This is a bit of a random thing, but I remember mowing my lawn after a longer while of not doing it (it kept raining). Then I look out of my window to see seven crows marching through the lawn in a perfect line, making sure to get every worm that the mowing exposed.
Those things really are smart ngl.

the scariest ability of Ravens/Crows is their ally ability. The fact that they and wolves are BFF's....
They make for super good friends to people too. It can be fun making friends with a murder of crows and having them show up sometimes just to hang out or wanting to play.
More than that, if you befriend a group/murder of crows and you personally have enemies guess what? They become your crow buddies enemies as well.
Crows also if slighted or angered you'll not only feel that wrath of that crow it's family and friends and group but it's childrens it's children's children and so on...freaking generational hate lol

The hummingbird struggling to beat the butterfly made my fucking day xD. My grandfather had a fishing nursery and one time a really big eagle owl managed to get stuck in the water. He rescued it and cared for it for like a day until it was good enough to fly off.
Ravens are straight up terrifying, you merc just one of them, and they pass down that grudge to several generations and the grandchildren of their children still hates you.
Right like even if you move they will hunt you down or if a single one of those decendants sees you it's over it will spread your crimes again to others and it's family bringing them back to hunt you down

Counterpoint to your counterpoint: geese are absolute lunatics. They will happily attack you even if they have no chance at winning because you were standing funny or too close or too far. They might struggle to kill or cripple you but getting non-lethal chunks ripped out of you is not a pleasant experience.

@@dinomannick2559 Hogwash. We had loads of canadian geese nesting in our cities park. Never once saw them beeing even remotely agressive. Even when they had babies it was not an issue to just stroll on past them.

Someone in my neighborhood has at least one peacock, I can hear it at all hours of the day, it may even be the same one that took a walk through my yard and freaked out my cat

The American Woodcock seen here is also called: the Timberdoodle, Hokumpoke, Bogsucker, Labrador Twister, and Little Russet Feller. And the Woodcock’s species name, scolopax, is Greek for Woodcock, because of course it is.
Also, that little dance they’re doing is intended to mimic the sensation of rain and drive critters out of sand and soil for them to eat.

One of my favorite birds that i recently found out are Shrikes. They basically impale their prey on the thorns of trees.

Alana, I hope you’ll react to TierZoo’s Raptor Tier List at some point in the near future. He really takes the time to expand on the raptor builds in that tier list, and also corrects some information he gives in this video. For example, in his Bird Tier List, he says eagles’ long wings prevent them from flying well in dense forests. In his Raptor Tier List video, he states that there is one eagle build that DOESN’T have this issue: the Harpy Eagle. Harpy Eagles have much shorter wings than typical eagles, and this means they have a much easier time navigating dense forests and jungles.

I am going to guess SmugAlana was awakened by a Black Woodpecker. I have heard it few times myself, at first once I was alarmed by the sound but, quickly realized that it is a Black Woodpecker just looking for food. It is an interesting bird, both by look and behavior.
I photograph birds and I don't know how anyone could be so disturbed by a woodpecker...its one of the easiest birds to detect in winter but in spring and summer there are way louder birds

It's not RuneScape music, Alana. It's the intro theme from a series of science documentaries called Eyewitness. It started as a book series, but then got made into a series of 30-minute documentaries based on the books.
Watched a freaking pair of geese body a group of marines at expeditionary combat school out of Gulfport MS. They bloodied three of em and scratched their faces up, they quit after the fourth bubba football kicked one off of the girl in the group when she started screaming it was trying to peck her eye out. they waited until the group started to retreat before going on the attack again. The marines got into the building and those geese stood sentry at that door for the rest of my watch period waiting for the bubbas in different camo's than the rest of the base to come back out. They couldn't bother with navy green digital camo but the moment a darker toned marine camo was in sight they became unhinged murder birdies.
Kookaburras should be somewhere in A or B tier since they are adorable and have trained humans in giving them food.
