As Salaam Alaikum, wa ratah mutallahi wa barakatu. In my perspective, being half Black American and Cherokee, the Cherokee I know because of my father. The Black side, I have no idea in reference to Africa. My identity is mostly defined from the inner city of Cincinnati, OH and the Martial Arts. But as a Muslim, I focus from my reading and my current understanding of the Qur'an, which teaches me on how to be humane, and to show Godliness, to be in a life of structure for people to see. Muslims are commanded to always walk in peace towards all mankind, with war being defined as the last resort.. So, I personally don't focus on a particular culture in order to learn how to walk as a Muslim. The Qur'an teaches me on how to be seen as a man. Osu!!!

We have a hard time loving our own culture unlike many other groups who are Non-Arab and are Muslim. This talk was good this is just a quick response after listening I’ll be back with a deep dive or I’ll even call you. Good work my brother. I’m an also research that Dubois quote.

Being Muslim is not emulating an arab or dressing like an Arab. Being Muslim is about emulating the Quran and Sunnah. Being a Muslim is an identity and yes we have to follow the Sunnah from the way we dress, eat, have relations with our wife, how to use the bathroom and so many more other ways of implementing the Quran and Sunnah. Being Muslim is a 24/7 thing not just one day of the week or only during Ramadan being Muslim, dressing Muslim and carrying ourselves like a Muslim is until you DIE
