Looks very much like the V6 version I got, only bummer is the vac no longer fits the Dyson mount plate. Did design & 3d printed a wall mount for the adapter instead
You can find 3D models of any brand of tool battery connector (DeWalt, Makita, Ridgid/AEG, Bosch, Parkside (Lidl), etc), as well as models of already designed adapters from brand to brand. Makita (18V) is quite popular for these 'hacks'. Parkside (20V) too (because of the price per battery compared to the bigger tool brands) Worth checking out if you have access to a 3D printer.. (I unfortunately don't).. Or if you want to carve your own adapter from some material and just need exact measurements.
Like many others, I've saved a "dead" Dyson for some time. Found your video and purchased the parts you recommended (Amazon). After one use, the vacuum will work VERY intermittently (meaning, it runs for < 10 seconds; then if left alone for a minute, will run for 10 seconds again). I'm guessing that the issue is NOT the new battery, but is the adapter. Maybe I got a lemon? Thoughts???
@@TheSleepyCraftsman Oh my gosh! Thanks so much for your quick response. The adaptor was through Amazon (marketed as "BTRUI for Dyson V7 Battery Adapter for Dewalt 20V Battery Convert to for Dyson SV11 V7 Animal Cordless Stick Vacuum Cleaner Handheld Vacuum Converter (only DW20V7 Adapter)" The battery is a DeWalt 20v POWER STACK.
Never knew these adapters existed. I’ve wasted money on replacement batteries by 3rd party sellers and none of them have worked beyond maybe one or two uses. My Dyson is a V6, so it’s pretty old - and I would need to buy one of the higher capacity DeWalt batteries… still seems not worth it DeWalt batteries (well, all of them) are stupid expensive.
I have a Dyson v8 and Bosch power tools, the green line (non professional) can’t seem to find a adapter for these. Only for the Bosch blue (professional) Am I wrong?
Just happened to find this by happenstance, ive been saving a Vacum for a conversion like this for months, had not even looked for an adapter 😅 Thanks
When our next battery dies… def buying this

About time they bring these adapters out

I have a 3D printer but this adapter includes over-discharge circuitry.
Very cool. Well done, practical video. Great job!
Thanks!
Do you have a video on how yo repair or replace the finger trigger red plastic part. Mine is broken. Thanks
Unfortunately, no. I haven't had that issue, yet. 🤞
Excellent

How large is your battery and what model is it? Have you cleaned your filters?

Oh....and filters are cleaned.
@MaryEllenSwigert Return the Powerstack. It's not compatible with adapters. You need a non-powerstack that's at least 3AH, but 4AH or greater is best.
@@TheSleepyCraftsman Thanks so much. I'll follow your advise and let you know how it goes. 😃

You can actually find a 4ah Dewalt battery for under $60 if you're patient.

I believe you to be correct.
Can they do an adapter for a Festools brand tool
Not that I can find. I'm not really surprised since Festool is very high-end.
How to do this with a dyson v7 and a bosch drill battery (Bosch Home and Garden Cordless Combi Drill PSB 1800 LI-2 (2 x 18 volt batteries, 20 torque)
Unfortunately, I can't find an adapter for Bosch PBA batteries.
Hi, can you get the adapter for makita 👍
Yes
Oh my god! 😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮
Does it work for most batteries? I have Porter Cable
The only thing I could find was some limited eBay listings.
sigh. of course i just recycled my dyson after searching for this exact thing for a year.
Story as old as time my friend😅
Does this work for Dyson cyclone v10?
Yes. There are adapters for the v10.
My wife is about to see me deep clean the entire house. It’s no far bros I really want to try this out on my old dyson vacuum I got over 2ish years
