Wow. I'm a huge fan of cocteau twins and beach house is my favorite band but I've been putting listening to this album off. This level of praise makes me know that was a mistake.

I was feeling depressed and unmotivated lately until I came across this gem. It definitely saved my days or I should say , it saved my life . Suddenly I realize life is still meaningful with beautiful music like this that can comfort our souls in this chaotic world. Thank you Beach house for making such an amazing album.

I love albums like this. Music that flows so effortlessly, full of joy, sadness, love, and best of all, heart. I have been listening to Beach House everyday for the last week. What a joy of sound that greets my ears........
Oh my god this album is incredible. Some of their best work ever - and given how high a regard I hold a lot of their albums in generally, that's saying something. They *really* pushed the boat out here - a super versatile, self-produced, expansive 18 track 85 minute double album. Incredible.

I sort of agree that there's some filler; I only listen to ESP, Another Go Around, and really most of the 4th chapter when I listen to the full album. But definitely a handful of tracks to keep coming back to for sure. Also, respectfully, New Romance is one of their best songs whatttttttt!!! I'm just taking it personally LOL it was my #1 most listened to song in 2022 on Spotify. Curious if your opinions have changed
It really was like a fairy tale, my little runaway. The stars were there and it was magical. Ill never get over the love I experienced and how is all vanished. Beach house will always make me remember how beautiful life and love could be and that it is ok if someone chooses to leave whatever that reason may be.
Typically, when I find a good album, there's that one or two songs that make me want to listen to them all day on repeat. This one has like... ten of them.
Before I found this whole album I knew and liked 2, when I first heard it whole I added 1. But with 2-3 times, I got like 10 alltoghether. 10+ times and I guess it's 15 of them
THIS is such an incredibly sneaky great album that I have had a hard time selecting in front of their other albums to listen to. I went and saw their show here last tour as well. Loved it. But am just fully understanding the brilliance of this one lately. Thank you, Victoria, for your amazing body of work to enjoy. You are amazing.
Like the first light of twilight, this music opens your eyes to old promises and to all the anomalies of nature. Evocative of powers beyond observation, these pieces pull the strings of the heart, attract nostalgia and awaken regrets, flayed lives and the torpor of tormented watchers 🌺
when it comes to bands that are always evolving and yet consistently puts out incredible albums, they are probably in the top 10 of the all time greats.
Just caught them live when a friend gave me their ticket. Did not expect the show to be so damn amazing. The lights, the musicianship, the vocals... all were fantastic.
I'm a huge fan. I'm not sure if you can ever rate a beach house album. Personally, I let their albums speak to me over time and experiences. At this point, I would rate the group one of the greatest and most modern/inspiring sets of individuals destined to make great music in this day and time. To that, I say thank you.
I absolutely love Beach House. I was lucky enough to see them perform live last year at the Life is Beautiful fest in Las Vegas. Their songs and sound are deep and multi-layered. Victoria’s ethereal, distant, and beautifully haunting voice reminds me of a modern Hope Sandoval. Mazzy Star was one of the first indie mainstream female vocalists with that sound (vocally speaking). A lot of the kids today don’t know that…and they should be educated.
I saw Beach House in Sydney circa 2015 in a corner of an old sandstone art block, at a laneway festival. Small crowd, narrow space, sun lit afternoon, what a sound, what a band.
I've listened to this album so many times since it came out last year. It immediately felt like classics I've been listening to forever. The Bells and Hurts to Love back to back in the last quarter always get me

Next to asking what gravity, dark matter and the meaning of life is/are, human kinds' next most wanted to be answered question is how Beach House just keeps doing it. What is "it"?? "It" is making the best album I've ever heard, then making another one, another, then yet another one, etc., and none of them outdo or undo any of their own past releases acclaim and praise, but stand side by side as perfect masterpieces in their own rights, to be listened to at their own times, for your own personal listening reasons. If never getting an answer to how they do it means they keep doing it, I hope we never receive that answer. Beach House, yet again, cements their existence in this life as one of the best things to just be here with us. Thank you BH
Finally getting around to hearing this.... The bar they set with "Devotion" is so high and hard to top, but this is definitely strong. I hear more Stereolab here, at least in the opener.
Beach House was incredibly original. I never heard anything like them. While I love this album, I can’t help but feel that they have an “M83/ Switchblade Symphony” vibe to them now. I miss the atmospheric feeling of isolation. Turtle Island… Tokyo Witch. Those were amazing. It brought pure emotion. And it really felt like you were transported to another world.

GUYS!!! Okay so I really felt the need to write this because something special/magical ust happened. Im currently going through a fever, right now was Im writing this. It's 5:54am but around 10pm last night I went to bed early cause I didnt feel good. At around 12am Im super hot with a fever, headache and body ache kinda. A bit of mucus too. Anyway, I felt real bad and got myself a few water bottles to have next to me to stay hydrated. I also took a Tylenol. Well let me tell you, I couldn't sleep. Ive been waking up like every 30-40 min and nothing. At around 3:30am, something told me to listen to Once Twice Melody (it's my absolute favorite song of all time) Anyway, it was like 5:45ish and my God i finally slept, my fever went way down and the headache is down about 50%. Their music made me feel so much better! Beach House is truly magical. Thanks for reading this long story, if you're still here but I really had to share. See ya BH fam! 🖤

It has some filler, but when you condense it to its best tracks (1,2,5,6,9,13,14,18), it is a stunningly great work.

yeah just a couple i do not really like but not horrible. this is a complete solid album and a double album of solid tracks is quite rare.
