- The highly touted redshirt freshman connected on 25 of 27 pass attempts for a total of 356 yards and four passing touchdowns. Winston also had 8 carries for 25 yards and a touchdown on the ground. The Florida State Seminoles defeated the Pittsburgh Panthers 41-13.

I was at this game . Drove down to Pitt from a My dumpy hometown of New Castle . The Nole fan base was everywhere. More than pitt fans . Also Having pitt play in a nfl stadium is flat wrong . They try to use it as a positive to recruits . No good .!! The stadium is half hour ( traffic ) from campus . And campus is in a city atmosphere. Also NO Good . Not revamping old pitt stadium was mistake . I mean if places like wrigley and other places are so precious?? Why does colleges have to be filled with loges. Over kill. The days of Dorsett & Jones & others are missed .
