    Don't like how you were so negative in this video. Made it worse when I scrolled through the comments only to find your arrogance and vulgar communication with your fans. While the food may have been pricey, you were paying for the experience and authenticity. Hope you learned from this experience.

    Definitely pricey, but I do not agree with the complaints about how u hate cooking your own meet, peeling shrimp, and getting the seafood out of shells. Korean cuisine is very social, and the whole cooking own meat, and "working for your food" is a part of the Korean (or Asian in general) food experience. I am not Asian and know that. Its all about the experience. And why end the episode by telling people not to go there at all. I just didn't like that you would tell other people not to go to a restaurant when you should know more about the whole cuisine.

      @jackonthego  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Mahmoud Nadi I love cooking my own meet. You can't peel shrimp in boiling soup or get the seafood out. You'll scald yourself. Funny how Italians serve you open shells and peeled shrimp in their food. It's cheaper for them not to use peeled shrimp.

    • @jackonthego
      @jackonthego  9 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      ethankegley stop agreeing with everyone knocking me. If you think about it you NEVER peel shrimp in BOILING SOUP. It's unheard of. So let's not just agree without thinking. You also can't unshell shrimp in the same soup. Places that use unpeeled shrimp are cheap and we paid top dollar. Put the pieces together before you slam me for my review. We were forced to spend $50 on meat at the table to get a cooking top. REALLY? not one KBBQ in CA ever did that. I've been to many great KBBQs in CA. This place was a dump and I stand by my review.

    • @jackonthego
      @jackonthego  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      1. you never mentioned how some cultures eat the shell and all on the shrimp.
      2. The cooked beef was dry. The chicken was flavorless. The kimchi was just basic. There was no reason these prices should be that high. The meat she had was not even close to $50 worth. That video was around $!60 for everyone. There's no friggin way you can say that was worth it.
      3. I have no problem cooking my meat.
      4. no KBBQ I've ever been to requires a minimum to sit at a burner table. The ones I go to have burners on all sides. And they are Koreans that run it.
      5. So your telling me Koreans in LA, Vegas and San Diego are all doing it wrong? I doubt that. I'm sure they didn't forget how to run a restaurant once they got off the plane in America.
      This isn't about my cultural knowledge. BTW, Taiwan is not Korea. Go to Orange County on Garden Grove Blvd. It's called Little Seoul for a reason. They all live there and do business there and shop there.

      Steve Valeriano Well he made kimchi himself so he would know man, make a first time episode on kimichi and becomes an expert on it, then call kimichi in a Korean restaurant "basic".

    I'm perfectly fine with the honest review. But the large amount of racist comments before you even sit down, that really gets on my nerves Jack. I've been watching your videos for a long time and this is the first time i've ever commented on a video because of how uncalled for those comments were. I hope all these other comments really open your eyes about how rude you were being.

    Jack I'm a fan of your shows and both your channel but this is your most offensive show you made. I was not there at that restaurant or have eaten there so if you say the service wasn't good or food was mediocre then I take your word for it. You review restaurants and food for a living so I get it. Your jokes were tasteless. Your not a comedian so stick to what you know.

    I'm from Dallas and currently live in Houston where there are an abundance of Korean BBQ places similar to this Seoul Garden restaurant. The prices were a bit higher than what I'm used to paying but you have to justify that Dallas and Houston are metropolitan cities with huge populations of Korean people/more diverse backgrounds whereas you're in Nashville, TN so of course the price is going to be a bit higher. It's not outrageously expensive in my opinion. Korean BBQ will always be a special occasion kind of place. And the whole schtick about hate peeling your own shrimp...? Really? Pure laziness on your part. I agree service was probably lacking as most asian restaurants are notorious for that. But I don't think you came into this restaurant with an open mind or intentions of even giving them a good review.

    • @jackonthego
      @jackonthego  9 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Tien Nguyen not laziness. it's cheap shrimp when it's unpeeled. That little bit of beef was NOT worth $50. It's a dump and a rip off. I don't peel any shrimp in boiling soups. Not sure why anyone would

      Jack On The Go Show most asians eat shrimp with shell and all

    • @Cenotaff
      @Cenotaff 9 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      Jack On The Go Show It's not cheap at all, most of the flavour is in the shell's. Conveniently peeled, de-viened shrimp is a mass produced western thing. It's slightly messy but the shells will come off easy if they're cooked fresh and you get to suck the heads which is the bit with the most flavour! No idiot would put their fingers into boiling soup. Anyone with a brain would take the shrimp out, leave a few mins, peel, put back into the soup, suck the brains and shells for all their worth and then by that time the soup would have dropped in temp to be nice to eat along with your peeled shrimps having enjoyed the tasty shells.

    Jack, how did you know at that particular moment that no one would get food poisoning? We had a case of it once many many years ago. We had no idea what made us sick as we didn't show any symptoms until hours after we ate the tainted chicken. Took a doctor to tell us we'd eaten something bad.

    In LA, or even Las Vegas (Where I live and they have a great Chinatown) the prices are much lower. $25 for all you can eat per person. But in TN, you don't have a lot of Asians or a good Chinatown. That's probably why the prices are high.

    This thread of comments is a good example of what is wrong with social media. There is nothing wrong with criticism however many people post as if they are perfect and never make any kind of mistake. It's very easy to be a critic on social media. Heck half the people criticising Jack On The Go Show are making stereotype remarks about Jack, just because he didn't like peeling seafood (a valid complaint IMO). Out of the 100s of reviews he's done, he has been nothing but polite even when he didn't like the food. Give him a break.
