Worked perfectly for my Lenovo T440s! Thank you! The strange thing was that I had worked with the laptop only one hour ago. When pressing the power button, the laptop beeped continuously. So, I had to do a hard power-off. Afterwards, the laptop reacted neither when plugging in the cable nor when pressing the power button. You trick saved my evening!
Instead of going to the service centre ,I followed your instructions and Thanks to you my laptop is back working.Thank you so much.

Hey Jay, this was a life saver for me! I bought thinkpad t430 for some SEO work and I have left it in a cupboard for a few months. I tried to power it on yesterday and not dice. The fingerprint reader scanning my prints, but kept saying they were incorrect. This was because it was not able to check with the hard disk as it was not running. On the t430 the memory slot also gives access to the BIOS battery and socket. Pulling that socket for a 20 seconds and reconnecting got me up and running again. Thanks so much!

Thanks for the sharing ... I had the same problem with the T450s and I think that the problem is from the inner battery, so when you disconnect...That must work when you restart.
This worked PERFECTLY with my x250, which I bought cheap because it was labeled "liquid damage." Nope...no damage at all. Thanks bro

Thanks a lot. This worked for me. Was going to send it in for warranty repair, but this saved me a lot of downtime, as repair shop was closed until Monday. Won't miss any work.
wutdafuuh not a problem but if it does happen again I would suggest getting the motherboard replaced. Should only take 1 hour max if he or she knows what they are doing. So your down time should be minimal
That would be unfortunate, as I just got this laptop Jan of this year.
I have fixed so many of that model it's sad
there is a bios update for T450 and T450s, check out my other video. i have a link to the iso etc. the update will fix the battery issue

Hey Jay, Thanks for this video. It fixed my problem. In my case battery got drained out probably in night time and it did not come up in morning. I tried Lenovo helpdesk, and we went with few usual steps like
1)removing battery and then Keeping the power button pressed for 30s to drain out battery and then trying to boot up. It did not work.
2) Then we repeated above step and as well did the reset. It failed too.
It was concluded that motherboard needs to be replaced. Just as last resort I tried your step on my own and viola... it worked.

Your welcome but if it does happen again I would suggest a motherboard replacement. Lenovo is pretty good and just replacing it and a pro would take 45 mins max. I have replaced so many of them.

WOW. Just went through this. Took me over an hour(I'm very methodical....) It worked!! I was blown away. The power cam right back on.
A tip: You talk a little too fast, and your edits are kind of rough. You actually do some edits in the middle of your sentence. Rewatch your video, it's hard to tell what you are talking about when you are inside the laptop. I had to rewatch several times.

I tried almost everything! The emergency button, removed the Ram, hardware and the internal battery but with no luck. My laptop won’t switch on. The switch button flashes 3 times and then it stops. Any help is much appreciated.

I have the same one for a long time I will like to do a hard reset how can I do that I got this lapto from a yard sale but it’s lock with a password can you help me with that.
Do you have a tutorial on what you can do if your power button is on but showing the black screen no display and nothing will make it work, no caps or number lock key will light up and ive taken apart the battery and done several of the things its saying on some other videos but nothing so far is working. Should i try buying a new ram or new battery?
