channel!
since the story is christian inspired, when u asked what aslan was if the kids were "kings and queens" i think he is supposed to represent or straight up be god
i just watched the rest and u said he was supposed to be jesus and i think that makes more sense haha
but yes in general i think he is a higher being
Okay because I was definitely trying to piece things together. Lol but I wonder what the four children are suppose to represent!
@@wwhn I think they represent all daughters of Eve and sons of Adam because Jesus died for everyone’s sins if that makes sense?
@@lovitajunoand the queen represents satan/lucifer I think hence the all traitors belonging to her
Yes yes yes!!!
You would love "One Day" on Netflix
Fauns and satyrs are part human part goat
Why you set tht bar up there like tht... No one else will ever be able to reach it now...keep raising your bar!!
🥹🫶🏾🤍 Thank youuu
@@wwhn and yes...Edmond is worrisome af
Sorry if you already mentioned knowing this, but Greta Gerwig is developing a Chronicles of Narnia series for Netflix 👀 It’s official
Guys can we please get together and have our favorite reactor watch Billy Elliot! It’s literally my dream to see someone react to it and especially my fav WWHN!😭😭
❄️ Tilda Swinton did demolish this role though 🥶
They were from London during ww2 men were at war women stayed home to work kids were sent to villages where they were safer
Never eat the food in a mysterious place! 🙅♀️ Enchantments aren’t worth the risk!
Going to subscribe anyways and hope you react to those one day
Pls watch The second and the third narnia movie ♥️🙏🏻
I watched the second today ☺️☺️
Have you watched Lord of the Rings trilogy? Or the Hobbit trilogy?
Would love to watch those with you
Hi, can you watch freak show 2017? Its a cute story❤
Aslan is suppose to represent jesus. Because all 4 of them are sons and daughters of eve and adam their princes and princesses "your magesty" Aslan is apart and the higest king and ruler
And dying in the place of a traitor/sinner and being resurrected too
Aslan ain’t shit. Basically aslan is supposed to be “god” in this analogy. And he makes them go through all types of suffering to show “commitment to faith” I absolutely hated him as a child.
Lol when I tell you I’ve never laugh so hard. The way you came STRAIGHT for Aslans neck 😂😂
@@wwhn He couldnt just eat her or melt the snow before these kids came like sir if you're all that powerful do something!
@stonegreen972 That’s the part that had me stuck like if you could do all of this…why were the kids needed? 😂
during the air raids on London, second world war- children were evacuated from the capital including a very young and at the time Princess Elizabeth (Queen Elizabeth) and her younger sister Margaret.
yes aslan represent Jesus
Nearly all of this movie and a lot of the second film was shot in NZ (my country!!) because the director was from NZ but the third wasn’t because of different director. Which is cool having it as kinda fantasy world country with both middle earth (lord of the rings) and these movies fantasy worlds being filmed here!!! and also technically avatar as well I think especially number 2
So what you’re telling me is I gotta come visit soon? Got it got it lol
His character development is amazing and it especially shows in the second movie i can't imagine still disliking him after that one if you've seen it
The fact that Disney didn't decide to revive their animated musical era earlier with this will always have me salty.
23:36 I can’t hear Mr. Fox without hearing Prince Charming from Shrek 2 😂 Rupert Everett voiced both characters 🦊🤴
I’m new to the channel! I’m a huge Narnia fan and watch every single reaction video to the movies here lol I have to say your reaction was my favorite! I cry every. single. time watching it. The next two films aren’t completely canon to the books, but the themes are still there and I give them credit for creating it since they were difficult to adapt to screen.😊
Here’s my fun facts: Edmund is my favorite Pevensie sibling. ☺️🌟
Stop you keep having me get emotional with you and I watched these movies over and over to this day and you made me cry 😂😂😂
You’re my absolute favorite creator, you have such great things on the horizon with WWHN ❤️ excited to see your channel continue to grow
Cant wait for you to see the next one! You may recognize a actor 😉
I am such a fan of the Narnia movies just because of the depth of the story and the world.
⚔️⚔️⚔️🦁🦁🦁
Are you with me? Until the death!!!
7:41 If you read "The Magicians Nephew" which was originally the 6th book of the series (they've changed it to the 1st now but that really spoils the surprise) you will find out about the professor.
In this story yes Aslan represents Jesus’s death and resurrection and Edmonds betrayals represent the Betrayal of Jesus by Judas…
Ok if you want a new show PLEASE watch 911 Lone Star. It has THE greatest gay couple I have ever seen ever.
22:55: At this point, if she unalives Edmund… 🤷♀️
39:28: 😱😱😱
37:21 You got it. C S Lewis was a Christian and wrote the book as a parallel to the Christian message in the form of a children's fantasy.
why am I cracking up at everything you saying while I'm at work?? loool
the women stayed behind in the citys to run the factorys, fixing planes and vehicles, basically filling any and all jobs and roles that the men had to leave behind to go and fight in the war, so every brit man and woman (except for children irl) had to step up and do their part for us to win the war, and this movie to me shows that even the children had their own battles to fight being away from their families and homes, we put everything on the line really and it breaks my heart that its still happening in the world now
Can you plz react to Thai bls 🙏🥹
You deserve more views. 😭
Jesus loves you friend. Come to him, he accepts you as you are. ✝️❤️✝️❤️✝️❤️✝️
He stands beside me daily. There’s no need for me to go to him as I was born at his feet and that’s where I’ll stay until I am called home.

Thank you so much for being hereeee😭😭
@@wwhn you are welcome!!! Keep Slaying🥰
26:16 So many big actors in this 😂 Father Christmas is Jeor Mormont from GOT!
I loooove your videos! Hilarious, adorable, relatable and emotional 💓Hopefully you finish and enjoy this Narnia Trilogy if and when you want to! Keep doin ya thaaaang cause you're the best!☺🥰
