There is nothing quite as absorbing and fun as plunging into a John D. MacDonald Travis McGee novel with the whole atmosphere of boat life in Florida coming alive as McGee plies his trade as a "Salvager" of the lost and wronged. As it happens the lineup in your collection are five of my all time favorites with "A Tan and Sandy Silence" and "Free Fall in Crimson" at the very top of my list. Great Haul and enjoy the MacDonald!
@art.and.lit.matters Thanks. I've only read a handful of the Travis McGee novels but I thoroughly enjoyed each one I read. I'm looking forward to these next entries.
I was just thinking of you the other day as I was going through my shelves and found one by V I - something. LOL I have it now I have to read it, you said it was your very most favorite book ever! Best of luck on your move...too funny, my son just moved to Florida also ! Enjoy
@LeeKempter Ah! Yes! That is such a good book. It gets off to a slow start but it isn't long before it sinks the hook. I still want her to write a sequel.
There is an author who lives around the Ashville area named Meagan Lucas who has an excellent short story collection titled Here in the Dark. I'd highly recommend her writing.
I love this video. You scared me at first. You're moving to Florida? What part, maybe I can come visit. The first short story collection had so many amazing authors.
@@marnasorensen988 Short stories are an art form all their own. It's a different reading experience than reading novels. Hope you enjoy the ones you read.
Now you’re going to have to move all those books to Florida.
You're awesome
@@Schoolofbooks17 Thank you! You know how to make my day.

Why, of all the clickbait titles 😂
@GenreBooks23 Do I do click bait titles? I didn't realize. Sorry.
@ I’m joking, but I would imagine a lot of people thought you were off BookTube for a moment…
@GenreBooks23 Yeah, I caught that as I started filming. Hence, the quick correct. Then I decided to keep it for a title. My imp got the better of me.
