National Champion, the youngest Heisman winner ever, 2x Conference Champion, 26-1 as a starter, NCAA Record most TD's thrown as a freshman, lead the offense that scored the most points in a single season ( NCAA Record ), broke multiple school records previously held by National Champion and Heisman winners Charlie Ward and Chris Weinke, undefeated vs Miami and Florida, part of a 29-game winning streak...one of, if not the best College Football QB of all time
kalebpost20 stop it dude just give the man his props man he's one of the best if not the best QB's of all time ! and to be getting beat down the way they were in the national championship game against auburn and against all of the punk as racist commentators and sports writers as well as the haters and the racist on social media ! to deal with all of the negative energy and still come back to win the national championship is a story book finish . # this is the kind of finish Legends.are made of
despite being a mariota fan, i have to say that jameis is by far the most nfl ready quarterback. best thing i see with him is is pocket presence and how he goes through his reads, even on the run he is still going through his reads. But honestly what it will ultimately come down to is how good their o line will be in the nfl. jameis always seemed poised in the pocket because his line was legit in college. kind of the same with mariota and their up tempo offense. O lines make and break quarterbacks, especially in their first year. But i like both quarterbacks and i hope it works out for them
WInston could be a hall of famer with the right pieces around him. He is just a natural with playing within the pocket and he plays with excellent anticipation.
Bugsy0508 trust me that will not matter with a player this good. No way in hell the steelers will have a chance at Winston. Remember Cam Newton? He had off the field issues too, but he was still taken 1st overall by a team in desperate need of a QB and has done great
He's not afraid to let the ball go. He's going to make a lot of throws most rookies wouldnt make..which is going to have some positive and some negative results.
Jameis Winston. Born January 6, 1994. Played high school football for the Hueytown (AL) Golden Gophers. Played college football for the Florida State Seminoles. Won the 2013 Heisman Trophy. Drafted #1 in the 2015 NFL Draft by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Well, at least he doesn't have to travel too far to his next job. Best of luck.
Outside of Andrew Luck, this guy is the most NFL ready QB in a long while. His football IQ has been said to rival Peyton Manning. Cannon for an arm, great accuracy, and plays in a more complex pro style offense (EJ. Manuel said Fisher's offense was more complex than the Bills). Great size and he has enough mobility to evade pass rushers even on the level of Beasley. Can throw on the run, fit passes into tight windows, and has great touch (ex. he can lay the ball over an LB and under a safety). He looks like an NFL QB in these highlights. The Bucs already have the twin towers at WR, so he should be ready to put on a show year one.
this dude is legit. throws with anticipation DOWN THE FIELD... alos throws with great touch, tough as nails, very athletic, improvisational... accuracy is there... negatives are his feet at times and he gets a little sand lot with stuff but wow. this dude is legit!
This guy is the real deal....pure definition of a QB.. i wouldn't care if he was blue, green or tangerine, all i know is he has that "It" factor that can't be taught
before the college season ended, i was praying that MM would enter the draft because my buccaneers have the first overall pick. i was also praying that they didnt choose JW. since then i have completely changed me views. i was biased as an oregon fan. theres something that JW has that MM doesnt. he has the confidence that you need for the nfl. his decision-making skills are all there, and weve seen him throw into tight windows. we havent seen MM throw into many windows, and im not saying that he cant-im just saying that we dont know if he can. MM could be amazing in the nfl but we cant know for sure yet because we havent seen him in a pro-style offense. JW has proved himself and i will be ordering my JW tampa bay jersey soon.
Jim Walker To be clear, of the five listed, only three were drafted by the schmucs, and those were mediocre QB's...at best. Point being, the schmucs are adept at choosing mostly-terrible, if not serviceable, QB's. Historically, they're miserable talent evaluators. I hope Winston goes to a team willing to put some talent around him. That ain't happenin' with the schmucs.
You guys may disagree but I believe Jameis Winston and Leonard Williams the DL out of USC are best 2 prospects in 2015 draft. Besides off the field, my issue with Winston is methodical slow delivery and he will force sum throws in very tight windows. Other than that best college QB NFL ready since Andrew Luck
GO NOLES!!!!!! im a die hard FSU fan jaylynn ramsy is my favorite player it sucks that we lost to Oregon but you have to give them credit for going undefeated for 2 years and jameis winston getting a heiseman trophy
He's my fantasy team's backup behind Kendrick Lamar. I heard somebody said off my TV that they hoped that they could muster the courage that Winston has after throwing his fifth interception. I got $500 riding. Week 17. Truth is I love watching him. If you don't know how you know.
The next Cam Newton. Reminds me of him because of his play and off field issues but it turned for the best for Cam maybe same with Winston. Winston might be the number 1 pick
Number one overall pick in my mind. No question. Playing in a pro style system and not being a dual threat run all over the fucking place player like Mariota helps him. Nobody would question this were it not for the off the field bullshit.
doug martin is a pretty good running back, last season was kinds shitty but the year before that he was a top 5 back. winston will have a good rb and two elite 6'5 receivers. the bucs offense is gonna be pretty good if their o-line can hold up so winston can make the throw
It's weird how so many people want to call Jameis a rapist when he was investigated and tried 3 different times local , federal and the FSU student council and was found NOT guilty of anything. He was NEVER charged or arrested for rape. However a lot people think he did committed a crime? We're you there when said crime was committed ? NO !
Here's why he is better 1-Gpa average 4 2-Football IQ is great 3-He threw in tight windows 4-He can win 5-He is a leader Stop holding this boy for the past You guys here investigate and say he's guilty just stop it already.. Stop denying the fact that he is a good person, a great football player, and a leader. Give him some credit damn.
my amatuer scouting report i would say [rating key: (p=poor, bavg= below average, avg =average ,a.avg= above average , g=good, vg =very good ,e=excellent , g=great ,s=surerior )] ; arm strength (vg),release (vg), feet(e), mobility(vg), pocket awareness (g), arm mechanics (bavg), field vision (e) ,intangibles (e), i see a nice ability to move in the pocket with a great ability to get out of the grasp jameis has a pretty big hitch in his arm mechanics but his release is not slow so he has the ability to make up for his deficiency he seems to make the right decision most of the time however he got away with some pretty terrible reads I'm a little concerned about this at the next level that said if jameis has no off field issues i believe he has the tools to succeed but needs to tighten up his mechanics and clean up his decision making and he could be a star !
Man I'm speechless that kid made 30 yard throws falling down! Not to mention Oregon expose jamies Winston carrying that that team on his back n shoulders! How many come from behind wins? 6! That's awesome! That 35 reminds me if a slow Jason witten! The football God! Jamies Winston is the sh#t!
Grown man in a FSU uniform. Lots of tight throws (some a little aired out.) Decent instincts as to sliding and getting rid of the ball when pressure is approaching. Looks like linebackers are either missing too often when he scrambles out of the pocket, who knows maybe these guys don't want to tackle this guy full force. His pocket presence is shaky and he has a habit of first reads then of course scrambling out the pocket/exposing himself to DE's and LB's. He'd be a perfect project for a franchise willing to wait to groom him for at least a year. Sounds unrealistic but starting him late in the season would be ideal also. The NFL will humble this guy just like others.
Johnny Manuel in college was a beast and everybody expected that the Browns got a steal look at him now.Jameis Winston tho everybody thought that's how he would end up and no w he's helping out the community and is good in the NFL and should've won rookie if the year cuz Todd gurley sucks but whatever
I like his ability to run, but he was to know when to run out, slide and still look down the field while he is scrambaling, if he can work on that he can be a bigger threat and injury free. I also notice that their was little if any pressure on him, he's o line looked really good in this video. His accuracy seems to be a little off, some pass looked under thrown, I wanna see him under some real pressure and see how he passes the.
For Yves m those who truly believe that he will be a bust, give a good valid reason why. He has all the intangibles to be great. Off the field issues are the only problem I see with Jameis but, that can be resolved when it comes to being a pro.
not related to the video really but at 0:58 you can sing "denver, denver broncos. denver broncos. denver denver denver denver denver" to the lead violin that kicks in. you could also sing houston texans or something like buffa buffalo bills buffalo bills buffa buffa buffa buffa buffa
hisaoawesome That is the throw that caught my eye too. There are a lot of impressive throws in here where he fires it in there but that touch pass to the only spot in the end zone was really impressive.
1:00 he holds the ball for a second more to find his outside receiver exploiting the broken coverage and that's an easy TD. Lol great QB though...As a UM fan hard to admit >_>.
seems like every year the buccaneers has high expectations to become a playoff team, but year after year they find a way to disappoint, hopefully this will be the end, and they choose Jameis Winston
I think Winston will be a much better pro than Mariota. Mariota is a pure read/option system QB and takes most of his snaps in the shotgun. The only thing about Winston that scares you off is that he maybe be a prima donna, but the NFL caliber talent is there. This guy can be a Donovan McNabb type player, who was a top 5 QB at a point of his career. At worst, a Steve McNair who was one of my favorite players.
If the Bucs don't take him for some reason the Titans have to draft Winston. Closest thing to McNair and almost nothing like Vince. He's hard to bring down and he's tough as nails. Only serious off-the field problem is the rape accusation, but after three tries, he's never been charged. 26-1 is no joke.
Winston is probably the best QB prospect this year, but overall I just don't see him becoming anything more than a just above average NFL QB. To compare to the best QB draft in recent history (2012) he doesn't have the pinpoint accuracy and leadership abilities that Andrew Luck has, or the athleticism and deep pass abilities that Russell Wilson has, or even the legwork that RGIII had when he was effective. If Winston was part of that draft, he probably wouldn't get picked until the 3rd or 4th round at best.
I strongly disagree. Winston is a pocket-passer to start off, so you can't compare him to mobile quarterbacks in the aspects that you are. Watching this highlight video, Winston has incredible awareness; he always has an idea of what he wants to do with the ball. He is aware of his own capabilities, as in when to throw the ball, how to throw it, how fast he can deliver it, all in which he does in an amazing amount of time for a college quarterback. He has great poise in the pocket, along with being elusive and mentally tough (being able to escape a certain sack and then keep the play alive). He has the physical traits you like for in a quarterback for height and weight, and can absorb hits. What makes him the best quarterback in recent years is his confidence and awareness of his own abilities. That being said, good quarterbacks in college that win lots of games tend to get into a mindset where they feel like they can't lose, and when they make it to the NFL they have a tough time accustoming to losses and moving forward from them, and that's where you can question his character (which as we know is 50/50 at best lol). In my opinion Winston is ready to go and will thrive in the NFL.
TheBand360 I wasn't comparing him to mobile qbs in particular, just saying that I don't think he has that one factor to his game that sets him apart as a great NFL qb. He's a good pocket passer, but not a great one imo. His confidence and poise as you say is undeniable, but he's also reckless with the ball. Many of his passes into traffic in this highlight reel would have gotten picked off by any NFL-grade safety or corner. His overconfidence is going to make him think he can make the same plays, and have the same kind of time in the pocket, in the NFL. And that's just not the case. Take Andrew Luck as an example of a great pocket passer. If you look at his highlight reel from his college career, he puts the ball EXACTLY where it needs to be. He doesn't throw the ball into traffic and hope that it's his receiver, and not the defense, that comes up with the ball. That's not to say he doesn't have the skills to be a solid starting qb someday, but it's going to take a lot of work both on and off the field (like you mentioned, his character leaves a lot to be desired lol) I just don't think he's gonna be as effective as Luck, at least not his rookie year, maybe not ever. It's gonna be a long road for Winston either was, I guess we'll just have to see what path he takes.
I really like your response! I will say though his confidence is not to be confused with arrogance, he has an impeccable understanding of his own skills and delivering the football exactly where it needs to be. Like you mentioned, I did see a few plays during the highlight video where I was like ehhh that was close and could have been picked off in the NFL maybe, but what's going to make or break Winston is his ability to bounce back from mistakes and maintain his poise and confidence, because he is a starter in this league for sure. He doesn't have incredible arm strength, it's probably just a bit better than Alex Smith, but it's his timing and delivery, he understands what he is capable of and doesn't force plays to happen. I was watching a few days ago on the NFL network Cam Newton was chatting on the sideline like oh my god I don't even know how I made that play; with Winston, he knows what he is capable of. If the Buccaneers don't draft him it would be the biggest mistake in franchise history in my opinion. Winston can step into that offense and lead them to a winning record, and in the NFC South that's all you need to win the division haha :P
TheBand360 Haha, that's true about the NFC South, and since McGown got released today, we can pretty much count on Winston being a Buc in 2015. As for everything else, I guess we'll have to wait and see. Everything is basically just conjecture at this point, but I think we both agree that he has the raw skills to be a good QB. How he develops those skills will determine whether he is great or average.
This draft reminds me of the Andrew luck vs RG3 draft Except Rg3 won the heisman Rg3 was the better ATHLETE Like Mariota is the better ATHLETE but The differences are Mariota product of the system Jameis Makes his own plays He is the better NFL PROSPECTS But isn't the better athlete
You can't compare Winston to Luck. Luck was and is something special. You look at the tape on him, and he puts the ball EXACTLY where it needs to be so that only his receiver can catch it. Winston had a great college career, but his skills simply won't translate to the NFL without huge adjustments. Too often does he just throw the ball in traffic where a great corner or safety can make a play on the ball. At least 40-50% of the plays in this video would have been picks in the NFL. Winston reminds me more of Cam Newton, which isn't bad, but he's gonna need a lot of work just like Cam does.
natrone23 True, Newton relies more on his legs than Winston does. But the way they throw to ball seems very similar to me, and because they're both big, strong guys, they're hard to bring down. The thing about Winston to me is, he seems far too reckless with the ball, and that's something that can potentially (and probably will) hurt him in the NFL.
That's very possible, but its just looked like his basic mechanics were just way off. Plus Cam has always had a penchant for overthrowing his receivers a bit, so he definitely needs work in his passing game. Let's see how he does this year
I really wish Cardale Jones entered the draft. I honestly think he would have been the most successful qb from his class in the nfl. Over Mariota and Winston.
Chill, he wants to finish all 4 years of college and then go up for the draft. Besides 2 heisman trophy winners are going up this year, QB position needs some chill this draft.
National Champion, the youngest Heisman winner ever, 2x Conference Champion, 26-1 as a starter, NCAA Record most TD's thrown as a freshman, lead the offense that scored the most points in a single season ( NCAA Record ), broke multiple school records previously held by National Champion and Heisman winners Charlie Ward and Chris Weinke, undefeated vs Miami and Florida, part of a 29-game winning streak...one of, if not the best College Football QB of all time
Of all time ? Nah man Jamarcus Russel , whoops I ment Jameis Winston is a great QB but he's not the best QB of all time college history .
Bill Mitchell Stats say otherwise
Don't forget about Kellen Moore!
kalebpost20 stop it dude just give the man his props man he's one of the best if not the best QB's of all time ! and to be getting beat down the way they were in the national championship game against auburn and against all of the punk as racist commentators and sports writers as well as the haters and the racist on social media ! to deal with all of the negative energy and still come back to win the national championship is a story book finish . # this is the kind of finish Legends.are made of

Very well said Sir. I admire Mariotta as well, even as a 'Nole.
layziehorse72 😐😕
Hey Im from the future he plays for the bucs and he's actually pretty bad.
Klapzz boy you so lame.
Klapzz he’s not bad, he’s the football equivalent to an average madden player
WInston could be a hall of famer with the right pieces around him. He is just a natural with playing within the pocket and he plays with excellent anticipation.
I mean the 2013 he was basically with a nfl team 😂 hopefully the bucs take him !
The steelers may have to take him, ben's contract is up after next year
Spurs/Kings/Seahawks Fan but remember other teams may not want his background lol
Bugsy0508 trust me that will not matter with a player this good. No way in hell the steelers will have a chance at Winston. Remember Cam Newton? He had off the field issues too, but he was still taken 1st overall by a team in desperate need of a QB and has done great
RayZon97 good point...
Awesome video!!! Jameis is the best qb in college hands down.. No one else compares!! Watched him since day 1 against Pitt.. DO IT BIG
Didn't think I would say this young man is the best QB to ever play for my beloved 'Noles, but, he is.
This is the type of QB i'd draft...confident,great arm, excellent scrambling, intelligent, maybe throws into too tight of a window sometimes.
I just love the video, perfect instrumental. Even tho Jameis has made mistakes, you cannot deny he's a great QB, extremely accurate with a good IQ.
I like how he can still complete his passes while under pressure. That's Something you can't teach.
He's not afraid to let the ball go. He's going to make a lot of throws most rookies wouldnt make..which is going to have some positive and some negative results.
Like if you know Johnny manziel was a bust
Ok I don't care
thefinalecam You failed so hard, regardless of your "lack of caring".
I got more subs then both of u combined
Steve Wyer like take shitty pictures?
Lol like beating off to lingerie football
Jameis Winston. Born January 6, 1994. Played high school football for the Hueytown (AL) Golden Gophers. Played college football for the Florida State Seminoles. Won the 2013 Heisman Trophy. The most athletically skilled QB to ever play at FSU. Can't wait to go see him play in Tampa!
Number 35
The TE or fullback appears to be never wearing gloves and he's catching rockets!
I read he ran a 4.9 40 and still nearly had a 99 yard TD (~70YAC)
This guy is the real deal....pure definition of a QB.. i wouldn't care if he was blue, green or tangerine, all i know is he has that "It" factor that can't be taught
I'm sold. Those are NFL throws. Bucs need this guy.
GOAT!
Crazy how well Jameis deals with somebody in his face. Stands tall and throws strikes even when he knows he's about to get hit.
before the college season ended, i was praying that MM would enter the draft because my buccaneers have the first overall pick. i was also praying that they didnt choose JW. since then i have completely changed me views. i was biased as an oregon fan. theres something that JW has that MM doesnt. he has the confidence that you need for the nfl. his decision-making skills are all there, and weve seen him throw into tight windows. we havent seen MM throw into many windows, and im not saying that he cant-im just saying that we dont know if he can. Tim Hudson LOL turns out the opposite happened....Jameis turned out to be painfully average and mariota turned out to be alright.....
Alot of tight windows!
Love Jameis. He goes to the bucs and see how fast I buy a jersey. But would like to see another year of him as a Nole.
Never happen. TB's too stupid to pick him. They'll select Mariota, another Josh Freeman in the making.
*****
Yeah I hope TB doesn't pick Mariota. NYJ and TB- where young QB's go to die... :(
Steve Kelly
You mean like:
1) Doug Williams
2) Steve Young
3) Vinny Testaverde
4) Trent Dilfer
5) Brad Johnson
Jon Snow
Do you actually watch football? I mean not the one with the round ball.
Jim Walker To be clear, of the five listed, only three were drafted by the schmucs, and those were mediocre QB's...at best. They didn't just lose they got fucked up
Oregon fan
Yeah and y'all don't have him anymore he's entering the nfl draft and to become a Tennessee Titan
scalenenumber85 Bucs will take him first overall. Who else would they take? (unless they trade down, but that's pretty unlikely)
Oh is that why mariota is projected to be #1 pick get your facts right dumbass yucs fan
This video was done masterfully. Great job!
I like the way he fires it in the seam and throws sideline passes.
He's my fantasy team's backup behind Kendrick Lamar. I heard somebody said off my TV that they hoped that they could muster the courage that Winston has after throwing his fifth interception. I got $500 riding. Week 17. Truth is I love watching him. If you don't know how you know.
Freaking Great Video. Thanks for doing that for us!
The next Cam Newton. Reminds me of him because of his play and off field issues but it turned for the best for Cam maybe same with Winston. Winston might be the number 1 pick
He has skills, awarness from the pocket and he makes a lot of NFL style throws(tight windows).
love it I've been a fan of jaboo since he played baseball in college
He got aome beast WRs but that QB is real real strong! Hope he'll do good in the NFL
The song is called lux aeterna. It is from the movie requiem for a dream.
Winston may be the GOAT nole. We are gonna miss him.
i like the batman music that starts around 6 minutes in lol
Awesome video, good job producer.
Not an fsu fan, but jameis will be a legend
Number one overall pick in my mind. No question. Playing in a pro style system and not being a dual threat run all over the fucking place player like Mariota helps him. Nobody would question this were it not for the off the field bullshit.
this guy plays the pocket beautifully
The song name is lux auterna from the movie requiem for a dream

I don't see why people say he sucks, like you don't go 29-1 as a starter and suck. And he clutches up when it matters.

FACT: Bitches always try to bring down the greats
Here's why he is better
1-Gpa average 4
2-Football IQ is great
3-He threw in tight windows
4-He can win
5-He is a leader
Stop holding this boy for the past
You guys here investigate and say he's guilty just stop it already..
Stop denying the fact that he is a good person, a great football player, and a leader. Give him some credit damn.

His throwing form is hella funny
Imagine this guy slinging the rock to Vincent Jackson and Mike Evans, with Doug Martin out the backfield. Jeez
best QB of the 2000s
Can't say that yet but so far my prediction is that he'll have a hall of fame career
Good example on how the linemen are under appreciated in this game, Look at this highlights again but this time watch the line.
I like his ability to run, but he was to know when to run out, slide and still look down the field while he is scrambaling, if he can work on that he can be a bigger threat and injury free. @7:07 the play that I show people when they say jaboo cant run
Mariota can't make half of these throws. 75% of Mariota's passing yards have come after the catch. Winston is ready for the NFL.
What's the name of the first song ?
If he had stayed for another 2 years with Dalvin Cook fully evolved into the beast we know today, we would've won a natty
That's a good quarter back
first song is requiem for a dream-clint mansell
What's the name of that song ???
1:00 he holds the ball for a second more to find his outside receiver exploiting the broken coverage and that's an easy TD. Lol great QB though...As a UM fan hard to admit >_>.
seems like every year the buccaneers has high expectations to become a playoff team, but year after year they find a way to disappoint, hopefully this will be the end, and they choose Jameis Winston
Can anyone tell me the name of this song??
leagues ahead of Mariota as a QB
Stop hating he is over criticized and and is a beast so stop hating im tryna tell ya flordia state we bringing our swag back
Song at beginning???!!!
What is the name of the song
He has the poise to win
What's the song called
TheBand360 you stress are absolutely right sir
8:00 is the greatest throw I have seen in my entire life.
A close second is 9:07.
But maybe 10:18.
This draft reminds me of the
Andrew luck vs RG3 draft
Except Rg3 won the heisman
Rg3 was the better ATHLETE
Like Mariota is the better ATHLETE but
The differences are
Mariota product of the system
Jameis Makes his own plays
He is the better NFL PROSPECTS
But isn't the better athlete
You can't compare Winston to Luck. Luck was and is something special. You look at the tape on him, and he puts the ball EXACTLY where it needs to be so that only his receiver can catch it. Winston had a great college career, but his skills simply won't translate to the NFL without huge adjustments. Too often does he just throw the ball in traffic where a great corner or safety can make a play on the ball. At least 40-50% of the plays in this video would have been picks in the NFL. Winston reminds me more of Cam Newton, which isn't bad, but he's gonna need a lot of work just like Cam does.
Ryan Kosior Only thing Winston and Cam have in common is they are big black quarterbacks, Winston is much much more polished passer than Newton.
natrone23 True, Newton relies more on his legs than Winston does.
Let's see how he does this year
JT Nelson Newton is a pretty inaccurate passer.. He overthrows alot
Title should be Jameis Winston and Kelvin Benjamin Highlights
What's the song???
Winston was actually better this year. Making a lot more difficult throws
Whats the songs name
what song is this
And the first pick of the 2015 nfl draft... Regardless
I think he's good but damn look at that protection in the pocket. Hope Tampa can protect him like FSU
jameis winston was doing go in college but now he started to slip because his team was not as good as it was last year
Receiver jersey #1 is too clutch
Kelvin Benjamin my friend
what's this song
I really wish Cardale Jones entered the draft. I honestly think he would have been the most successful qb from his class in the nfl. Over Mariota and Winston.
Chill, he wants to finish all 4 years of college and then go up for the draft. Besides 2 heisman trophy winners are going up this year, QB position needs some chill this draft.
***** Cardale is overrated just has crazy weapons around him
JAMEIS IS WHAT THE BUCS NEED BUT NOT THE QB IT DESERVES.
1:36 Holding: offense, Nr. 77
why in the world does this song remind me of spiderman😂😂😂
The music is creepy as hell. I think I once heard it in a slender man conspiracy video.
