Hi bits alumni (I don't know your name)please don't ignore, it's gonna be long. I got 94.96 percentile in Jee mains and 190 score in bitsat(I could get msc. physics). I do have other options like going to local college through ts eamcet 3k rank(state examination) in which I could get a college which has an average package of 7-8LPA. My parent income is around 5.5lpa and I'm looking forward to get the sbi scholarship loan in bits (which provide you upto 50 lakhs of loan without collateral). I'm really interested in coming to bits. I've researched everything about dual degree, saw almost every post in quora about dual degree, I calculated the total fees, asked many bitsians about required cgpa to get cs as dual required and many more. Now I know what it takes to be a cs holder as a dualite and I'm ready to sacrifice my first year. Now if I get good cgpa say 8.5-8.6, then I could get cs and 40% scholarship is mcn, I could even try for 80% mcn which would reduce the fees to as low as an eamcet college would take. I don't have a better option which is as good as bits. So my doubt is that is it worth taking the loan? Or join in ts eamcet. Considering the facts: Fees: EamcetEamcet Campus: Bits > eamcet Facilities: Bits>eamcet Peer: Bits ~ eamcet Scholarship: Bits >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> eamcet (almost nil) (Note: my parents are happy to send me to any college).

@@Bunny-rp3xf i scored 190 in the bits and unfortunately didnt get a seat since the cutoff was around 205. so i joined ts eamcet (vnrvjiet). I had an other option of going towards jee (nit manipur cse) but it's way too far. If distance doesn't matter, then you could choose nit (although both colleges have similar statistics about placement and all, just you would get nit tag). Try to get above 230 in next attempt for bits and you would be confirmed a seat. Goodluck
Bits hyderabad cs fees is 37-40 lakhs.. Yes roi is important but while taking admissions children also have to consider these priorities as everyone won't be getting dream package due to economic crash.. Even roi of iit is decreasing now so now it's high time to face realities too for all youth out there
Mere bete ko 249 firt attempt me aaye hai wo cs karna chahta hai par itane mark me nahi milegi to dual digree kai se opt kar te hay is ke bare me ek video banao to hamari help ho jayegi
Haan, agar wo mehnat krne ke liye ready hai toh wo aaram se dual leke cse kr skta hai! but agar uske 249 hain, 2nd attempt mein jorr laga dega toh single degree cse bhi mil sakti hai! baaki video main bana dunga.
@@Prerna-vj5vu there is package but you have to the best for core placement! Good CG is also important, and haan a lot of peope get good packages in core here! It all depends on how much you can utilise the brand value of BITS! Fore core prefer pilani campus
