Hi Cori! Love the video. I always watch your & Angie's reviews of machines because I get the BEST information from you two & the honest evaluation of the products is amazing. So, I have a request. Can you do a comparison video of the new We Create Vista vs. Glowforge Aura vs. XTool M1? My husband is SUPER interested in getting a laser & becoming the "laser guy" to make things to add to what I already make in my small craft business. However, the information on these laser is overwhelming! We had almost decided on the Aura when the We Create Vista came out. The one thing I loved about the M1 was that rotary optiom as tumblers & other drinkware are my thing & also what my husband like best about what I make. What we didn't like about the M1 was the cost of all the additional items we would want AND the fact that you noted about having to make more test cuts with the M1 than the Aura. The Vista seems to be a combo of these 2 other lasers which I personally find intriguing. However, it's been noted that the Vista probably isn't the best laser to get if you have a craft business & want to make & sell items made with a laser. I'm SO confused!!
Hi Cori, another fantastic video, thank you. Do you NEED the rotary tool in order to engrave a tumbler or mug or is there a workaround for that. Will you be doing a video soon showing it in action. I really want a laser but being in Canada I need to add around 40% to the cost, so this one definitely is still reasonable.
I think you need the rotary tool! It rotates the tumbler (or whatever) as it engraves so that the height of the engraving is always the same. If you just put the tumbler in there and tried to engrave a design, the amount of power hitting the design at the closest part of the tumbler to the laser would be different than the amount of power hitting it as it slopes away. So the top part would look good but as you get farther down each side, you'd probably end up with a less-deep engraving so the whole thing would be uneven. I really hope that makes sense-I need to show that in a video! Great idea. And yes! I have plans to use this laser more but I will say it really was good when it was cutting the materials I tested and I had no issues. I have some videos of it in action on my phone but I had literally lost my phone while I was editing the video (FAIL). Found my phone, so I'd be happy to email you a live action video if you'd like! Shoot me an email at hello@heyletsmakestuff.com :)
does this vista laser do good for cutting leather patches, i decorate hats and im very very new to all this and ive never owned a laser , this is the first review ive seen , also i decorate on aluminum tumblers . How about the consumables , what are the extra costs to keep running the machine ? TY
I have not because it's not particularly easy with a diode laser. Because of the color of the laser, engraving clear and white can be difficult and I haven't attempted it yet. But there are some videos out there showing different methods that should work similarly on any diode laser: th-cam.com/video/jXvuLdXclrM/w-d-xo.html
I am considering ordering this laser, I am mainly interested in doing full wrap 40oz tumblers, is this capable of engraving full wraps on 40oz tumblers?
Oh, gosh! That's such a hard decision. Both machines have great features. I saw the xTool F1 in action at Printing United and have to say, I was REALLY impressed. The WeCreat is so unique with the printing and flippable laser. I'd choose whichever is best for your space, budget, and crafts you plan to create!
Hi Cori. I enjoyed your video on the WeCreat Vista and am interested to know if you feel that this is better than the Glowforge Spark? I am wanting to use in my craft room for fun crafts to share with family and friends. Not a business.
I think the Glowforge is easier to use if you're a beginner because they really have everything dialed in when it comes to settings, but I think overall the Vista can do more :)

I’m actually planning to do a huge comparison of all my diode lasers soon!

How long did it take to cut the acrylic earrings?
Have you engraved ceramic (tiles) and/or glass I would love to see these.

It is! Get the rotary tool add on. It will work similarly to my video here: th-cam.com/video/nHH_H9PDUp4/w-d-xo.html
Hi. Trying to decide between stool F1 or we create vista. Do you have any suggestion? I am a beginner in laser.

Can you use your own svg's?
Absolutely!
What package do you need for the 2W laser head?
You;d need the Vista 10W + IR Rotary Pack. The IR is the 2W laser head.
Does the 2W IR laser come in the $699 package?
Nope, it's an extra add-on!
@@HeyLetsMakeStuff do you knw what package

Does this cut 1/4 inch birch wood
I haven't tried yet, but it does cut wood. You would have to adjust the settings for the thicker wood and perhaps do more passes, but it should!
Xtool is better
I do enjoy my xTool, too!
