Trying to decide on my next purchase, really curious about the leather folios. I really want to know if it can fold backwards, please bring one on the podcast and do a deep dive with it!

Overall, I like the website design. It’s straightforward and easy to navigate, and the pictures and videos of the products are really well done. My only feedback is that it might be nice to have a “pre-engraving” section in the drop-down menu. I really like some of the pre-engravings but wouldn’t know that’s something you offer if I hadn’t originally stumbled on it a few weeks ago.
I appreciate the feedback. You are absolutely right. The pre-engraving listings needed a lot of overhaul (old color we don't sell, hardware that isn't up to date, wrong pricing, etc.) so we psuedo hid them while they are getting updated. They will make a triumphant return however!
In terms of podcast topics, I would love to learn more about why your company originally chose to use chrome-tanned leather over vegetable-tanned, and how you made the decision to include the oil tanning as part of that process. As a chemist, I also love learning about the processes that are used to produce the leather. What kind of oils are used in the process? Just some ideas!
This is a great suggestion and I can dive more into it in an episode. The short version is that Chrome/oil Tanned leather is extremely heat/water stable and long lasting even without maintenance, while Veg tan leather will degrade rather quickly in the elements without continuous care (oiling, etc.) I can go deeper into it but thats the short answer.
Hey dude, I am thinking about purchasing the muddy no 2 pocket sized. I already have the metric sized one and I absolutely love it. Another hidden gem is y'alls file folder. Anyway, the reason I am commenting is because I am an exclusively leuchtturm user. Their pocket notebooks are a half inch taller. Just curious if they would fit with the murky 2 pocket. I find the leuchtturms to have slightly higher page and binding quality than moleskine and the table of contents is priceless when sifting through old notebooks for ideas. also happy to custom order this since I really need it.
This is a great question! When my son was born I was testing the A6 version of the Leuchtturm1917 hardcover insert in our Mini Cut Journal. It does fit, although its closer to the edge than the Moleskine one (of course). I ended up swapping back to Moleskine when I replaced the insert because I went to use their softcover insert, but I can confirm the a6 fits.
