I would like to get information about Dainese D2 Tex. How is it in the hot summer? For example, how is it in urban use at 30-35 degrees? If this model is going to be very hot, which models would you recommend?
Hi im 172-173cm tall 40-41 chest 80kg. What do you think the size for me? I had size 54 but it’s too big and long. I’m thinking to get size 50? Or size 52? Thank you
Hey I am 5’10” 135lbs relatively thin physique (long limbs, avg size torso) wear a size 38 dress suit jacket. Would you recommend I go with a EU 48 on this or EU 46?
I would suggest the 48 for you, since that matches best with your chest measurement which should be around 38, from your suit size. Dainese also typically tend to have long-ish arms compared to the torso, so this should suit you well. -Zack
If you only ride in dry weather, the Avro D2 would be ok for cool weather but not very cold weather. The Laguna Seca D-Dry is a bit better, as the waterproof liner blocks water as well as wind. Keep in mind that both jackets have a low collar, so you'll need to wear a separate neck gaiter or balaclava to keep your neck warm in cold weather. -DrewZilla
Thanks for reaching out! If you take a look at the product page for the Pro Armor Back Protector, in the description is shows a size 48 Men's Jacket would take the G1 one size. That is the option Dainese designed for it. If you have any other questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to our Gear Geeks at cs@revzilla.com or 877.792.9455. When you remove the thermal liner jacket, the jacket will still block some wind. However, you still want to wear the thermal liner for colder weather. -DrewZilla
Yes, the Avro D2 is a full textile jacket with zippered vents, while the Super Speed Tex is a textile jacket with big mesh panels. The Super Speed works better in hot weather, while the Avro D2 is better for mild and cold weather. -DrewZilla
Yes, the Manis G2 fits size 50. I also recommend the Pro Armor in type G2. -DrewZilla *www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/dainese-manis-d1-g-back-protector-insert *www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/dainese-pro-armor-g-back-protector

Will this be suitable for 80-90°F (~25-30°C) riding or would I be better off looking at a mesh jacket like the Crono or Air Frame D1? In my Alpinestars Bogota (v1) with all the liners out and vents open I get pretty hot at these sort of temperatures.

Definitely a great summer jacket, just don't forget to put your phone in a plastic bag if it's raining pretty hard
When compared to the SPR which one would you recommend? Also the weather is around 35c

If jacket not Waterproof - better for me its Alpinestars T-Jaws WP
Correct. If you want a waterproof jacket, then go with the T-Jaws WP. -DrewZilla
