There are now millions of immigrants here who have been encouraged to live out their own diverse lives here and don't respect traditional British values or laws. Our authorities are actively suppressing British values and encouraging other cultures. Immigrants don't have to learn our language, join in our culture or way of life and under a Labour government this social experiment will only expand. • @santipolo1963

Look, I am 60 and when I was 46 I was actually proud to be British.
Born here in Dagenham in 1963 to a working class family life wasn't perfect but, it did feel like there was a point, a point to working hard, a point to paying taxes, a point to vote.
I am disabled now but, I cannot get a doctors appointment. Yesterday I looked see if I could get a dentist, there are none here in Northampton for NHS patients. I am also not poor enough to pay for dental care even if I could get it.
I get disability benefits but, during this cost of living crisis, they've all been swallowed up by increased costs. My husband works and I took on a lodger too just to try and give myself enough to pay for the things I need because, the state no longer provides me money specifically for my needs any longer, it goes to filthy rich energy companies and water companies which poison our water.
Earlier I sat waiting in my car and asked myself, why am I still living here?
I could, if I wanted to, retire to the Philippines, my husbands family are from there.
14 years ago I know the Philippines as a corrupt third world country. Now, I see our own government and I feel, by comparison, at least the Philippines has honest corruption, at least everyone accepts it happens. Here the Tories are just the very definition of corrupt both morally and financially.
I've no problems with people being wealthy, good luck to them, I do have an issue with them literally allowing ordinary people to die on NHS waiting lists, to watch and laugh as people died of covid trapped in their homes, alone, whilst this lot had parties.
But, as I said, I am 60 now, likely 61 by the election. At the end of a decade under labour I will be 70. I really cannot wait until then to pay sensible prices for my energy use, to get a doctors appointment.
Let me offer up some suggestions, controversial they may be.
    1. Any doctor trained in the NHS must work in the NHS for at least 5 years and that means dentists too.
    2. No GP can do private work, it's one of the other
    3. We reach out around the world and bring in the immigrants to staff our care homes, hospitals and schools, we cannot train our own people quick enough and, we get rid of these awful laws about denying them their family.
    4. We remove the House of Lords in favour of an elected second chamber. Sadly, this government has corrupted it so much with their own pals and chums, it's not fit for purpose.
    5. Force all building contractors to provide at least 50% social housing with every project, cut all rights to object to new builds except on extreme conservation grounds
    6. End totally non dom status
    7. End the loopholes of the wealthy to avoid paying tax, if that means they leave the country then, so be it.
    8. Limit MP's salaries to increases in line with state pensions
    9. Make it illegal to pay less than inflation wage increases to anyone in any job.
    10. Stop this softly approach to drugs. Those of us living on the estate of England having to breath in the foul odour of cannabis causing headaches shouldn't have to.
    11. Make medical grade cannabis in a form which affects no one else, available on prescription to those who need it.
    12. Maternity pay, make it illegal for a mother to retail her job on maternity pay and then hand her notice in at the end of the maternity pay for anything other than medical reasons
    13. Reduce the income threshold for settlement visits for families.
    14. Stop charging those in the visa system from paying twice for the NHS both from their salary and from an extra tax burden.
    15. Fix immigration, if applications were dealt with in other places nearer to where the immigrants come from, it would help but, get the backlog gone in the first year of government. Either send them back or integrate them
    16. End our favoured country status with Israel as long as they refuse to negotiate a two state solution. Not Jewish people but specifically with any Israeli government
Get things done, do in the first year all those zero costs processes. Government reform, locking in terms of office so another Tory government can't go down dragging the country with them.
Mostly, make friends with Europe, whatever we can do to get back the benefits we once had. No one surely thinks Brexit in any form was good for the UK do they?
Stop agreeing with the Tory policies after an election, it makes Labour look weeks how you just go and agree with every policy they dream up to trap in incoming Labour government into unaffordable spending.

The truth is the only way we can ever have a Labour government is if the move to the centre ground. Labour tried a left wing leadership and you can argue about the client media or whatever... But people didn't and won't vote for it.
People say the Labour government failed us in 2008, bailing out the banks. But if they hadn't people would have lost their homes. The debt was high after the 2008 crash because the UK had followed the deregulation Greenspan model from 1979 onwards.
But I have to say I was better off under Labour. I didnt agree with the Iraq war but then the NHS seemed better supported as did our education...
When it comes to immigration yes we did have people come into our country to work... And no government will sort it unless they do real harm to the country. The aging population want their pensions and rightly so... But those pensions are paid for by the workforce... If as we have in the UK an aging population then the number of workers is not enough to pay for the retired... So either have immigration or more children... And its too late for the latter as no one can afford to have them as we are all at work.

After 14 years EVERY area of government is on it's knees. I just hope two things. First that Labour make it clear that it will take years to reverse, certainly far more than one term. Second, that we need electoral reform. Most of us feel and are, disenfranchised by FPTP voting. WE see the dominance of Westminster and know that we live in the margins. WE need to feel involved and FPTP does the opposite. MPs work for their party, far more than their voters. To me, the best option would be STV but both Labour and Conservatives don't want that. Without reform the Conservatives will get in again and continue their march to a hard right state.

II remember the good times when Labour were running the country and the horrendous times when the Tories were fighting working people seeking fair pay & conditions for a fair day’s work!
Every time the Tories are in power they bring this country to its knees, it’s a disgrace!
Ordinary people should not be the only ones paying taxes, the loopholes used by the mega rich need blocking!
It is not right that profit from investments ( requiring little or no work by the investor!) is taxed at a rate far below the rate on the wages people earn!

Back to austerity again? I believe we will get our future back when we are willing to tax and spend appropriately on services that benefit the wider economy. Not to let the private sector do more. We arent in the highest levels of national debt historically, yet we face an unprecedented fall in living standards and threat to our national security. Likening our economy to a personal overdraft at its limit is disingenuous to say the least.

    Starmer on Ukraine:
"What I've seen already amounts to war crimes, particularly the awful attacks on civilians. And I think it's very important that he's held to account, and all those that are acting with him know that they too will be held to account. I am not sure if Starmer turning the Labour Party into Margaret Thatchers Labour Party is the change we need. Starmer is someone who has voted in parliament to protect domestic terrorists. Like those of the royal parachute regiment who murdered 14 innocent uk citizens in the Uk. He has voted time and time with the Tories to protect these domestic terrorists. So it is no surprise when he stated clearly that Israel has the right to commit war crimes. I am sure he is also defending the continuation of selling weapons that are being used in genocide. Starmer will last 5 minutes in office before their is a coup to oust him, along with many front-line mp's to be replaced with those who will divide the country and almost certainly force us into a civil war that will destroy us for generations to come. But what you'll get from Labour is the exact same things we got under the Tories. They are the same party now, the Uniparty, taking it in turns to screw us all over.

What you will get from a Labour government will be the establishment of the UK Islamic Caliphate. If Charles plays along, they'll make him an honorary ayatollah.

I agree it's time for a change. Im 50 and always voted Labour. But alsa I won't be voting for labour, simple reason Starmer I don't recognise labour anymore. I do see a red tory party led by a tory in a red tie. And I know I'm not alone. So yes time for a change. Honest politicians with feeling and empathy for all and politicians who will not be bought by big businesses and foreign governments. And politicians who will strive to enhance the lives of the people and not tax them to death
