25 years ago,Riverdance came on our tv screens with Micheal Flatley and Jean Butler, 2 Irish American dancers who changed irish dancing with their fast feet movement and Jean Butler danced to this tune,I remember her being so fresh faced and young and Micheal Flatley so fast and smooth on his feet.
I love listening to Riverdance sometimes. My ancestors come from Ireland and my family on both sides try to keep in touch with our Irish roots, which means passing down certain names (my middle name was my grandmother’s and great aunts’ last name, which my grandmother passed down as a middle name to my mother and aunt, which my mother passed down as a middle name to me), giving me an Irish name, Irish decor around the house, Irish jewelry, Irish sayings and prayers, and Irish music! Growing up, I had not one, not two, but THREE Riverdance videotapes from one of their tours in the 90’s (I had a tape at home, one at my aunt and uncles house, and one at my grandmothers house) and I use to watch that tape religiously! Everyday, I’d have that movie on and try to dance along to it (keep in mind I was a toddler too) haha. I’m 25 years old and still have the tape plus a dvd and a cd of the soundtrack! I listen to the cd sometimes as it calms me down a bit, makes me smile, reminds me of simpler times, and gets my feet tapping thanks to my Irish blood haha
Me 2, I'm not quite as Irish as you but I do have some in me, and I like you used to listen to the tape and watch the video cassette, still got them, I'm Aspergic I really did watch it every day like yourself, came apart if my routine got a bit, it's all so wonderful, 🎶☯️😊
1:45 to 2:49 has to be my favourite part. i heardi it in this year's (2022) music exam papers (lmfao of all things) and was entranced really want to learn this part on violin!
as compelling & exquisite the music is, it's missing the intensity and high energy a live performance provides. the rhythmic clacking of the taps, all building to a exploding crescendo of applause at the end...
This musical piece was featured in the 35th season of "The Amazing Race" where teams encounter a Roadblock where one team member must put on a dance performance.
It's yes cause the dancers aren't slamming down on the stage with heavies (the kind of Irish dancing shoes they use during that part) the song just isn't the same without it. As an Irish dancer I would know
Only thing witht his type musicis it makes you want to get up and dance lol not really a problem actually but just saying Perhaps not dance but at least do some type motion to the music lol
This album is missing the 18th and final soundtrack; the other Riverdance but with the tapping sounds. This soundtrack does not have the tapping sounds. Please upload it!

If angels could sing..
These guys could be standing on the other side of a counter, and you'd never even know they were dancing.
James Cagney perfected that method. Not only was he a talented actor, but that boy could dance!
3:28 start of my fav part!
Same
Ah yes, me too. I love how the many instruments are all playing this intricate part in unison. And then it just builds and builds.
BILL WHELAN'S MUSIC IS MAGNIFICENT, AMAZING. LOVE 😍 FROM CYPRUS 🇨🇾 🇨🇾💕💕👍👍

Seems like forever ago. A few girls from my Academy were invited to dance in "Feet in Flames." What a time it was 💭🥰🍀
Next year when 2024 comes it'll be the 30th Anniversary of when the Riverdance was made to. So that'll be something to Celebrate.

TBH this re-recording is not as awe inspiring as the original. Not by a long shot.

I'd found the original on Spotify earlier this year but then they made it so that album can't be played. 😤 This version just isn't as good. 😒
