A great review Teddy. I have to agree that Mido should be considered more as a brand in the US as well as Rado in my humble opinion . The Baroncelli is wonderfully understated but elegant and the half polished hands are a great addition to aid readability. I'm not usually a fan of a date at three but this is well executed without slicing the three baton and being black on white. A great dress watch option and certainly worth a look. It's great to hear the slim ETA 2892 movement powers this watch, a proven quality serviceable movement.
Just bought one at half price (new, grey market) w/ the rose gold case. The eggshell texture of the dial is hard to capture in photos, but it's quite eye-catching in person. Looks terrific on black leather (or blue, to match the blued seconds hand), and I have a rose gold Milanese strap on order, which should also look pretty snazzy. Only 41.6 grams, and I love how thin it is. The only thing missing from Mido's offerings is a yellow gold case, which I think would look best of all.
ETA: It does look terrific (and expensive) on a matching Milanese bracelet, which incidentally provides all the micro-adjusting you could ask for. Super-slim, it slides under any shirt cuff - it's my go-to dress watch when "putting on the Ritz." Just flashy enough to be elegant, without Rolex-level glitz.

@@jovancham5706 Generally it's sellers outside the US, selling watches that were (relatively) cheaply bought in their home countries. Check out eBay for many such sellers. You get a new watch, with all it's packaging, but the warranty won't be honored.
Did you get the rose gold version?
I owned this exact model (but on leather) for about a year. It’s incredibly beautiful and thin but unfortunately wears way bigger than 39mm. The case is so flat and there is virtually no bezel on the watch, so the dial looks enormous. I have to disagree that this will work on any wrist. I felt it was way too large for my 6.5” wrist. There is a nearly identical “ladies” version that is 33mm and I would recommend this size if your wrist is around 6.5” or smaller.
Fully agree, bought mine just half a year ago and havent touched it after week 1, the fake dauphine hands are nowhere close to the real thing, it wears like a 39 but looks like a 44. Its finishing is nice & the thinness is cool but it has so many obvious flaws that I dont even like the watch anymore after seeing it in person and wearing it a few times

This is a correct statement. Such a shame it isn't 36-38mm. 39mm is too big for this style of watch, it's too much dial and negative space.
@@TalkingtoGod222 It appears way too big on the wrist due to how flat it is and the fact that it’s all dial with virtually no bezel. It easily wears like a 41-42mm watch despite its 39mm size.

Beautiful watch Teddy, currently in the market to replace an old Tissot quartz dress watch with something automatic. Have been looking at the Oris Artelier Complication but can't find many good videos about it and ADs tend not to have it in-store to try.
Los Tissot son más baratos y de buena calidad, el problema es que emplean el irreparable y plástico Powermatic80 en la mayoría de sus relojes. Por eso MIDO es mucha mejor opción.
I wish they'd centred the 'HERITAGE' on the dial. For me, that spoils a rather nice sort of Bauhaus design watch.
I like the alignment. Because it's in a different font, being offset (to make room for the descending capital B) doesn't offend the eye, and actually (IMO) gives just a bit of interest to the otherwise plain dial. That said, I could live without the date window.
This would look good in grey. The white dial reminds me of popcorn ceiling.

I purchased the 33mm (ladies) version. Couldn't be happier. In my opinion. the 39mm version is a bit too large due to the thinness and ample space on the dial. I think a 35mm version only should’ve been released.

@@leeberis5466 I mentioned that a 35mm version should’ve been released because of the surface area of the dial of the 39mm version. The 39mm looks larger because of the dial design.
You think this 40mm would be ok for my 19,5 cm wrist? If you say surface dial makes it looking appear bigger
Looks identical to my "evertime" watch from Tissot that, I bought last week for $200.
Seems fine from a size standpoint. But just seems boring. I don't love the dial either.

This design has nothing to do with Art Deco. The "steps" look similar to the plintos in the Greek-Latin classic architectural style elements, especially in columns. The new simplified bezel destroyed this beautiful reference.
The design is rather generic and with the white dial and thin bezel it will look much larger than it's physical diameter.
