Yellow Ridge is so fast and long it almost feels like something from the Watershed. There were a few small climbs in this route but most of it was just fun and fast trail riding. I think I saw upper Gutter was going to be part of an upcoming MTB marathon so hopefully it gets some trimming by then.
This and dead women’s hollow are the only sections of Michaux I haven’t rode. I’m for sure ripping wigwam hill and yellow ridge descent (now that I watched this). Probably go ride astronomy and Canadian hollow when I slide up to there, maybe in a couple weeks FYI: ejector (the trail you said I’d like beside bong) is sick! And desination mars (Billy goat you called it 😂) kind of… sucked lol.
@blaine142, this route was so much fun we did this again last weekend and brought more friends with us. If you eat the steep side of the Shed for breakfast, you will appreciate Wigwam Hill, its nuts. Be on the lookout for jibs and gap jumps along the way on Yellow Ridge Descent - they come up on you fast. CH is chill for the first half but is a fast, loose, rocky descent on the 2nd half. Avoid this on a sunny 95 degree day as there is no cover in this area. I tend to like this one better than Astronomy even though the latter is a bit steeper. The last few times I've been down Astronomy there have been trees down which ruined the flow. These are all old school trails in this section and they are mostly official and marked with 4x4 posts, unlike others in the forest. And yeah, compared to all of these, Destination Mars kinda sucks but I'll give the trailbuilders creative points on that one. Thanks for watching!
@@MichauxGravityRiders yeah I watched: definitely saw at least 4 jibs/ jumps in the descent! Looks like a great rip. Thanks for the intel, I’m for sure going up here sooner than later.
When I saw Wigwam descent .....yikes! I remember back in the day carrying our CX bikes up that during the IronCross!
Wow, it was hard to walk down some sections. This is one I'd like to ride again.
Looks like a sick route, I definitely gotta check Yellow Ridge out.

I just rode Wigwam Hill for the first time this past weekend. Should definitely be a double black. That steepness is nuts!
Its surprisingly steep and the difficulty level does not translate on video. Just know your limitations!
