Marc The Geek I got grey as well. It’s the best decision I ever had because it didn’t stand out too much in the public snd it’s small, since I will use it outside often so I want to stay lowkey.

Getting rid of my Day One Switch for a Lite today. I rarely play on my TV. I'm a solo player, don't care for multiplayer unless it's with my kids which, they both will be surprised by their very own Switch Lites tomorrow.
This is a better product for myself as a gamer who always leaned toward portable gaming.
P.S. Don't let people talk down to you about what you decide to purchase. If you can afford it or can't afford the one you want, want a Switch V2 or a Lite...buy what makes sense for you and enjoy it.

*Update: 2/17/20* Bought my Lite on 12/23/2019 and absolutely love it. I don't miss any of the features that were removed, nor do I feel that my experience has lessened because of it. Enjoy what you like and try something new. You might surprise yourself.

Slicendiee joy con drift happens on regular switches too. You do know that right?
TheDayveion while I respect your decision, what makes you say that the switch lite is better? The regular Nintendo switch is literally better in every way except price. It even has a significantly better battery life.
@@RK-zc6gj My opinion was based on my personal playstyle:
I don't play with others, which eliminates the need for Joy-Con. I also don't care too much for motion controls. Didn't play or get into the Wii that much other than Wii Sports. Didn't spend enough time with other games that made the feature a must for me.
Battery Life-Schmattery Life...I have 3 children (One 6 months old) so it's not like I get to have 3-5 hour gaming sessions on the regular. If I need to...I'll just charge it. I even have a stand with a USB-c port on the side.
As far as the aesthetics go...I prefer the feel and weight of the Lite as well.
Like I stated in my original post, the Lite offers me a more practical application of its features than the Day 1 switch.
@@synix391 Joy-Con drift has no preference. LoL! Even Lites aren't safe. So far, so good for me.
Technically speaking the Lite screen should look a better / crisper HD because they're stretching the same amount of pixels across a smaller surface.
whylekat It does! I bought one yesterday and it looks crisper than my brother’s OG Switch!
Yup, it was even more noticeable in the 3DS days, I had the smaller regular new3DS while most people had the new3DSXL which screen looked much worse because of the low resolution stretched over a too big screen. Now I have both the OG Switch and the Switch lite, and while the difference is noticeable, it isn't as stark as with the 3DS.

@@macre8389 If you don't have one? Definitely! I also own a regular Switch, and after a week of playing the Switch lite, the regular one suddenly feels uncomfortable in handheld mode in comparison. So yeah, really loving it. The Switch has been my favorite console for a while now, and the lite only made it better to me, cause I always loved handhelds more than regular consoles.

I just bought anoda one but a grey color. The first lite I had was the zancia and zamacentia Edition but I sold it.

You can't record on the switch lite tho, so it would be difficult for him to record on it.
There is only a few games that don't support handheld mode like Mario Party, Labo, Just Dance and some other sports games you also cannot record on the switch lite so he basically can't rly make game reviews

Man I'm so torn between getting a grey or a turquoise. Yellow is pretty but seems too bright and loud. Turquoise looks great in the picture but it looks rather dull in some unboxing video. Grey is very tone down and safe option but GAHHH
I'm going grey because during gaming sessions the blue would be too light and noticeable, the grey will allow for better immersion because it's darker color and not as eye catching
I would get the turquoise because it is the perfect contrast with white

Yeah but if you want your data you have to use the transfer and if your using an micro sd card you have to but another one.
I like this grey one, it looks great. I choose grey switch lite. I like turquoise too but this grey looks classy.

Saw the Grey one in person today and I noticed how well it hides the screens bezels. The bezel sticks out a lot more on the Turquoise and Yellow model.
My hands are someone what small so it's the perfect size to me not small

As aventuras de Plotagon Yeah, but the original Switch in handheld mode is not really that comfortable, that's what makes the Switch Lite worth it. It's for people that looks for something 100% portable.
I prefer original switch in handheld as well. It's comfortable to me and it's all I need.

alento3 the og one is comfortable in handheld mode if you have the right grip or case the lite got my hand cramped when I played a match of Mario kart at Nintendo world I’m selling my og one for the v2 switch I used to play handheld 90% of the time but a week before smash dropped I got a monitor and mostly do tv mode now so I’m now half and half with both play styles and table top mode is dope but the lite is the best handheld ever made reason I’m not getting the lite is how Nintendo wants you to link accounts and save data back and forth
Grey is so class ... And still fun thanks to the white buttons which give the little twist.
By the way grey was also a no brainer for me because it s the color which better enhances the screen colours.
Hi Marc, I got my Nintendo switch lite in the coral color and I got it for Christmas as a gift and I absolutely love it!!!! I got so many things for it with my gift cards it's great. The graphics on it is amazing for a handheld gaming console. In my opinion. I hope your still enjoying your Nintendo switch lite as well. It's a great little console.

I got the turquoise color. it's my new main switch and imported my profile and stuff to the lite and waiting forever for all my stuff to finish downloading and updating.

@@weridedits5270 Just so you know, there's a little curve on the switch lite that made this "handheld mode only switch" really comfortable to grip and use.

Now that you've had these for awhile now it would be cool to see a Vita comparison and how you feel about the systems . A lot of channels seem to forget that there is 9 years difference between the two systems. I can't wait to get one of these , IMHO it was a super good idea and having a dedicated handheld for $100 less is amazing IMO.

When looking at the back of switch lite the right hand vent grill seems to have the holes covered compared to the right vent. They all seem to be like this. Just wondering is a fake vent for symmetry? Much like the way some houses have fake chimneys for symmetry. That aside, i am enjoying the switch lite. Games are bloody expensive though 🤨
I most likely will be getting a switch lite sometime soon, but if someone in your family owns a switch with cartridges, you can use those too.

Jody Drax Yes! You can go into your Nintendo account and set up a child account. He’ll have his own save files and everything.

LemoByte How would games look worse on a higher resolution display? So what’s the whole point of improving screen panels? If that was the case TVs would still be boxes and we would have screenless phones 😂 battery life can be drastically improved and cooling chambers could be applied to reduce battery from heating up.
Johnny Newport Alfaro let’s put it this way. Most switch games struggle to hit 720p in handheld mode, so 1080p is a bit of a stretch. Especially considering that most games in docked mode don’t hit 1080p. Therefore, games are going to be upscaled to 1080p. When this happens the image looks worse than it would be at a native resolution. Moreover, the games that run in native 720p on the current switch models would look distorted on this new 1080p screen. The only benefit would be the main menu and maybe select indie games at the expense of battery. Granted the battery wouldn’t drain as fast if it only affected menus, but it would still be lesser than a 720p device. What you are asking for is going to cost more money than it’s worth.

@@chriswilliams9734 Ah okay cool. So the lite would be a better fit for you than me. I'm sort of a stickler when it comes to getting oil and fingerprints on the switch and stuff but the way that the lite is looking with its matte finish looks like it doesn't attract much and a smaller form factor does look nice to be honest. When I have used my og switch undocked i feel like i have to treat it like a baby and be gentle all the time. With the lite since its one solid form factor and smaller i think it can handle the abuse of being outside the home since it is actually built to be only a handheld. When I used to play on my pspgo I would use it almost everywhere I went. So I'm thinking about getting the lite. And the grey version looks sweet as well.

Even this Nintendo Switch is the Lite version, the game performance is the same, but the diferences are the screen size, incorporated joy-cons, and that you don't have that dock. My personal favorite is the grey one.
So without WiFi the only thing u can do is play games offline? Cause it keeps saying “link your Nintendo account” and I don’t have one made yet

If you only plan to play portable obviously this is a more economical choice but I think one thing to keep in mind with switch is games don’t always run the same in docked & portable mode, many cases in portable the games get gimped for the lower res but more importantly to keep from wrecking the battery, so while the idea of switch lite seems good if you like portable, from a games standpoint it could have its drawbacks

Idk though this was has better graphics chip and is also cheaper. I never 1. Change my joycons and 2. Play on tv mode

@@pointblank4722 no, the lite doesnt have any hand cramps while the OG made me have cramps after sometime playing. Its due to the Lite form factor and its curves instead of the concrete slab that is the OG switch. Hence the Lite was made to be a handheld, wouldnt make any sense to feel worse lol.
Also the Lite has motion controls aswell and the rumble feature is overated and not that great.
Seriously you guys that dont have money to buy a Lite, just dont comment instead of trying to give excuses and telling everyone the Lite isnt worth it. It is, its way better than the OG switch in handheld mode so it's way more worth it to many people.

The lite is very great, I recommend it for any people who don’t have that much money, and can’t afford an actual switch, it’s 10/10 cool, it’s easy in your hands, not too much technical stuff, has some type of nostalgia (Nintendo DS) and is worthy for many people who prefer smaller things, you can also go anywhere with it. (If I’m correct) Grey is also pretty good as my eyes only prefer dark mode XD, turquoise and bright yellow hurts my eyes, so definitely grey, I hope I get this some day LOL
