I did think they'd pay tribute to Carr somehow & they did with Singer's costume but I don't think we'll ever see the Fox makeup worn again. Vinnie owns the rights to both his & Carr's makeup. I didn't expect any nod to Vincent & personally, I'm glad. I was never a fan of his. Carr was great though!
J.L. Neal Vincent owns nothing. He was never signed to a contract with the band so never a real member either. As far as Eric Carr goes, I wouldve found it a huge insult to use his makeup. Other than the tribute on Revenge, the band has distanced themselves from anything Carr related. It wouldve been nice to see a video tribute this year from them with it being 25 years. But thats their choice for better or worse.

I'm not too well versed with computers or this whole internet thing and I recently discovered TH-cam and boy oh boy am I glad that I did! I have been watching KISS videos non stop, I didn't even know they were still together!!! I am surprised they are still together! Ace looks great for his age (not so much Gene ha ha) and it does my heart good that they are still all a tight band. Never heard the second song they played, I guess it was after I stopped keeping up with them but it was awesome. But man oh man is Ace great, he was always my absolute favorite member.
Kiss should have given the other two longtime members their own makeup and costumes for the end of the road tour. It would have been so cool. And that would have been so Kiss to do that. The other half can really play. I've been a fan of kiss since I was 5...1975.

It's in a totally different key - so the positions for all the harmonics and hammer-ons would be totally off, therefore, he's producing a different set of sounds. He has had to accommodate the different neck position while still trying to make it sound like the authentic solo by Steve Farris... Please get a clue before you critique someone else's art.
I understand why they didn't put Tommy and other Eric in Vinnie and Eric's original makeup. But Paul is playing his period-correct Eagle, wouldn't it have been funny as shit if Tommy was playing a gold Rhoads V? Either way, this is about as close to revisionist history as Paul and Gene can get, i.e. a world where Ace never left the band for the Creatures tour. Tommy apes Ace in every way so hard that it's not hard to imagine.
Tommy proves once again that he is good enough to play Ace's solo's, but is entirely inadequate when it comes to playing any solo written by Vinnie, Mark or Bruce. With the exception of Lick it up and Heaven's on fire. He is such an average guitar player. With regards to having Eric Singer wear Eric Carr's make up? That would be insulting.
Two original band members with cover guys? It's one step away from a cover band. They really shouldn't use original guys make up they should have their own characters.
