I thought I had patience, but hand drilling that many holes to fill with dowels would have done me in! This is a great looking project!

At first, I didn't understand why you were doing the inside a section at a time. Then I realized the vessel is so deep, it would be hard to handle a tool all the way down to the bottom. Good solution. Fun and whimsical piece! Thanks for sharing!
