    I’ve literally watch every hair curling tutorial on you tube (no joke 😅) and this has been the best, easiest to understand video yet. Thank you 🙌🏻

    Well that got me excited to curl my hair! Funny you say about the flat iron and breakage because I've been noticing this on my blonde fine thin hair! Loving your videos!

    Great tips, especially doing the one section reversed forward. Question, do you put your hair in a bun at the top of your head when you sleep? I find doing this helps my style and fullness last. Or do you sleep with your hair down?

    Your hair is SO pretty. I am trying to get use to the curling iron with a clamp. I can wrap the hair, then it don't want to turn lose. I'm not sure about the clicking on the clamp. You did help me so much with understanding it, but I just don't think I'm clicking it at the right time. I need a slow motion video. lol. I'm use to wrapping my bra length hair around the curling iron (with no clamp) holding it for XX amount of time then letting it go. It looks good, it just don't last but maybe an hour. I SO want to learn to do the roll, twist, but keep it in the barrel, the roll twist again, but keep it in the barrel, and so on. Thanks for your help.

    • @JessHallock
      @JessHallock  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      In my experience that is usually due to the being really dry! If you have any "heavy" conditioner or masks then I'd use those! otherwise make sure you are adding oil to your mid strand and ends every night!

    I used to be in the salon behind the chair and could do it all. Ha! Now, when it comes to my hair all these years later, I am so lost. The texture and thickness has been a shock! It used to be so thick and so curly. Now a lot thinner and slicker and will NOT hold a curl, for even 60 seconds! What can I use that isn't gummy with a curling iron? Love all of your videos!

    what do you use dry shampoo for and when do you use it? i have super fine straight hair - typically have to put hair up after 1st wash & wear ... such a bummer

    • @JessHallock
      @JessHallock  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Favorite day shampoo for fine hair is the Kevin Murphy fresh hair! I really try to only use it on the last day before I’m going to wash it! If you can slowly train your scalp to go even just one more day, it does take a few months to get there, but it’s worth it so that you aren’t at the mercy of your dry shampoo!

    Are you using anything for heat protectant? For instance, my hair is long and course, natural curl - what should I spray on it before blow drying? Should I then use another dry spray protectant before curling?

    I have been consistently told that my hair is too thick and too heavy to hold a curl like your beautiful curls. Is this a true statement? If not, any additional tips for heavy, thick hair? (I have also been told that my strands are fine, not coarse…I just have a lot of those strands to make up the thickness)

    • @JessHallock
      @JessHallock  ปีที่แล้ว

      Sounds like you have extremely healthy, thick hair! If your texture is a fine texture, but you just have a lot of it then I would try prepping your hair with one of those dry texture products to help it hold! If you’re open to cutting some layers and tear hair, then that would obviously loosen up the weight as well! The last resort would be to use my three barrel and curl method instead because your hair would hold the deep waver just fine and then less of your hair is curled so that’s also very lightweight!
      It is my very first video on YT for reference :)
