- Fears to Fathom: Norwood Hitchhike walkthroug gameplay. In the second episode of Fears to Fathom you play as Holly Gardner, a 19 year old who was driving back home from a gaming convention, as the traffic got horrible she decided to take the long way to avoid the traffic which leads to an unplanned trip to a motel. Little did she know what was going down in the Norwood Valley. She survived as she made the right choices.
Fears to Fathom is an episodic psychological horror game where each episode unveils a short story narrated by the ones who survived.

this is such an interesting idea. it's so simple. instead of jumpy monster horrors games, it's a horror game based on true events that can occur to any of us. It's really weird seeing common things put as a horror video game. but it's very well excuted
exactly. as fun as some games like alien isolation or outlast can be , this can be equally as scary cause of that sole factor. i was creeped out literally because this could happen to anyone , and isn’t about some crazy monster chasing you around or something
My friend and I where driving at 2am in a rural area and we saw a young woman in a white nightgown in the middle of a blizzard. She was standing right next to the road in front of a guard rail. My friend says...should we pick her up? Na...she would probably kill us.

Honestly I have no idea why he would open the door at the end with that dude knocking on the door like that 🤦♂️. Thank God the girl whose story this was based off of is alive to still tell the tale. Moral of this story, listen to your parents, they’re not trying to destroy your fun they’re trying to make sure you make it home safe and alive…

You go up to some random dude in a gas station and ask him about a monster, the randomly ask him where he's goin. Then he finds you on the side of the road in the middle of nowhere and gives you a ride. You refuse to tell him your name or where you're going or why you're there. Almost asked him to carry your luggage and you think Jason was the creepy one lol
Yeah, the pickup truck driver was the least creepy character in the game. The player character was as creepy as the rest of them. It's kind of a pity the graphics were so primitive because otherwise the game could have expressed a lot by character models' body language, facial expressions, and such. Of course voice acting would have helped as well.
I absolutely love this concept of a game having it be based on true stories, as someone who enjoys watching TH-camrs like Mr. Nightmare or Lazy Masquerade this is absolutely dope and can’t wait for the rest of the episodes to come out!

I’ve always loved horror video games like outlast, resident evil, soma but this concept takes a whole other turn! It glimpses into the horrors we could potentially and realistically face, which makes it all the while more scarier.

If this was a real life situation he would be dead by now. It was a Common sense knowledge reaction and he Failed miserably in a safety precautions situation. Games like this show how some people Curiosity can be deadly for them.

Mainly the unease of the situation was the scary part about this game, which I really appreciate. Usually these sorts of games throw a lot of cheap jump scares.

I thought the same and was checking the comments to see if anyone else noticed. That was sketchy af and then her car just happens to malfunction and break down right after she leaves the station. I would’ve just gone back... in certain places there’s a reason why people don’t take shortcuts
That was very obvious that the van was sus. If that happens in real life, at least ask the gas station to review camera footage. Most gas stations have cameras.
It would be cool to see a horror game mechanic where you can actually reply to messages from people, and based on what you say determines how the game will play out

this is a indie game so i can understand why we can only receive texts, its too much work and coding to make the text mechanic not weird, bad or anything like that.
Unless it’s a very narrow range of pre-programmed response options, that would require some serious AI.
I don’t blame them for not adding that. That’s a lot of work

Really loved the play through. Weirdly enough my favorite part is the music that plays when you lead Joe (was that his name? The front desk guy) to the supposed coffee machine. Overall amazing game, literally sucks to wait for the rest of them to come out haha

Since we already have a lot of horror games and racing games, I do wish PlayStations and Xboxes, as well as PC games could make a JUST CHILL AND DRIVE game, for fun, for relaxing, TO MAKE IT MORE FUN, THEY WILL PICK CITY AND COUNTRYSIDE ROADS from EACH AND EVERY COUNTRIES, all you'll have on is your V.R and your controller or wheel like controller, HOW YOU DRIVE IT AS REALISTIC AS GTA. The car's radio station and music changes based on each countries ACCURATELY. Then the graphics are VERY HIGH QUALITY REALISTIC.
Or you could just go for a drive/ travel in real life. . Much more realistic
