Bar of Limitation || Section 3 of Limitation Act || Go legal
Bar of limitation.-
(1) Subject to the provisions contained in sections 4 to 24 (inclusive), every suit instituted, appeal preferred, and application made after the prescribed period shall be dismissed, although limitation has not been set up as a defence.
(2) For the purposes of this Act- (2) For the purposes of this Act-"

(c) an application by notice of motion in a High Court is made when the application is presented to the proper officer of that court.

Ma,am I think you should reconsider the 'set off ' portion because it is stated that "as the suit in which the set off is pleaded".
And according to my knowledge set off can be pleaded in plaint and ws as well . So how a set off which is pleaded in ws could be considered instituted on the day of institution of plaint.
Pls consider it as query.
Other wise your teaching skills are appreciable.

madam set off ka part mereko samajh mai nahi aaya if you will look into section 3(b)(i) wahan pe likha hua hai " in case of a set off, on the same date as the suit in which set off is pleaded" madam iska matalab toh yahi hua na ki jis date pe set off plead kiya gaya uss din se usse separate suit treat kiya jaaega
