To end all argument, at 3:30 a perfect demonstration of double-declutching on an upchange. Not a sound from the crash gearbox!
No need on upshift with sliding mesh gearbox, in fact it is sure way to miss a gear.
More complex than you think as it’s a gate change with cone clutch so far more difficult than postwar crash
It was well driven but is a gate change with cone clutch, far more difficult than post WW2 crash box.
Looks like a centre throttle. It seems to move quite well too.
And at 4:50 a very clean downchange.
