I saw the comments saying "man, that's a lot of butter" and I thought "yeah, that's a lot" Then more butter came for the eggs. Now THAT was a ton of butter
I remember when Stephen first realized he had high cholesterol and was sad he couldn’t eat eggs as much anymore. I told him this then, eggs aren’t high in cholesterol, it’s the amount of butter you put in the eggs that makes it high. You can easily make scrambled eggs with a tablespoon or less of butter. Will it taste as good? No. But it’s still a perfectly delicious breakfast option.
I love making egg sandwiches! Usually I fry myself an over easy egg with some cheese and ham. The runny yolk just makes it that much better in my opinion.
Watching Stephen use the tip of his finger to move the stupid *MELTING BUTTER* around in the pan gave me the most anxiety I've gotten watching a StephenVlog in a while, and we _did_ just get the "crawl" horror vlog the other day. Nahhh man this was way more anxiety-inducing 😅
Really glad Mal is enjoying Persona as much as she is. I randomly tried P5 on a whim a few years back and ever since I've gotten really engrossed in the series. It's really good at getting its hooks into you!
Wow, we're really making our egg sandwiches differently. I tend to fry the the egg first and then put the sandwich pieces on top of the egg so that the egg melts on the sandwich slices.. Then I'll flip it and fold the egg up on top on the sandwich that's now underneath the egg. I'll then add cheese and either bacon or sliced sausage, folding the sandwich halves and let it fry a bit more on each side.
A simple guilty pleasure of mine is a simple egg sandwich, where it's just plain toast (sometimes bread, untoasted), buttered on the inside, with a warm and yolky over-easy egg in the middle. Maybe a bit of ham and cheese with it sometimes. And some salt and black pepper. It can be messy, but man, if I ain't satisfied after having one.
“I can’t play Persona 5, it’s too long.” He says as he is playing Tears of the Kingdom and Starfield at the same time. 😂😂 I get it though Stephen because I am the opposite, if BotW and TotK weren’t Zelda games I would not have played them because to me those games are “too long” meanwhile I’ve played through Persona 5 three times (vanilla version twice and Royal once).
I've never thought of making the egg like an omelette, then cutting it into 2 then stacking, I usually just flip the omelette onto itself but this is the same thing lol
Part of the reason I love P5 so much is because despite all the stuff going on in it, it is a very cozy game. I think that last clip showed that very well!
I wish I could have an egg sandwich, there’s a young one in the house now that is severely allergic to eggs. So I’ve had to replace all the eggs in the house with seasoned tofu
Have they ever considered buying some ghee for cooking? Considering how much butter Stephen uses for cooking, ghee might be a better option to prevent burning the milk solid
I’ve been playing through both Persona 4 Golden and Persona 5 Royal for the Switch and I love them both. I’m really glad you’re enjoying playing Royal Mal. Just out of curiosity, when you said you were on the second act, what did you mean by that? You mentioned you got the Treasure already but I’m wondering what Palace you’ve done or are doing now. Cause I’m a bit confused.
I sometimes to what my dad calls a "worker sandwich". Which is just a fried egg, cheese, ham and ketchup between two pieces of toast. And yeah, Persona's systems are a bit complicated. But once you get the hang of them, I think they're fine.
I really enjoyed my time with Persona 5, and it's great to see Mal having fun with Royal. When my partner would watch me play, he was always entertained by Joker's after-battle animation waving for people to follow him. I have no idea why. 😂
I'd like to see Mal play Persona 3 and 4 sometime in the future, their micromanagement isn't as precise as Persona 5 in my opinion, but the other aspects of the games (theming, writing, world building, and character design), are just as well done as Persona 5's. Persona 4 Golden is the definitive version of Persona 4, but Persona 3 is cursed to have three different versions that could be considered the "superior version" of the game. Persona 3 FES is basically Persona 3's equivalent to Persona 5 Royal, but Portable (the PSP version), also has it's fair share of changes (controllable party members, skill cards, and a female main character with her own Social Links/Confidants). There is also Persona 3 Reload coming out in February 2024, which is probably the safest bet for someone who's only played Persona 5, as I imagine a lot of the Quality of Life stuff from Persona 5 will be Persona 3 Reload in some capacity. And Stephen, the developer of Persona 5, ATLUS, has made a multitude of games, all featuring familiar monster designs seen in Persona 5, that are in completely different genres and are like, half as long as Persona 5, but are just as great despite being only 10-20 years old, but unfortunately, some of the older games are pretty hard to come by without paying a high price because ATLUS wasn't as well known back then, and those older games haven't had a single re-release since the intial launch day. Apologies for the wall of text.
Hoping I can get back into Persona 5 Royal soon. I wouldn't consider myself averse to longer games (e.g. played through all Xenoblades minus X and Torna if you want to count that) but even after having played Persona 4 Golden a few months ago (which I enjoyed a lot + my first Persona game in general), P5R just feels...long. Guess the game just has slow start (only ~11 hours in and just past the Mementos intro)
So happy it seems like Mal is loving Persona 5. Seems like she might be getting sucked in like I did. I think I put 90 hours in 2 weeks during my first playthrough.
"A good way to start a Sunday" Stephen says as he consumes a 1/4 cup of butter.
I saw the comments saying "man, that's a lot of butter" and I thought "yeah, that's a lot"
Then more butter came for the eggs. Now THAT was a ton of butter
That's a lot of butter, it's maybe SIXTEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEN times the amount you need

“Wow, that’s a lot of butter” Chaz, upon seeing this vlog
Stephen: “I have woken up-“
Me: *watches in horror as Stephen spreads the butter WITH HIS FINGER* “-and chosen violence”
"I'm winning" - Stephen when talking about fighting his cholesterol pill
I love making egg sandwiches! Usually I fry myself an over easy egg with some cheese and ham. The runny yolk just makes it that much better in my opinion.

I trust he washed his hands before he used them as a utensil.
@@travellinmark2745i think they meant the heat and burning his finger lol
@siya4ful honestly it’s both for me 🤣🤣
@@siya4ful eh, the butter isn't going to heat up fast enough to go from "okay" to "burning his finger" before he can react and take his finger away.
Really glad Mal is enjoying Persona as much as she is. I randomly tried P5 on a whim a few years back and ever since I've gotten really engrossed in the series. It's really good at getting its hooks into you!
Look at you with the firm eggs!!! They've even a little brown!! I'm such a proud nephew 😭

only Stephen would salt and pepper the eggs after cooking them in a whole stick of butter

That sandwich looks delicious. I can't eat a single thing that went in it, I'm so jealous.
Same!
Sir! That is a lot of butter! If I'm feeling up to this weekend I think I might go on a walk myself cause I'm needing it.
I could hear Chaz sweating when Stephen started talking about playing persona

I've never thought of making the egg like an omelette, then cutting it into 2 then stacking, I usually just flip the omelette onto itself but this is the same thing lol
Okay I knew from stream that people said Stephen had used a lot of butter, but MY GOD did he use a lot of butter!
