I used to hang out with Laura Lorda in San Francisco. She would put on private flamenco performances for me, castanets and all, in her living room with the glitter ceiling. At the time I lived in Santa Cruz and she would stay in my garage bedroom with me whenever Pearl Harbor & the Explosions came to town. She made me lock my cat outside because she said it could lay on your face in the night and suffocate you. Good times :))
