I think he's pretty balanced. While he's performance is disgustingly strong, he's a furry and his second form is horribly pixilated. So fair trade off

tbh i feel like he is defo dark kasli level of broken, and if not, will surpass her in the future. From what we can tell, the new saga, aka legend zero, features loads of behemoth enemies. And behemoth enemies were defo created to counter the kasli's which is why most of them got immunity to surge. We know from the past that the end-game meta changes how viable certain ubers are. Jizo, who a few years ago was very overpowered, but falled off of the meta due to the stage design of ul stages. Units such as barlog became much more desireable. Ul is also the reason dark kasli is regarded as a better uber than mitama (mind you mitama is still fucking broken in ul). So if legend zero has a huge emphasis on behemoth enemies, I feel like phono will outclass her and will become the best uber.They both have pretty similar dps, while phono has a huge range advantage. What do u think tho?

Banger unit design from Ponos, but it looks a little off from the Battle Cats artstyle. The outlines are thinner, but it could also be that this is one of the few humanoids that isn't just wearing something cat-related or just has cat ears, this is straight up a cat dude
The human ubers would be better as actual cats change my mind
i dont think there even is an artsyle. theres units with good high quality animations, meanwhile they also release units that look a bit blurry. like tackey enemies, looks like all the work went into its attack

Phono's counters are curse and stupid long range. I cant imagine what bullshit they will pull out this time

Welp, quess they made him like this to have something as worth as Dasli in the Uberfest banner... Which is something good, but it also feels like we're entering another wave of powercreep for this year...
Remember the good old days when Gao was considered the only SS tier uber along with Kaza Jizo for being the ONLY versatile, massive dps ubers, and Mitama being S tier just because was the first all trait tanker ?
The game changed and it's good actually, wouldn't be interested in it if it was the same over and over after many year. I just hope they will still keep op uber in fest-exclusive only, otherwise old uber feel pointless
Watch him become more broken when he is in the dark side.
Actuallu Phono's 590-600 intersecting range is a very nice bonus since his triggered range is 600, which means he'll always reach 3x as long as you stunlock enemies with high durability inside his triggered range. Long TBA/backswing enemies or freezed enemies are the best preys for his post-talents Amaterasu's DPS.
Slight issue with that
with how range interacts with speed that'd be VERY difficult to do on an enemy that isn't mad slow
@@Venotix unless you have stone cat and spam it constantly to stop the enemies movement permanently. It is not easy, but doable.
Given the new anti surge attack meta with behemoths I reckon this guy will outclass Dasli during the legend zero saga

wow, a combination of Sanic and Golem Sunfish, lol! seriously tho, a really good unit to get! makes you wonder how his epicfest version will turn out; will it follow the other epicfest trends, and become an anti-traitless specialist? or will it become similar to Dark Kasli, and find a way to become a generalist with good/great DPS and useful CC ability, or have a very useful ability similar to Dark dancer's 100% shield breaker, thus subverting people's expectations? can't wait to find out!

It's pretty good that his full damage in second form covers 10 range, otherwise it would be very strong. I already knew that a sniper Uber Fest Uber would be good, and Phono lived up to the expectation, easily better than Dartanyan, so I guess 5th best in my Tier List
Edit: he's moved up, probably 2nd or 3rd, we'll have to see the new meta

Like take aphro an s rank uber having 13k dps against 1 type of unit and then phono comes along with 11k dps to every type of unit (other than traitless) with the same range and absurd immunities that make them godly in end game meta. overall 2nd or 3r best uber imo. plus they look so cool so best uber.
2nd or 3rd? He is easily 1st. Who else can be better than this guy? Even Mitama has her limits, this dude doesn't have notable weaknesses.

God the dark version is going to be insane, but that’s not the main problem here. 9 times out of 10 the dark version is better than the normal (such as Iz, Kasli, Gao), so Wtf is going to happen if Phono gets the same treatment

I just want to note that the 3x hit range may actually (possibly? perhaps?) be significant as he stands at 600 and you need to prevent enemies from advancing 10 range (is it even possible anymore?) [edit] oh wait, with his 30 speed, even if you freeze the enemy there is still a 1/3 chance of not getting it.
I love how one of his only weaknesses (curse) can be covered by the _other_ best unit in the game (Dalsi with her own curse), which effectively makes using them together a true war crime against the doges.
oh yeah i forgot that CURSE is it's own counter, good thing is i have Dasli now to get this guy...

against slow units, phono is likely to hit all 3 multiattacks as his range is 600 (exactly where all 3 attack ranges meet), and due to clipping it's likely that phonos is actually 599 or 598 range away from the enemy instead of a true 600, making it more probable for all 3 attacks to hit.
The design is a bit.... it's alright. I guess it's fun.
You got the right idea about clipping, but it's not just 1-2 range difference, especially with his 30 speed. More like 570-595 range.

That's assuming if you could own the unit in the first place, and plus it's an Exclusive unit so I think it's worth the stats for them to make a broken unit with the drawback of it being practically near-impossible to obtain

Unpopular opinion but I like dark phono SO much more. I get a lot of value out of the mini-surges, and the slow makes sure enemies don't get in his blindspot easily. I feel like his survivability is almost twice as good as phono's, because whenever I get D. Phono out it takes a while for him to die. Not to mention the fact that D. Phono has almost the same DPS if you count mini-surges, and he can attack traitless too. The only real drawback with D. Phono is his range. It's worse than regular Phono's, but most of the time it doesn't make a huge difference.

Can someone explain to me why people use cameraman more often than courier please I'm really confused about this?
Courier is good for burst damage, but not for consistent DPS. Dies fast and has kinda long recharge to create a nice stack. That's where Cameraman comes in, who has way better survivability. Her slow speed might seem like a downside at first, but it also makes for a denser stack.

His immunities are clearly his defining factors. Every other backliner dies to Wave or Surge but not Phono.

Yeah, this unit is busted af. But isn't the "massive damage against everything" a bit cramped already? This is like the fourth or something unit with that ability, regardless of how much this one invalidates the previous ones, I would have liked it to be some kind of support or debuffer unit, something like that.

I would love if the Epicfest version had ridiculous range, with low dps, but insane damage vs traitless and a bunch of immunities to make him the ultimate counter for annoying traitless crowd controllers like Henry and croakly. That would he lovely.
Nah it will most likely just do more damage and apply some sort of debuff or gain a new ability

He's basically an Uberfest Naala, except he hits harder against everything with a trait. Being able to hit till 1000 range with each hit doing crazy snipe damage is just batshit insane.
