I love this idea! What grade levels do you work with and when they come to you are they coming from core content classes? I need to restructure what I'm doing and I hate pulling from Gen Ed classes, but the kids need this extra one-on-one time. Do you have any recommendations? Thank you!
Chloe pushes in to gen ed and has students come to her room for various reasons. Some come when they need a break/sensory so they can return to class and be successful. Some come for social skills instruction. Some come to do academic work because they need a quiet atmosphere. Chloe occasionally has a student or two that are "self contained" for a period of time so that the student can gain some skills to be able to go back and function in the classroom. So as you can see there are a lot of options. Chloe also has two or three assistants who help her. Her IA help with 'check in/check out " with students at the beginning/ending of the day and they help students stay in the classroom by implementing behavior strategies. Hope this answers your question!
I’m a substitute teacher, & I have a job assignment(RSP) and I’m worried because I have no idea what to expect. I just started subbing a few months ago.
I'm not sure what RSP means in your district, but if the student has an IEP you can read about the student's testing, present levels in areas of concern and goals for the student. If the student has behaviors, he/she should have a behavior plan. Good Luck!
Nice Classroom must I say! Not realistic at all in my classroom because I have 24 students in Third Grade Dual Language Self-Contained. There is just enough space to walk between tables. Time is critical to prepare for students from Pre-Primer to Third Grade.
Wonderful ideas. Valuable time saved. I'll be sure to adopt some of those in my resource room. Thanks!
So neat and pretty, and she has used every bit of space carefully. Thanks for the ideas to help work towards independence. 🤓
I am from Pakistan. It is good decorations your classroom and arrangements.
Awesome video! I have attempted to set up my room with many of the same features.
Terrific!!! Hope you find it works great for you too!
Carla Butorac I have ADHD and this would be soooo good for me because I can’t focus and I get distracted a lot
This is very nice. Thank you for sharing.
Does this teacher (Chloe) have a link to a Facebook page or blog?
I'll show this to my mom she's a resource teacher
This is amazing.
