This is by far the best interpretation of this piece that I've ever heard. Your phrasing is so fluid. Your technique is flawless. This piece is not easy, and yet your playing looks effortless.
This is amazing. You play very well - and this is difficult music! Playing to the room is an art that you seem to have learned: Bravo! How do you memorize such challenging charts? BTW, my commendation to the organ tuning crew. It sounded magnificent!
i can't believe what's happening here ... i mean, either i'm dreaming and none of this is real, or beautiful angels of god (musing daughters of Apollon) do exist and this unbelievably talented and lovely lady is one of them ... either way, this powerful performance is unearthly and that's all i can understand right now!
The part at 6:34, like other sections in some of Messiaen's organ works, sounds devilish. Was that intentional or just a byproduct of his harmonic richness? I thought he was trying to contrast good vs. evil in his music, but I wasn't sure where that was explicit? Any thoughts?
Monica, here's another organ, considered the world's largest outdoor organ, to perhaps add to your wish list: th-cam.com/video/7XYdU9qJovQ/w-d-xo.html ; the Amphitheater around the organ chamber was demolished and rebuilt between 9/16 and 6/17, the pipes had just been retuned and the console rebuilt and delivered just in time for the 2017 season. With a significant population of music students during the season, the Massey deserves to be played far more than it is. The youtube author, Mark Fischer, was the organ rebuilder; I believe his family has been the caretaker of this instrument for decades.
Dear Monica; Not unlike a champagne bubble, there's only one direction you can go, namely, straight to the top! But if I may suggest something, listen the Ethel Smith play Tico Tico. Have a little fun with your audiance and don't be too caught up with these post-modern harmonic systems that are (in my opinion) enough to strip the skin the bone. Don't get me wrong, I like all this mystical shi_, but once you've heard it three times... enough already. Love and have a ball ! Sincerely.

Excellent! Great to see a new generation play at this level. Very wise to play from memory. Brava! Best regards Willem Tanke
Wow! She plays it by heart! ❤
Bravo. I look forward to hearing you play on June 4 here in Harrisburg, Pa., at Market Square Presbyterian Church!
Magnificent Performance, I listened to your BWV 532 and it was the best Performance I‘ ve ever founded . Same for this enormous Messiaen.

NICE!
I don't think Monica can get out much.
WOW!
Monica, is there any way we can get you out here to the SoCal area and you try out to be a church organist for one of the churches here in Pasadena?
Oh! They have pipe organs in Pasadena? I thought all the churches in that area did their band crap.
@@p.e.gottrocks4528 thank god LA is hella far away

I now have Final Cut Pro X. I has a lot a new things, and it's a little complex. This new software, is awesome.
Fantastic playing, Monica.
you deserve a Cavaillé-Coll!
> Fisk-Rosales Organ
sounds like it :(
What kind of video software was used, to create this video?
Final Cut Pro X
did you know where can find the score of this ?
Look on imslp.org, search the name of the piece
@@aaronthomas7163 Messiaen isn't public domain. His music won't be on IMSLP.
@@karlrovey its there
@@aaronthomas7163 It may be there, but that doesn't make it legal. His work is not public domain in the US at the very least.
@@aaronthomas7163 seriously? At what point in time was Le Livre du Saint Sacrement ever on IMSLP?
