Aloha City Ukes Ukulele makers switched over from friction to Guitar Geared Tuners due to how accurate they are. GraphTech took that idea a step further.

Aloha City Ukes You're not really a Friction Tuner fan, but more of a Geared Tuner fan. Guitar Tuners are super light weight due to their construction.

Friction Tuners are rather bulky, but Geared Tuners aren't.

Is the hole spacing for mounting the same as Grovers? Thanks!

Hi Pete, you would need to make the holes slightly larger to accomodate the GraphTechs.

Aloha City Ukes you mean ream the headstock for the tuner? Thank you! But I was asking about the mounting screw locations. Thanks again!

@@cf7leaves I think Guitar Tuners might be easier.

Pete, After mounting these tuners, an exposed hole will be visible at the top. Bottom hole is covered and does not show. Of course this will vary as to what kind of tuner was removed. I replaced Grover geared tuners.

Will these work on Cordoba Ukes? I've heard headstocks are thinner and they don't fit well.

Yes, they will work just fine on a Cordoba uke.
