I'm getting an intuos pro M soon! Once I got used to the idea of not looking where I draw (currently using an iPad and 1st gen apple pencil) I was sure it's the right way to go. The ergonomic aspect won me over. Is it more comfortable to have the extra space? I assume the tablets have a mouse mode?
Thanks for the comment. I hear you on being perplexed. When I was starting out in digital art I didnt want to waste my money if I wasnt going to use it. I knew the best was needed so it just came down to saving money until I knew the Cintiq was needed. Glad I went that route and didnt have debt over my head. If you need the Cintiq go for it, just save up. 😁 Have a great Sunday! 😁🌊🤙🌊🎨
Hey awesome video! With the Cintique pro can you hook it up to your computer and draw like you would with the intuos pro or does the computer screen automatically imitate what is going on on the cintique pro device? If that makes sense?
you can imitate the screen and draw like using an intuos pro there's a button for tablet mode on cintiq pro version, non pro versions you can easily unplug the HDMI cable haha. And also cintiq can be a secondary monitor :D you can extend it into second monitor
The Cintiq Pro is a computer monitor that you draw directly onto. You draw on what you are looking at, the screen. The Intuos Pro is a "pad" or "tablet" that you draw on while you are looking at your screen. So with the Intuos Pro you are not looking at your hands while you draw, you are looking at the screen. Hope that helps. 😁🎨
$239... not too shabby... I'll have to check it out. My millions of followers are requesting it!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Seriously though, pretty inexpensive. I'll save up and try to get a review on the next month or two. Thanks for the rec. 😁🌊🤙🎨
I m a little worried about cintiq because many people say the posture when using it is very unhealthy for you neck and back, I think I ll stick with my intuos forever
yes don't upgrade i have a cintiq 22 (the newer gen) and now i am using it like an intuos or tablet mode. Got some pain on my lower back but now it's ok because i am using my cintiq as intuos
Thank you for taking the time to watch my video and commenting. As far as posture and back issues, I have not had any issues. The main thing is to concentrate on sitting up straight, have what you are reading or drawing at eye height, and take breaks every 20-30 minutes to give your back and especially your eyes a rest. I'm 6'1" so I need to put my Cintiq on a stand or a reem of paper to raise it up a little. My right arm gets a bit tired from holding it up so that can be an issue. The main take away is to stretch and not sit in the same position for hours on end. Hope that helps. 🎨😁
Thank you for your time and comment. I really don't see any issues with using any of the monitors, its just about paying attention to posture and taking breaks. Using tablet can be helpful, just remember to keep you arms bent at 90 degrees and don't have your hands up too high. Similar to typing on the keyboard, it can lead to problems. Have a great day and thank you for stopping by. 😁🎨
Great advice! I have been using an Intuos Pro medium for about 6 years. Been considering upgrading to a Cintiq or possibly an XP-Pen display tablet. You gave a lot of good points to consider, so thanks for that. You mentioned drawing on a Samsung tablet. Which Samsung tablet is it and how have you found that experience? Is it worth the cost of the tablet?
Thanks for the view and comment. I use the Galaxy Tab S4 and find that it is fine. I draw on Sketchbook Pro time for time and mostly use it for photo reference when oil painting. The pen works great and I have fun with it. I feel its worth the money if you are just looking to save some dough, and don't want to jump straight into a Cintiq. Let me know if you have any questions. Kind Regards.
@@SteneArtStudios Awesome, thanks for the great info. I was thinking of a tablet to use as an occasional mobile sketchbook. Since it would only be occasional I didn't want to fork out the money for an IPad Pro either so though if maybe the Samsung tablet is less expensive and worked well enough I could go that route. My main setup I will keep my Intuos Pro for now and then upgrade that in the somewhat near future to a Cintiq or one of the XP-Pen offerings.
No problem at all. For me it came down to wanting the tablet but not wanting to waste money if I wasn't going to end up using it. I'm more of a Samsung person than iPad but everyone is different. In the end I feel it just comes down to saving $$$. If you end up not using it to draw with you can use it to watch movies, play games, skype, watch movies (I now I said that already but I use it alot to watch movies as well hahah), or use it for references while painting (so much better than print out, all the pros use screens, like TV screens. i.e., Ceasar Santos, and Jeremy Lipking. Before passing Richard Schmid used Apple Monitors for his reference photos while painting. Google these guys... so good). Or you can just resell it if you don't use it. The main thing is it is definitely a cheaper option than Cintiq if you are working up to that. Also even when you get the cintiq you'll still use the tablet or iPad. I still do. I still have my intuous pro and plan on upgrading. If you end up getting the product let me know and I'll put up an updated affiliate link. The one's in the description are old and don't go to my account. Appreciate all the support. Have a great weekend.

def hard to decide if you want a cintiq or a intuos.. I've been drawing on a normal tablet for years and I've never really thought about how a screen would improve my experience... but I do want a screen... or do I ? I wish I knew someone so I could just try it myself before deciding... also on a completely unrelated note, I feel like you can do a mean John Malkovich impression for some reason.
"and in my club, I will splash the pot, whenever, the #@$! I please." 🤣🤣 Thanks for the view and taking time to comment. Drawing directly on the screen really improves the experience. It was hard pulling the trigger on my Cintiq but I had the cash and wash working gigs. I never regretted the purchase. If you draw regularly, are working to improve, and have a goal of selling art you won't regret it either. Have a great week. 🌊🤙🎨
Thanks for watching and the awesome comment. I will have to check out the Huion, I'm hearing a lot about it now since posting this video. I'll try it out and let you know what I think. Now I need to find some 🍞🍞. Isnt it always like that. Hahaha Thanks again and when I try it out I'll let you know. Have a great week. 🎨🌊🤙
Huion and XP pen both are useless. Their display sucks. I sold Huion kamvas 24 pro after use of 6 months as a professional digital artist, and again switch back to Intuos large.
I don't consider the Cintiq an upgrade, once I got used to the Intuos Pro Large I ain't going back to my Cintiq.
The large is the way to go!

After reading this comment I get what Amy is asking now. Thanks for taking the time in answering and watching my video. Have a great day. 🎨😁
Mike has a good model head for drawing. You can see all the features easily.
Thanks for the kind words and taking time to watch my video and commenting.
What about huion kamvas 13 inch ?
I'm starting to hear a lot about Huion now. I'm going to have to check this out!! Thanks for the recommendation, I'll let you know how it goes. 🎨🌊🤙
@@SteneArtStudios Ok i will check if you did or not 😎😎😎😎😂.
I def will. Just need to get the 🍞🍞.

@@SteneArtStudios great 👍👍.
I live in Pleasanton too! We should meet up sometime. What do you think about the Kamvas 13 compared to the Intuos Pro? Is it a better value?
I haven't seen that but will definitely check it out. Thank you for the views and taking time to comment. 🌊🤙🎨

@@SteneArtStudios raising cintiq like you're painting is a bit tiring on my shoulder. Rn I am using an intuos pro and I am enjoying it
