Ya the last time I was given advice for betta breading the person was so rude and even blocked me I just asked “ Can you give me some advice for the beta fry”
I thoroughly loved breeding these beautiful little creatures. It was not difficult - once I understood all the needs of the animal. I used a 71/2 gal. show tank with glass dividers, designed to display bettas. Water was rather soft, the PH close to neutral, perhaps slightly acidic. Around 80°. Tank was heavily planted. It was covered, but air was pumped in through an air-hose to insure turnover. Lighting was plant- friendly - it suited the bettas. A variety of peat & other items created tannins; quite a bit. Water was almost chocolate brown. Filtration was only biological. The fish were conditioned on live foods. Black and tubafex worms. Midge larva: live - blood worms, live glass worms, brine shrimp, mosquito larva, and anything I could get or collect for them. Tank was divided in two. Male on one side, female the other. They 'courted' over a period. Over a period of days,, the male built an enormous bubble nest, it swelled up out of the water. The female became very round. Her ovapositer became more pronounced. At 'that' time, when it is thought that the time is right, the divider is lifted. The mating is fascinating and beautiful. After awhile I removed the female. The male cared for the eggs and fry. The fry must have a humid atmosphere. The development of their labyrinth organ will otherwise be unable to develop. I cannot become too detailed as this is only a comment. But breeding these little jewels was truly a wonderful and unique experience. I'm more than happy to share with you everything that made my experience a great success. 👍

Very informative! I am currently trying to breed the betta. How do you know when the female is ready to breed? For the male i can see it start to build bubble nest. Thanks!
So I've come up a solution to your question a long time ago. I've already successfully breed one pair of mine. Your female betta would be ready if she starts making her bubble nest. Meaning it's ready to go out of her egg sac. Be sure to look for its belly in order to know if she's carrrying alot of eggs, because once a female wasn't bred in time, she will release eggs and it'll going to be infertile. You'll wait for another 2 weeks in order to get her ready to breed again if that happens. I hope I helped you. Happy fish keeping!
Hi!! Thanks for the complete tutorial!!👍👍. One question, how to know if both the male and female are ready for breeding? Like, how to know it's too old or too young? Thankx
Hi Malavika, male betta fish is ready to breed, he will create a bubbles, and female has developed a rounded belly and has an ovipostor (round white spot ) underneath her belly. Betta fish are usually ready to breed from 4 months of age till 12 months. Thanks you and stay safe.
Hello Eric, All males will create bubble nest from time to time, It having a natural urge to do so. If you see a bubble nest in the tank it is a very good sign that your betta fish is happy and healthy. The male betta will guard its nest and will wait for a female to spawn with. Thanks you.

Very interesting, I was wondering how hard it would be to breed them. So it is very basic. My questions are, how many females can you put per male to reduce the stress on a female? Second question how often would betas be able to breed per month or per year and what not.
Hi, If you want to breed again your betta give them first the best care and good water condition with live food/Pellets, It depends on how rough the female undergoes when the time of breeding, if she didn’t got much scratch & active as like before then they can be ready to breed after 7 - 14 days. After breeding your male if he is ready to breed again you can pair him with other female variety. Thank you. Happy Breeding
@@NevannaVlog ... Thank you kindly for your advise. I would not want to breed them to often with needing to keep the males seperated. I am not even sure when the males do need to be seperated either. Hi!! I have a couple questions for you. I believe my female betta is egg bound but the male that we had in the tank died. I have 2 females with a male in a tank. They did wonderful together but the male was almost 4 and died. He did make a bubble nest (which I had no idea what it was at the time.) I cleaned the tank thinking it was a filter issue. The female still looks huge and looks like she is carrying eggs. Without the male there to make the bubble nest what do I do? I want everyone to survive. 🙁🙁 I have never mated anything before. Please help.
Hi, one of the sign why betta creates bubbles because they are happy, healthy..must clean the tank regularly, use 1 to 2 days old of water..do not overfeed them..thanks
your female betta may be too big or small for the male. he needs to wrap his body around them! :-) and make sure you keep them separated until he makes a bubble nest

@@GedeAgungHartawan mostly fries knows to swim freely..4-7days but that depends..just observe you fry if they swim horizontally without falling to the bottom of the tank.
Hello Babin, It depends upon the male betta that you have. if the male betta is irresponsible to take care of the fries, you need to remove early after all the fry hatched. You will notice if the betta male is irresponsible when he will eat his own fries. If the betta male is responsible, he will only eat the eggs that seems to him will not hatch. It's his way of cleaning and protecting the healthy one's. Because eggs that will not hatch will cause low quality of the water and could poison the new hatched fries. As soon as the fry are free swimming, the male will need to be removed. Thanks.

3:51 should we move that grren leaf? Or no??
Hi Spacilx, no need to remove.thanks
why my male betta keep showing his flare to the female betta
Hi Naj, male betta fish to flare is because male betta feel threatened by the presence of another fish. thanks and stay connected
your female betta may be too big or small for the male. he needs to wrap his body around them! :-) and make sure you keep them separated until he makes a bubble nest
Beautiful video. Excellent music.
Idk what I did wrong but my male lost one of his eye when they were “mating” but umm I took my male out and they didn’t mate in the end
Hi nope, sad for that, breeding pair will fight or kill each other if they dont like each other, if you introduce female then male is so agggresive big tendency they will fight, male should be gentle thats one of the good sign..I have a video that male is so aggressive,

Hahahah my beta are like that tho

Hi, female will try to hide, you will notice small white or black circle in bubblenest..thanks and stay connected
When im going to remove the male betta in the breeding tank?
Hi MLG, remove male if the fries knows how to swim freely. Thank you
@@NevannaVlog about 2 weeks?
@@GedeAgungHartawan mostly fries knows to swim freely..4-7days but that depends..just observe you fry if they swim horizontally without falling to the bottom of the tank.
@@NevannaVlog thank you for your information. My female betta dont have an egg yet maybe i just gonna wait a little longer before breeding
Well done , was really helpful 👏
I wish u gud luck for upcoming videos and intresting updates 🙏 😊
When should we remove male from fries??
Hello Babin, It depends upon the male betta that you have. if the male betta is irresponsible to take care of the fries, you need to remove early after all the fry hatched. You will notice if the betta male is irresponsible when he will eat his own fries. If the betta male is responsible, he will only eat the eggs that seems to him will not hatch. It's his way of cleaning and protecting the healthy one's. Because eggs that will not hatch will cause low quality of the water and could poison the new hatched fries. As soon as the fry are free swimming, the male will need to be removed. Thanks.
How we shoul if the male eat only the unhatch eegs
@@shintawzhushanin2714 a responsible male betta will not eat the fry, he will only eat the unhatched eggs very likely to be unfertilised. Male betta will eat the bad eggs, the male is saving the good eggs. Thanks
Fry's update plz
2nd Comment:
If you have baby fish it is not really that hard if me as an 11 year old can breed a betta you can keep the fry alive just give them food that can fit in their mouth 😂😂
I feed mine with crushed fish pellets
@@Thewildlifeenthusiast123 does it work?
@@abdurrehman9123 yep
Many use baby brine shrimp and daphnia but yeah crushed fish pellets are fine I have used them for my guppy fries and they're a lot smaller
Wow It Amazing, Thank you for sharing videos,
Love the music
Lost my patience at the end. Did you remove the Male? At what point? How do you care for the fry?
Hi N Bee, After you remove the female, leave the male, only remove the male after the fries knows how to swim freely. In my case after the fries knows how to swim freely I'll transfer them to a bigger tank with 3inches deep of water. Thank you and Happy Breeding..
Nevanna Mae Tenebro how long does it usually take for the fries to learn to swim freely? And do the fries need to get transferred to a different tank after they learn to swim freely?
Betta breeding can get tricky sometimes.
Very true! Parshuram.
Finally a good example and perfect way to breed ive seen rn (I literally cant find one cause its different than this ngl)
Thanks Joanne

Okayyy...tq
When we need to feed male
Feed the male after remove him in the breeding tank. You can also feed him if you want but in small amount.
@@NevannaVlog so hindi kakain ang male starting na irelease mo ang female hanggang sa matututong lumangoy ang fries?
I leave them for 24 hours in the plastic cage and they start fighting after
Hi Laurence, things happen like that, maybe they don't like each other, just try look for another dominant female..I also experienced that in breeding its normal..thanks and stay connected
th-cam.com/video/1z7edCTztws/w-d-xo.html
Why didn't you release Both of them earlier
Hi, must release male betta first because he will own the place as his territory. If you release them both at same time tendency they will fight..thanks and stay connected
I think I’ll be getting make Berta tomorrow excited to try breeding Betta thanks
