- Power system grounding is a very important topic. There are different types of earthing for AC power network. Here our discussion is limited to earthing of a delta system by grounding transformer or earthing transformer. But to create an earth path why zigzag winding is used in earthing transformer? Why a simple star winding not used? Reason is nothing, but to provide zero reactance path for earthfault current which is not possible if we use a star winding.
Very good explanation. Keep it up the good work. Appreciated 👏 👏 👏

Loved this explaination
Thanks, excellent video!
Great video. Never heard of this concept before. Plz make more videos like this...🔥🔥
Thanks.
Wonderful video
Very precisely and clearly explained. Everybody can understand.
very good explanation sir. My all doubts about the earthing transformer are resolved now.
Thanks for your time.
Clear and precise explanation....must be helpful....
Very nice explanantion sir can u make a video on motor thermal overload of ht motor.. Describing hot and cold curve and calculation of time constant and temp rise
Sir please explain about line differential relay
Ok , please wait for few months
Dear sir,
Thanks for your video. I have a doubt about the reactance and resistance property during the fault and normal conditions
This is a very clear description. Well done, sir. However, the screen resolution is very low. Could you please advise (email me?) the annotations you have used in the fault condition?
Thanks for your advise. Please subscribe to stay tuned.
Sir in first case, how come voltage increasing if earth to ground fault occurs from V/3to V
Reference of earthing shifted to faulty phase. This is the reason.
Earthing reactor reduce harmonics are not
Very good explaination. I also have a question that has been bothering me for while and I suspect you could help me think this through. Looking forward to further posts.
