With these steps, you can easily avoid getting rejected by mortgage lenders and avoid unnecessary delays in what is a very tedious, long process.

This was extremely informative. Thank you! I have a question: If you shouldn't have direct debits from your main account, what account do you recommend?
Beverley Meya no worries hun. Don’t think you heard it properly hun Or maybe I wasn’t so clear... I said your main account SHOULD have normal things such as your direct debits, bills shopping, ensure every activity can be openly explained.
The other advice was to Avoid opening new finance applications/ new direct debits within at least 10 months prior to beginning the mortgage process because it will limit how much the bank can lend you.

Thank you so much for this video! Does it matter if you have multiple saving accounts? Or If the help to buy or life time Isa is in a different bank provider than your main account that your income goes into?
No worries hun. I don’t know much about LISA or help to buy Cz I didn’t use neither but as long as you have proof of how you saved the money you’ll be ok.

I would say main account to avoid any complications or suspicions the vendors may have. But I don’t think it matters that much. No worries hun x
When you say avoid direct debit does that include student loan or “graduate tax” as it’s also called
No hun I mean like phones, cars or any other finance applications as they all require a hard search which will impact on your credit score and your balance after bills. These things affect how much the bank can lend you x
Hi there, very inspirational journey! I wanted to ask regarding the savings in two separate accounts. My main account (natwest) has my monthly salary and outgoings i.e direct debits. However, my savings is in a different banking society (Metro). Would this cause any concern?!
