“Black Swan” focuses on the fear of losing your love for music. All of these fears, pressures, and doubts manifest in the shadows heard and seen in “Black Swan.” In the music video, Jimin dances alone, succumbing to shadows. He is the black swan, who agonizes. And there is a parallel between the ballerina who can no longer dance and the musician who loses inspiration.
Black Swan is a song inspired by the Martha Graham quote: “A dancer dies twice; The first death is when you stop dancing, and that death is infinitely more painful.”
BTS took this and applied it to the moment when an artist's inspiration leaves them, when they may no longer feel love and passion for their music.
The industry can put a lot of pressure on the artist. The "creator" BTS's Bang Si-hyuk has always given them a lot of freedom to live their art, but fame brings a lot of pressure, from the company, fans, the media, etc.
Fear that making music means no longer living art in a true way.

BTS is ART. They are not pop, rock, hiphop, rap - but they do to all. And yes, they are beautiful men. Not perfect people, but brilliant, sweet, mischievous, extremely hard working, deep thinking... Don't underestimate them or think you know what to expect. This is a fabulous ride into the rabbit hole. Enjoy and your brain will thank you.

They are really a group of 7 solo artists, 7 Song writers, 7 Composers, 7 Producers, 7 musicians who make up Thee Global Super Group.

Hi! It's so cool to see you reacting to the BTS boys. As you've seen, they're very talented. BTS is made up of 3 rappers and 4 vocalists. Black Swan is a more artistic phase of the group. However, you'll find a variety of musical genres in BTS' discography. If you're interested in learning a little more about them, I recommend you watch the guide to bts members: the bangtan 7 reaction, which talks about their trajectory and each member individually. In this k-pop den, you'll find some really good groups.

BTS tends to portray ideas and thoughts very well in their songs or videos. The complexity of most of his compositions beautifully expresses his creative and artistic choices. To do this, they use various devices and symbols, linking literary, psychological and social references. Repeating words is a deliberate literary device that puts emphasis on something and is called Epizeuxis. In this case, "bump, bump, bump" is the sound of the heartbeat and conveys the heightened sensation of anxiety; and, "jump, jump, jump" deepens the feeling of depression and dark thoughts, adding layers of complexity to the lyrics. In the case of "nah, nah, nah" and "yeah, yeah, yeah" the repetition makes the song accessible to BTS's multinational and multilingual audience where fans from diverse backgrounds can easily sing along, creating a sense of unity and connection. . This MV was filmed at the Los Angeles Theater. “Black Swan” is inspired by the psychological theories of Carl Jung and explores the concept of “Shadow” which addresses the darkest things that exist in all of us and that we hide or repress, for example, our fears and doubts or our prejudices.
It is based on the following quote from dancer and choreographer Martha Graham, “a dancer dies twice - once when she stops dancing, and this first death is the most painful”. That's why it's relatable to Tchaikovsky's famous ballet, "Swan Lake", where there is a White Swan (good) and a Black Swan (evil). It is demonstrated throughout the video by the choreography and the colors of her black, white and gray clothes.
This song has an essentially deep and personal meaning for BTS, as it refers to the fear of losing their passion for music. The video portrays the struggle within oneself between light and darkness, with beautiful visuals, powerful choreography and emotional vocals, adding depth to the narrative and representing the artists' internal conflicts and emotions. But the lyrics end with the hope that they will fight this feeling by looking deeper into themselves, understanding their feelings, knowing themselves better, and using those feelings as inspiration to make more music.
    💜🇧🇷💜🇧🇷💜🇧🇷💜🇧🇷💜🇧🇷💜🇧🇷💜

BTS is the biggest group in the world and one of the most successful artists.
The group consists of 7 members (including 3 rappers and 4 vocalists) from South Korea.
They collaborated with a lot of artists such as: Coldplay, Fall Out Boy, Halsey, MAX, Lauv, Anderson .Paak,
Becky G, Snoop Dogg, NLE Choppa, Kodak Black, Desiigner, Megan Thee Stallion, Latto, Juice WRLD,
Wale, Warren G, Nicki Minaj, J.Cole, Little Simz, Steve Aoki, Jason Derulo, Kid LAROI, Central Cee, Erykah Badu,
Muni Long, Lil Nas X, Charlie Puth, Usher, (+more)
As a group BTS have a huge amount of songs 300+
(only 3 of their songs as a group are entirely in English).
They are all songwriters and music producers,
most of their work is very meaningful, so reading the lyrics is really important.
They make music in a lot of different genres and styles (Hip-Hop, R&B, Pop, EDM, Latin Pop, Ballad, ...+).
Each of the members is very different, and all of them make their own solo stuff
so depending on what kind of music you are interested in, you really have a lot to choose from.
If you want to learn more about them, I highly recommend watching these videos, which I will link below:

Loved your reaction, I especially appreciate that you used “non K-Pop fan” instead of the ugly, click bait “K-Pop Haters” so many reactors trying to get the many followers reacting to BTS brings. They are about positivity, openness and art and the fandom is very respectful and caring. The way you approached this alone is enough to get a view and your enjoyable reaction and openness to something new earned a subscriber. Looking forward to watching more. The amazing soloist (dance) is Jimin, he has formal dance training and was studying ballet and contemporary before joining BTS. He also has several black belts, all the members are very accomplished in multiple areas. Jimin & JK are the most athletic, RM (the leader) is the most poetic and artistic. They all are truly multi-faceted.

Kpop is not a genre actually, it's an industry because groups can choose whatever genre they want. I know you can listen to like one or two songs from a singer or group and get the gist of their sound but with BTS, their discography is so varied that you need to listen to a variety of the music to get who they are.
    Rayna said on 1/29/22
The first thing to understand is, that "K-Pop" is not really just a genre, it's more a whole industry..
As SUGA (one of the BTS members) once said:
"I’m a little careful to talk about K-pop as a genre, because I don’t want to be defining Kpop as a genre. I’m a little bit wary of that, but I think rather than approach Kpop as a genre, a better approach would be ‘integrated content.' K-pop includes not just the music, but the clothes, the makeup, the choreography…all these elements I think sort of amalgamate together in a visual and auditory content package, that I think sets it apart from other music or maybe other genres so again, as I said, rather than approach K-pop as it’s own genre I think approaching it as this integration of different content would be better.”
BTS is more than just K-Pop.
There are 3 rappers and 4 vocalists in BTS.
Also I recommend you some songs, that show their diversity:
    - ON Kinetic Manifesto Film (Music Video)
    - Mic Drop (Music Video)
    - Blood, Sweat & Tears (Music Video)
    - Blue & Grey (MTV Unplugged)
    - Dis-ease (Lyric video)
    - Magic Shop (Live)
    only the rapline:
    - Outro: Tear (Live)
    - UGH (Lyric Video)
    - Cyphers 1-4 (Lyric Video) & Cypher Medley
    only the vocal line:
    - The Truth Untold (Live)
    - House of Cards (Live)
    - Dimple (Live)
I was also never a boyband kinda girl... My taste is/was more stuff like Disturbed, Papa Roach, Flogging Molly etc., until I found them and I'm so glad I did..

With "Black Swan," BTS divulge their most harrowing shadow yet, one that any person who lives for making art faces: losing the passion for creating.
"A dancer dies twice - once when they stop dancing, and this first death is the more painful." Martha Graham. This quote is at the root of the sentiments inlaid in "Black Swan." Much like a dancer feels purposeless when they can no longer express themselves through dance, BTS contends that the day that music no longer fills them with the same passionate fire as before, or even if there came a day when they stopped creating music - what they feel is their life's purpose - it would feel like death.
RM sings, "If this can no longer resonate / No longer make my heart vibrate / Then this may be how I die my first death."
Once again, BTS affirm that despite their countless record-breaking accolades, the wealth they've amassed, and their ever-increasing fame, they are artists. What means most to them is the art - music, visuals, dances - that they create.

Hi, Good reaction, ty. I am glad u liked the song. I love it so much. This one has beautiful deep meaning of their lyrics. As you notice like lines " It would be my first death. That's what I'm afraid of ." It has that emotional theme of an artist fear for losing their passion for what they do. With this song BTS dives deep into their inner selves as artists and faces the shadows they had once hidden. The song lends voice to their fears that one day music will no longer be able to move or touch them. The very moment they come face to face with the ‘Black Swan’ within themselves, however, they are stricken with a paradoxical realization that music is all they have. It is a confession of an artist who has truly learned what music means to himself. It's also inspired from Martha Graham, who said “A dancer dies twice once when they stop dancing, and this first death is more painful.” Now with the band on a break from group work and focusing more on solo projects (solo albums). We know this was also a hint to us that they were struggling. I hope u watch all the performances for this song. =0] Usually we watch the dance practice after and the behind the scenes. Hope u check those out. Stay safe. - 2019 ARMY NY USA 💜

Black Swan ballet: changing from white to black swan - growing up, losing innocence.
Black Swan movie - sacrificing mental and physical health to reach the top.
    Shadow/mirror images - self reflection.
Black Swan: Mainly written by RM, the one you like, is about their fears of losing all passion for music, either writing it or performing on stage. It's also based on a quote by Martha Graham who was an important figure in the world of modern dance, "A dancer dies twice. Once when they stop dancing and this death is more painful." They've been doing this for a long time now and for some of them it's all they've ever done from a young age but realized music is their life.

Fun fact: Before BTS began doing it, it wasn't normal at all for Korean idol groups to release songs with deeper meanings, discuss serious topics in their songs, acknowledge issues of vulnerability like burnout, depression or mental illness. It wasn't normal for idols to open up about their personal troubles at all. In fact, doing so got some idols thrown out of their companies. It was also not normal or common to have a running storyline/theme that is carried through multiple albums and/or MVs and songs. But BTS did it all so successfully, and broke those stigmas, to the point that now many other Korean idol groups have started trying to do those things, with varying degrees of sincerity and success.
This song, its lyrics and MV are part of the "Shadow" portion of BTS's Map of the Soul era, in which they released albums and songs based on Carl Jung's theories regarding the Persona, Shadow, and Ego. This track is an exploration of their "shadow" selves' fear that they may someday lose their passion for their art - they ask if perhaps they are already losing it- and they wonder what comes after that "first death" of the loss of passion. In the end, they continue to fight for their passion and their art, claiming they won't be swept away by these fears again. I would encourage you to think about how counter-cultural BTS is being in songs like this: Not only are they dealing with topics that were taboo only a few years ago, but they're being unbelievably personally vulnerable, sincere and open. This is why we love them so much, and I'm sure you will, too! 💜
Example: A couple of weeks ago Jimmy Fallon had BTS on his late night show. They performed a song called Idol at This Idol performance at Gyeongbokgung Palace as a background and wearing hanboks. There are so many amazing location Rich with Ancient history. Here is a link to the idol performance, so you can see the background visual of the palace. th-cam.com/video/MXFkjMNXfpY/w-d-xo.html

You understood this 100%! In retrospect after Festa 2022 when they announced the beginning of Chapter 2, (solo work & military before reuniting) I believe that Several songs on this album deal with the fact that they lost focus and inspiration and needed time to rest and reflect on their own before coming back together stronger than ever after the military. This embodies the Karl Jung’s psychological concept of Shadow, the dark part of your personality. From the album Map of the Soul 7 in 2020 that covers Shadow and Ego. The previous album was Map of the Soul- Persona. They were supposed to do a big world tour in 2020 to promote this album, then take a break for solo work and military service before reuniting. But Covid happened in early 2020 after they started promoting the album with this song and O.N., with 3 MV’s shot in LA California. Plans changed. Their big tour was cancelled. This led to Dynamite, the “pandemic album” BE, Butter, Permission to Dance (PTD), 2 Grammy nominations, the PDT tour in Soeul, LA& Vegas, their anthology album Proof. They finally started solo work one by one in late 2022 through late 2023 and the last 4 enlisted in December 2023. Jin comes back this June 12!!! Jhope in October and the rest in June 2025.

"Black Swan" is about the fear of losing passion for art and the relationship artists have with their craft.
The song's video opens with a quote from the late dancer Martha Graham: "A dancer dies twice -- once when they stop dancing, and this first death is the more painful". The song's performances also acknowledge BTS' deepest fears and show how they choose to use those fears to grow creatively. The performances borrow heavily from modern dance to create an artistic spectacle.

    HI!! loved your reaction :)
i see youre going farther than just bts so i have a bunch of tips for you so that your expierence stays as fun and stress free as possible.
1 make some kind of schedules for each group and how you go through their music/ non music content kpop groups do SO MUCH more than any western group or artist combined. so you will get overwhelmed by the amount and the requests from fans.
2 kpop fans is a term people outside of kpop use. but there are 100 new groups debuting every year and kpop has existed since the 90s. every group in kpop has their own individual fandom so we wont all love the same groups and that will show in your views but also keep in mind some fandoms dont like reactors due to clout chasers in the past so low views on a member of a group or a group itself doesnt mean those member or groups arent popular that is only those who are viewing your videos. many reactors equate low views to low popularity in a fandom when maybe 5% of every fandom watch reactions.
sorry wrote a lot you can keep referring to this thread whenever you need to tho :)

3 some groups and fandoms do not like each other. as a army theres a lot of validity for armys to not like other fandoms and it has to do with bts lyrics and story theyre very honest and many hardships were due to many kpop fandoms online and in person hate towards bts and other armys. example a army was thrown in a trashcan head first when bullied by other kpop fans. bad apples however dont always mean the entire fandom or entire group is at fault however there a select few groups who added/encouraged the hate towards bts or new spoke out against it but called out hate towards their own groups etc. to combat this learn about every groups story in depth and pay attention to bts lyrics specifically as they write their own lyrics so the lyrics are their lives, opinions, experiences etc some other groups also write some go deeper some dont. im not a multistan which means you stan multiple groups however i casually listen to other groups. the controlled kpop robot narrative is true in some cases but is a very racially charged narrative that exaggerates many aspects of korean culture and society and links it to only their entertainment. example beauty standards in kpop wont change until the overall society in korea makes effort to change it so outside opinions doesnt help. most of the kpop rules are korean society rules like no drugs for example. but things like smoking vape/cigarettes, drinking, tattoos, cursing, dating ban etc those are a label by label case by case rule. bts does not have any of those rules every member has at least 1 tattoo, they curse in their music and on live streams in concerts etc but they dont on korean tv they cover their tattoos on korean tv because those are the korean tv rules. anyways back to the fandom aspects. basically if you like a group and their music no one should hate you for it. however dont undermine struggles of other groups when becoming a fan of certain groups. so example for bts learn about bts and armys history what bts went through as a group and as individuals what armys have said other people did to bts or armys but dont automatically hate other groups or other fans based on that. and if you learn about blackpink for example learn about their stories the hate and hardships they got what their fans say happened to the group and the fans but dont hate other fandoms and groups based on that. dont ignore the bad stuff but dont use the knowledge in a negative way either. thats the tricky part of most multi stans especially new people they want to be a people pleaser so they try to appeal to the fandoms but if you get too deep you have bias against others. this will make other fandoms dislike you for being biased due to negative remarks or comparisons you may or may not make etc.
i dont know much about other groups history but i know bts's and im still able to call out bad behavior without blaming everyone. example a lyric from a bts members song "on our side there was no one....using you seniority to harass others..." i just took 2 lines not the whole verse but the seniority is very very important to korean culture. if a 13 and 14 year old are friends the 13 year old must use honorific speech to respect the older friend, same goes for adults, same goes for workplace if a 47 year old just got the job but a 20 year old been working at the place for a year the 47 year old must show the 20 year old respect as theyre the senior in the workplace but the 20 year old still need to show respect since the 47 year old is older. this occurs in every aspect of korean culture every workplace, every school, every stranger if they look older than you you use honorifics, when meeting you ask the year the person is born to determine how to speak to them and if its the same year you then go by the month. so for bts to say people used their seniority to harass others is a direct statement that kpop groups that debuted before bts could be within the same year or years prior but this means they harassed bts, hated on them, mocked them, laughed at them, talked bad about them etc to bts faces and behind their backs and this is not a maybe this is a fact cause bts have not changed the story in 11 years and other former idols came out and admitted to bullying them or witnessed them be bullied. many multi stans ignore that and many other fandoms say bts are liars or pretend it never happened as well as pretend they never did anything to bts. if a fan genuinely is confused and never took part thats one thing but to claim the fandom innocent is another. army isnt innocent but majority of things they said was in response to other fandoms saying stuff first.
all of this to say do learn about all the bad stuff but dont use it to hate others if someone says armys did this dont think all armys did this. if someone says that fandom did this to bts dont think that its all of that fandom. but still acknowledge how that effected the group/members and if the group has creative freedom then it was/will be expressed creatively at some point.

4 theres many things about korean culture that are different from the west. you will pick up on some just ask for people to explain it to you. example asian men in general both east, south east, south, north, middle etc men are very touchy with each other and its not seen as 'gay'. its similar to in italy they kiss everyone on the cheek. but some asian countries have lgbtq+ rights and some dont so if you assume or make a comment some fans may either think youre a shipper (ill explain that next) or theyll agree with you or be offend by you depending on where theyre from.
there are lgbtq+ fans in every fandom that will agree with your observation but there will also be homophobic people who disagree. while i think homophobia should be called out its hard to combat it in places where its not only illegal but its society exiling or even punishable by unalive. but then theres placed like thailand who legalized it. korea still has a long way to go but theyre more accepting than some other asian countries. so regardless of sexuality all asian men or majority of asian men have no problems holding hands hugging kissing on the cheek cuddling sleeping next to each other sharing food etc also the sleeping next to each other and sharing food is rooted in korean culture as well as for some groups who started with no money so had to live in cramped places. example bts all 7 members slept in one room for maybe 6 years. they had no money and their label was also broke.

    • @tastefullyrics4895
      @tastefullyrics4895 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

respect, bullying, giving back, being culturally sensitive, following the laws etc are all very serious topics in korea. their history is still effecting them today so a lot of the more inspired or artistic music like deep songs or ballads carry a specific weight called HAN. "a complex, internalized feeling of rage, grief, resentment, regret, or deep sorrow. It's considered so uniquely Korean that there's no direct translation in English. Some say that han is an essential part of Korean identity, and others say it's a modern post-colonial identity."
so bts spring day for example has a lot of HAN in it. youll learn why whenever you get to that song.
koreans are conservative but theyre not stuck fully in a older time period. theyre the same as anywhere else in the world but some aspects of their culture make them different. example they love to drink they can rival they irish with how much they drink but theyre all very against drugs. theyre very against cheating/affairs especially for celebrities. theyre very against bullying due to most minors who bullied in the past or present get little to no punishment even when its severe like almost unaliving someone the minor doesnt get a record and gets a slap on the wrist. so korean public trys to make sure no celebrity who bullied becomes or stays successful when the celebrity is exposed. but this also leads to false witch hunting that ruins careers and lives even if the celebrity is innocent or being set up or blackmailed. korea has high s unalive rates including among celebrities. not really due to the industry itself but due to the society who will bully celebrities for anything they feel like while also claiming to find the bully celebs that are hiding their past. so the public is both the bully and the finder of bullies which leads to many many horrible situations. i dont want you to be shocked when you get in deeper and witness the negative sides.
remember korea is a country not kpop land and they have many flaws just like everywhere else. especially their media is very much like tmz even their supposed serious outlets behave like tmz when they get the chance to which also contributes to how the public treats some celebrities. and media is know for writing defaming articles in korea and getting no punishment for it even after a celebrity unalives. so its important to keep this in mind when/if you join fandom spaces like on twitter with a stan account because some korean media search for fans and make entire lie articles to push as truth and gets the idols hated on.
      5. shipping.. ok so you may have heard of this term if you remember larry harry and loui of one direction. shipping is seen as fun and harmless sometimes its seen as going too far like for larry. in kpop theres more due to the skinship i was talking about. but many shippers are delusional and stuck in a fantasy world and we dont want them to ruin some friendships or make idols be awkward around their friends/members. especially in bts theyre so much of a family that they outright said to not ship them. theyre best friends they dont need to be more. this may differ in other kpop fandoms.

      6. solo stanning. like being a stan of harry but not the others. only way more intense. solo stanning is very looked down on in kpop even in korea they have the word akgae which means malicious solo fan. some groups and fans encourage it especially if theyre very very large groups like 13 or twenty something members. but some like blackpink for example gives their fans of their solo music a fandom name and its seen as normal for them. so blackpinks fans are blinks but lisa's solo fandom name is lillies i think. but for bts when they do group music its ARMY, when they each do solo music its still ARMY. they do not have and do not want solo fans/solo fandom names. many bts solo stans (yes they still exist even when the members dont want them to exist) are very vile, agressive, hateful, will attack you for anything, will try to manipulate you into thinking other members, the fandom army or the label/people in the label hate this member or mistreat that member but thats all lies. never to be believed. solo stans should never be listened to they hate on other members they want their favorite to leave the group or want the group to break up so theyll join in on hating the group even their own member they claim to love if he shows he wants to stay with the group. bts have been a group for 11 years and have signed 3 contracts with the same label. never leaving when they had the money and offers to even as a group owning their name and music could go anywhere even open their own labels but they stay with the one they grew with from the bottom. bighit music formerly bighit entertainment. this clearly shows that they like being where they are. theyre not mistreated, they have creative freedom for music, tv, movies, anything with music and personal freedom to date to travel to do fashion deals to act in movies or tv to do interviews to collab with anyone they want to etc anyone who says otherwise has bad intentions and isnt a fan or is too new and hasnt consumed enough official content with subtitles to witness bts have freedom. theres documented proof of every member having freedom in so much content even live streams like going for a walk by themselves no security they can and do do that still today even with how big they are and its because they like and want to. also the complaints about how much a member appears in a music video, live performance or how many line they got in a song is all bad intentions because bts said many times they all discuss what they want to do in a song music video or performance. some members ask for their part to be redone or removed some give more to another member if they think theyll fit the song better and another song later on that same member will get more lines since they now fit this song better. they have 300+ songs and all have solo music in bts albums and their own solo career music to shine none of them fight over it so fans shouldnt either. performances depends on if the label is controlling the camera or if its a award show. if the label isnt controlling the camera the label and group have no say in what the camera does. anyone who hates on the label or members or army but claim to be army may not be a solo stan they might be a manti aka manager anti but they do all the same stuff solo stans do except they pretend to love the group not just 1 or 2 members. shippers also do this but they only like 1 or 2 members and hate the rest but for shippers its not all that do this but for solos and mantis it typically is all who do that. but some also get confused with these titles and may be casual listeners not army yet or dont want to be army but they are nice and love the full group and dont spread or listen to rumors and trust bts make good decisions for their careers etc but they label themselves as solo stan or multi or something that isnt army and get lumped in but those would be casual listeners not actual fans. fans are army only. multis are people who like multiple groups but can also label themselves as part of some fandoms depending on how involved they are if its casual theyre not multi theyre just casual listener. example since you reacted to stray kids too. theres armystays or stayarmys which if theyre more into bts the army would be first if theyre more into stray kids the stay would be first. but people who just listen to both wouldnt be considered those names until they go deeper than surface level in both.

      7. boycotters. this is a touchy subject because some may be genuine in their fights/activism. others just use real world issues to attack celebrities specifically korean celebs. most boycotters are very extreme and are very performative and target korean groups/idols/labels more than any western artists or label ever. some even stream and buy western music but boycott korean music its strange. the ones who lost loved ones in wars or are boycotting all artists across the world/movies/tv shows ever across the world and arent picking and choosing can do and say whatever they want and those who wish to join will. but the ones who dont even follow their own standards and hate koreans more than anyone else seem to target kpop fandoms and make them feel guilty for not being miserable like them. also making up lies about some groups like oh this group is controlled by xyz person so boycott this label until they remove that person and set the group free. meanwhile said group being bts has always had full control over their music and choices before that person even joined the company and the person can only suggest ideas bts can and have said no many times. making this random guy with little to no influence have more importance than he does. dislike the man all you want but dont use the controled kpop idol narrative to get your way and harm bts. anyways other boycotters are due to groups in other labels having issues with their label and people want all fans of groups under all the labels under this parent company to boycott. so hybe labels is NOT a label its the parent company to many many labels 8 i think and each label has many groups. bts are only under bighit music. so if a group under another label is having issues with their label why should armys boycott bts. same goes for other groups under labels under hybe. if the fans of that group think they should boycott that group thats fine but dont bring everyone else into it.

Welcome to BTS. This is a great rabbit hole to go down. Not just because of their music and dancing, but because of their story, all they have gone through and are still going through… and yet they remain humble and very real.
The first guy you asked “is he the leaders is Jung Kook. He is not the leader. He is the main vocalist (top), lead dancer (right below main) and sub rapper. The one with the dark hair that you said, “He’s cute” is V. I won’t overwhelm you with trying to identify all of them, but just know that all seven could leave the group and have great careers, but thankfully they have chosen to stay a group and will work on solo projects as they see fit. To prove I am not making this up, One of them (Jung KooK) has 3 songs over 1 Billion streams. And his sing “Seven” fest. Latto, is the fastest song in history to get 1 Billion streams. It surpassed Miley Cyrus’s “Flowers”. Jimin has 2 songs with 1 Billion streams. His most recent one, “Who” is the fastest song in history by a soloist (no feature) to get 1 Billion streams. V has a song “Love Me Again” has 955M streams. We are working on getting all of them 1 Billion streams. The other vocalist, Jin, JUST released his first album. It is called “Happy”
If you love rap, you will love the three rappers (or even if you don’t. I didn’t before BTS). I think you will be blown away by them.
here are my two cents worth of suggestions. 😊

Welcome to the BTS Rabbit Hole, lol. You picked a great song to start with!
BTS's discography is vast, and there's something for everyone. BTS defies labels, and they go far beyond KPOP. A lot of their music is just plain fun. But most of it has deeper meaning. They write and produce most of their music themselves, so there's almost always a deeper meaning below the surface. It's a shame for us native English speakers as we can miss a lot of the nuance of their lyrics, but it's important to pay attention to them all the same.
Beyond having great music, they're just generally caring, humble, funny, talented human beings. They love us just as much as we love them. It often gets dismissed as just another parasocial relationship, but I've never seen anything like it in my life in any other fandom (and I'm over 40, lol).
ARMY (the BTS fandom) can be overwhelming at first, and it's mostly because we're just so excited when people find and appreciate our boys. You'll probably get a ton of information, so I'm not going to continue to go on and on like I could. What kind of music do you generally like? That will help us recommend songs for you. Like I said, their discography is deep, so it's hard to give blind recommendations. And that's not even including their solo projects, of which there are many.
As you're going through, you may end up thinking to yourself, where have I been? How did I not know about them before?? And to that we say: BTS finds you when you need them the most. And that's been true for almost every ARMY I've talked to.

I would like you to react to some of their other songs. I recommend: "On, kinetic manifesto film", "Fake Love', "Run BTS" (the song, not the entertainment program), "Blood, Sweat and Tears", "The truth untold", "Zero O'clock", "Spring Day", "Mic Drop", "Your eyes tell". It's hard to select one or two songs, all of their songs are wonderful. Besides their official videos, I recommend you watch some of their live performances, BTS sings better live. Greetings.

I would say that I am more of a BTS fan than Kpop fan. ARMY ( their fanbase) is made up of a very diverse crowd of all ages. I am 55yo. I like various songs of other kpop groups, but BTS shines with thoughtfulness instilled in every song- both the music and lyrics.
    Welcome to the rabbit hole!

I'm sure if you listen to radio you have heard bts who are the biggest band in the world right now. Such songs as permission to dance and dyanamite were played here.
The men have been a band for 14 years and are not just a kpop group they have surpassed kpop. There are seven members and the leader as in meeting with the press
and handling the day to day things is RM. There are three rappers in the group they are, jhope, Rm and Suga. Four singers are jungkook or jk , jimin , tae and jin .
They all actually sing and dance, they all also have solo albums jin's has just been released. They all have ther own distinct styles.

They do mix borh english and korean throughout their music, so that everyone can at least semi-understand what they’re saying and singing along.

You obviously like moon phases... Jimin, the contemporary dancer in this MV, has the moon phases tattooed down his back. Check out his MV "Set Me Free pt. 2" and you'll get a glimpse of them at the end.

He is not the only all rounder or “it boy”. That is such a solo thing to say (or at the very least extremely biased).

I noticed the moon phases in your background. Jimin, one of the main dancers in BTS has that tatooed down his spine. Look up Jimin moon tatoo. You mentioned rain - watch Epiphany live performance by Jin, oldest member of BTS, or Forever Rain MV by RM, leader and main rapper of BTS.
