A Pope every 7 or 8 years on average is still somewhat surprising to me! I guess it's because they tend to be appointed at an old age.
@@JonathanSharman yeah, the vast majority of Popes have been elected well into their middle age or older. There are 9 popes who reigned for less than a month and only 4 who reigned longer than 25 years. And 3 of those guys were in the last 150 years.
