Woody is literally the endgame consumer that killed cinema and acts high and mighty like you’re a boomer for having taste. Paranormal activity top 3 my dude…
There are a few movies that are genuinely good. Guardians 1 and 2 had fantastic cinematography, good character arcs, some of the best music in current movies, and a better storyline than most marvel movies. Loki and wandavision are both more nuanced than most of the movies, and are genuinely good. But you're spot on for most the movies, especially endgame which is essentially a superhero compilation of cool moments, with the barebones of time travel that loki expanded on. Over-rated movie and nowhere near as good as even infinity war, not even a top 5 marvel movie.
@@aidanford4285 liked Guardians, just haven’t gotten into the overarching story and my gf tells me I wouldn’t understand if I just jumped right into Loki for instance. Might set a couple days aside to watch them all chronologically.
@@westonprather3157 I'm probably not the best authority on whether or not you need to watch the movies to be able to understand Loki because of my knowledge of the comics, but I feel like if you've seen the core avengers movies as well as at least the newest Thor movie then everything makes sense, maybe chuck Dr Strange in there as the series is tying into what will be happening in the upcoming movie. At the very least Thor Ragnarok and Dr Strange took a different approach to the typical superhero soap opera formula they usually go with. Both are almost more of a fantasy movie rather than a super hero movie and IMO worked really well because of that change up. I cant pick just a top 3. Its like music or comparing sports athletes or comparing anything really. It all depends on what genre we are talking about, what kind of mood I want to be in or what mood I am in. With sports athletes you cant compare athletes from different eras. Basketball in the 80s was completely different then basketball in the 2000’s and even more different in the 2010’s-2020’s and etc etc etc. Football is completely different in every single decade. The rule changes, the philosophy, the athletes, etc etc etc. cant compare them, they’re basically completely different sports even though its the same sport. And the athletes decades ago dont have the same advantages athletes have today with nutrition, workout structures, medicine, etc etc. So you cant compare an athlete taking on an athlete 20+ years ago. Completely different times, advantages, etc. Music depends on if im in a sad, happy, hyped, party, vibing, sleepy, peaceful, whatever mood. Same with movie. I cant compare them. I can give you my favorite in a genre (maybe) but even thats hard to narrow it down. I live film, I love music. I’ve studied film my whole life and its impossible for me to even give you my favorite anything. I might be able to give me my top 100 but then I would struggle with whats being left out of the top 100 compared to what made the top 100 and the 100 couldnt be in order. It would just be my favorite 100 movies in no particular order because like I said I cant just pick my #1 all time favorite movie.
